As just a straight hoody its ok. A bit large, usually wear XL in sitka and generally more fitted. My 2 cons are the DWR finish and button placement. Light rain seemed to penetrate quickly and buttons don't allow you to cinch up the hood nice and close. I have other sitka gear, and they shed light rain way better. If you can find sitka's MLX hoody that's the one I recommend.

Love it! Replaced the Dakota Hoodie As my fav
I just got this last week. I have hunted with it on every duck hunt. Today, I hunted in this snowstorm- Fern, and for most of the day it was the only outer-garment I had on!!I have no idea how they made something so light which is so warm! Plus, the DWR coating kept me dry and it snowed for six of the hours I hunted. For years the Dakota hoodie has been my favorite piece of waterfowl gear. No more- this one is number one now!

Very disappointed
I expected a lot more out of this hoodie. Every time I wear it underneath my waders or bibs the shoulders start pilling. Another thing I noticed is the seams have started to come undone after only a month of wearing it casually. Overall I would not recommend spending this much money on a hoodie that doesn’t hold up when hunting.

Sitka… simply the best.
When I first tried on this sweatshirt, I felt a slight tinkle. It was the feeling of being 16 again. I was trapped with warmth and confidence, I was ready to take on the world. Comfortable and Warm!
I picked up the new Durango Hoodie and wore it out on a cold morning on the water fishing. It is the most comfortable hoodie I’ve ever worn. I like the Durango hoodie. I like the zippered kangaroo pouch. The cuffs are tight around the wrist, which I like. The material is comfortable. I like the fact that it has snaps instead of strings with the hood. It’s not a thick sweatshirt, but it’s not light. It’s kind of medium light, which is great for every day wear, which is what I bought it for. I will probably buy another one in another color.

Extreme Comfort
Love this hoodie. The interior material is extremely comfortable, soft and warm, and the exterior fabric sheds light precipitation on cool rainy days. The button snaps provide just enough heat disbursement or retention though a deep half zip like on the alpha fleece hoodie would be better. It is just slightly oversized compared to Sitka’s cotton icon hoodies and alpha fleece hoodies but not enough to size down. I have the black; would like to get the coyote color and would like to see these in some of the Optifade camo patterns (waterfowl!) as well.

The exterior material of the hoodie is very soft. The fleece on the inside is not very thick. It’s more of a thin layer of fleece. The hoodie does run a little big width wise. I purchased a large and it’s a little big in the shoulders. I think overall it’s a great product. A little on the pricey side for what you get, but still a good purchase.

I just took this on a hike to Rocky Mountain national Park. I used to to climb up Mount Chiquita and Mount Ypsilon. Weather was 35 with on and off light precip and wind. This hoodie was spot on perfect with a t shirt underneath all day for high output activity and breathes like a champ. I didn’t overheat and the DWR worked wonderfully well. Immediately bought a second. Instantly became a favorite piece of gear. I’m 5’8” and about 175 lbs and a medium fits nice with some room to wear layers underneath. I could size down to a small for a more “athletic” fit I guess.
