Jacket design is great, fits
Jacket design is great, fits well and very warm! I especially like the fleece lined chest pockets. The reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the right cuff seam failed below the thumb hole after a few days of only wearing it between my truck and the shop. Fortunately Sitka offers an excellent repairs service!

Best cold weather duck hunting jacket
Bought the original Duck Oven in 2017. The new version is a serious upgrade and is hands down the best cold weather duck hunting jacket there is. Paired with a Delta Wading Jacket and you are all set. I also pair a Hudson with an Aerolite. The new duck oven LT for when it’s not as cold is just as good.

Best jacket
I bought this jacket in store and i worried it would be too puffy but i still bought it, I've had it over 6 months and it is definitely the warmest jacket I have and it fits really good even though I’m a big guy. I do sometimes wish it had a hoodie but I can layer it with a Carhartt hoodie and I wish it was more water proof but with Sitka you can always spend more money and layer. so overall I give it a 10/10 and I’d say all the Sitka gear is worth the money.

Good coat, great range of motion. Can shoot well with this coat and does not add enough bulk to force you to use a smaller stock to still get a proper gun fit. If you are a walk in hunter it does pick a little easy on briars for a duck coat in my opinion. Warm and comfy.

Best Duck Hunting Jacket Out There
This is one of the best pieces of Sitka I own. I have the reputation of getting cold easily, but not with this jacket. I was midwest waterfowling in 30 degrees and 20+ MPH winds in a brushed-in A-Frame, and I was comfortable the whole morning. I layered with a merino 120 and a quarter zip. It is best worn under your waders. In the evening, I picked up decoys in 20MPH+ gusts and freezing rain/wet snow and stayed dry —just got a little wet at my wrists—zero buyer's remorse. I never write reviews if that says anything.

Amazingly warm
Never was there a better name for an article of clothing than this jacket. I typically wear this late season under a Delta wading jacket or Hudson jacket when the temps are in the 20s or below with winds blowing 15+ mph. I’m 6’ and 210 and the XL is perfect for layering without binding in the arms when hunting.

Casual to Field this is the last jacket you need
This jacket has to be the hands down the best outer layer that I have ever worn from Sitka. I have probably 10 tops from Sitka whether its for deer hunting or waterfowl this is my go to when the temps drop. I also have the Duck Oven LT when the temps aren't as cold, but come December in Iowa this is my go to outer layer/insulation combo.

This jacket is awesome, i use this as my insulating outer layer for my mountain and tree stand hunts. little loud for bow hunting but you can get by or throw a quiet layer over if needed. not the most packable or lightest jacket but kept me warm while glassing in 25mph winds at 10k ft in 20-30° weather. so far a really awesome jacket. sleeves are a little tight when layered but manageable. that being said i have never had a jacket keep me so comfortably warm during cold and wind.

Zipper issue with Duck Oven jacket
Zipper failed after being worn twice duck hunting . . would not engage so it couldn’t be zipped up . . made the jacket worthless to me . . put it in closet and finished season with other apparel. Remembered that I had not gotten it repaired . . and this jacket had been purchased from Roger’s Sporting Goods as a gift . . finally figured out how to go thru the return process . . it was delightfully simple and easy . . even for an old man . . Recieved notice when Sitka received it . . got notice when it was return shipped and tracking . . they didn’t replace the zipper, they sent a new jacket !! WOW ! Didn’t expect that . . anyway, VERY pleased !! But, as a side note, the zipper that comes with this jacket is pretty much a joke ! For a $350 jacket, put a substantial zipper in them, please ! Otherwise, great jacket .

The perfect coat for field hunts.
Love this jacket! Form Saskatchewan to Arkansas this little coat has kept me warm in some pretty miserable conditions. Defiantly not waterproof in a downpour but a little mist or drizzle won’t make you miserable. Perfect coat for field hunts and layering.
