Description
The Downpour Jacket solves the age-old issue of noisy rain gear. A 100% waterproof and breathable 3-layer GORE-TEX fabric combined with a soft, peached face fabric keeps you utterly silent in the tree stand. Whitetail-specific features include a waterproof harness pass-through port that allows you to wear your jacket over a harness without interfering with the hood. Pit zips provide enhanced temperature regulation during warmer early-season storms or longer treks to the stand. No crinkling sleeves to break the silence, no soggy baselayers to cut the trip short—this is cutting-edge design built into one of the most critical pieces of your system.

I received this jacket as a replacement for my thunderhead jacket. I ordered the xxl as I like to have extra room to wear a thick puffy underneath. This coat fits larger than the thunderhead equivalent but is still quite functional and lighter. It’s a bit noisier than the thunderhead but is nowhere near the chip bag crinkling sound of most rain jackets.

Great Jacket for rainy day turkey hunting or a early season sit in the whitetail woods. I bought mine in Cover 2 as a Spring/Early Fall system, coat and pants. Quiet enough to pull the bow back with no "crunchy" sounds. Ultra lightweight, and breathable for climbing into the stand or a muggy rainy morning calling in turkeys. 10/10 would recommend.
