Downpour Pant Reviews

Quiet, packable

Much quieter than my old rain pants. Comfortable, packed nicely when rolled up. Kept me dry in the moderate rain the one day. Nice pants.

No more wet days.

Excellent material. I ordered 3x

Hunting pants

Really nice pants, haven’t used them yet but material feels very quality.

Keeps You Dry

Wish it had some pockets.

Replacement for thunderhead

Got these as a warranty replacement for my thunderhead pants they aren't even close to thunderhead pants alot lounder which is disappointing quality of pants to be determined

Awesome

They are an improvment from the competition. They seam to be a little quieter than the rest.

Great pants and they keep you really dry

Great lightweight goretex pant

Great waterproof pant that is soft and quiet with enough room to fit over warmer clothing in cold temps, but can be worn separately in warmer weather.

Downpour Pant Gets the Job Done!!

Versatile pant for those wet days. Another Sitka win!

Great Pants for Rain

Great pants for the rain and to pack in your treestand bag. Still getting use to this newer style from the older downpour that was a little more quite but was more bulky. Fit is as to be expected as these are sized up slightly to fit over other layers already.

The fit design is very

The fit design is very wrong. The waist back "elastic" doesn't stretch so all of the fabric bunches into a bubble butt and the front is pulled too tight to bend or squat. These pants won't fit a normal human. Along with this issue, the legs are huge. Following the size guide, I ordered a Med and a Large to try. In actuality, I should be a Small, if the waist could be altered. Very frustrated to pay $35 return shipping. Sitka Gear needs to check Quality Control before shipping out.

Works great and fits over

Works great and fits over my hunting pants perfectly!

Great in the rain

Only issue is I did not realize they do not have pockets.

Perfect fit, great zippers and conveniently located pockets. Best way to stay dry in the spring/early fall woods !!

Great!

These pant kept me dry all day!

Great product

This product offers a good combination of light weight packability and rain protection. The fabric is fairly quiet for a synthetic material. This is my second set, the first had a defect in the hood draw string so that's why I gave 4 stars here instead of 5. One reason I buy Sitka gear is for the fit. Other brads are designed for a slim fit which does not match my body type very well. The more generous Sitka cut also offers a more room for different layers depending on the weather.

Excellent Rain Repellant Pants

Had an opportunity to wear these pants in some wet weather and they did an excellent job of keeping me dry.

Item remplace but not de same fabric

I’m happy to have received the replacement pants under warranty. However, the model has changed since I purchased my set, and the fabric no longer matches my jacket. As a result, my outfit is no longer coordinated.

The pants are absolutely perfect

The pants are absolutely perfect for staying dry while remaining quiet and lightweight.

Changed

Completely changed from previous year design. Had even contacted Sitka about change. Previous year had insulated liner, new current version has none and feels thin. Likely resulting in tearing when out in the field.

Downpour pants

Horrible rain gear, wore it once and both legs leaked

Not worth the cost

I used the downpour pants for three days. A small hole was near the zipper that I did not notice. The zipper caught and pulled loose at the hole. I was assuming there wouldn't be an issue given Sitka's reputation. After returning the pants I was told they would repair the zipper for $240-278 dollars. For a zipper. I do expect a lot of my gear and i would not mind paying a reasonable amount for a repair but ¾ of the purchase price for a zipper is just uncalled for. I am really disappointed.

Terrible rain gear

I have the tops and bottoms rain gear with the inner brown lining, two zippers on the legs of the pants, the tops have no under arm zippers. This is quite possible the worst rain gear I have ever worn, don't even think of moving in this stuff, you will drown from the inside out. The "look cool" factor is there but that's as far as it goes, a premium price tag for junk, stay far away from this stuff please. I can't see the 4 stars after reading these reviews unless sitting you're in a chair all day, even then you're better off with a rubber ducky yellow plastic rain coat and pants for 20$ I don't know what the test criteria is for this stuff but it ain't hunting, maybe looking "cool" next to the pickup picture "cool" but it ain't hunting sad to say again.

The Sitka Downpour Pant is tough, dependable, and keeps me dry when the weather turns ugly.
