Equinox Guard Hoodie Reviews

Perfect Sc swamp shirt

This is the perfect warm weather whitetail shirt. In early season here in SC you need something that can take the heat. The pattern is perfect for when the hardwood trees are still leafy with some pines mixed in. I hunt this shirt on all day velvet hunts in early season and it doesn’t smell at the end of a long hunt. It is perfect for bow hunting with the thumb hole I can still get my release on. The built in face cover is perfect when a face mask or veil is just too much. The hood keeps the mosquitoes and sun off of your neck. I like the fit, not too restrictive and not loose. I have an “athletic” build with pretty long arms and the xl fits perfectly. No pulling tight when drawing my bow and no draping when I am in the saddle or stand. I wear this as long as the temp allows. Once the temp drops I will layer on top so as the temp rises I can remove a layer and still have the sun and bug protection.

Absolutely love, great design and fit.

I haven’t made it into

I haven’t made it into the stand yet but exactly what I was looking for during early bow and warmer weather while being long sleeve to protect against ticks. Love the pattern

Equinox guard hoodie

Love the shirt. Only thing it’s missing is the chest pocket. Other than that it’s great.

Keeps the mosquitoes away.

Works great

Excellent lightweight hoodie, worked great in Montana with temps getting into the mid 70s

Best Gear I Own

Every detail is done with perfection. This colorway is perfect for whitetail in Texas. There’s already a learning curve having moved here from Utah. Sitka has helped even the odds.

Bulletproof bug protection.

Give yourself the peace of mind that the bugs can’t get to you. Focus on the task at hand as opposed to swinging your hand at flies. This lightweight high-quality bug armor is the perfect early season, hot weather protection to keep you concealed and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Equinox guard hoodie

It’s a great product, but being a woman, it only came in men’s sizes so it’s huge on me. That’s my only issue. My husbands fit just fine.

Guard hoodie

Keeps the mosquito at bay! Perfect for early season hunts!

Light and comfortable

This is a great hoodie Light and very movable for drawing bow back. Built in mask as well love this hoodie

Hoodie

Works great for insect repellent

Guard hoodie

Alabama misquitoe proof

Delicate

The shirt is good as far as fit and comfort . I’d probably grab a size up than your normal. I got it as an early season layer but after some light scouting it’s already showing some snags. I feel like I could easily grab it and rip it apart with my hands. I wish they made this exact hoodie with the face mask but with a more durable material.

Equinox Guard Hoodie

Very soft and comfortable. I

Very soft and comfortable. I recommend to purchase.

Love them!

It didn’t repel not one

It didn’t repel not one single mosquito.

Great early season gear.

Bought the solid olive green Equinox guard hoodie for early season blind hunting. Great pickup; the temperature for my hunt was 93 degrees. Kept me comfortable enough for a four hour afternoon/evening sit that resulted in a successful buck harvest.

Amazing

love the sitka camouflage, the clothing quality and lightness, and breath ability these products have.

Years of Abuse, Great Product

I’ve hunted all over the country in this hoodie, from chasing bear through the mountains in August, to September elk in Oregon, to spring turkey in Oklahoma. I have absolutely put this thing through the wringer. Blackberries, heavy brush, long days in the field, you name it. The durability has been incredible. I probably have over 200 days in this shirt at this point. There are a few small holes here and there, but considering what I’ve put it through, it’s honestly a miracle that’s all the damage it has. I own a lot of Sitka gear. I love most of it, and there are definitely a few pieces I could live without. This is without a doubt on my must-have list. Especially after spending more time hunting in the Midwest and South, the bug protection is not optional, and it’s definitely not a gimmick. It works incredibly well against ticks, chiggers, and mosquitoes. After two years of putting this hoodie through hell and back, the bug protection still performs just as well as it did on day one. From fly fishing Yellowstone to working dogs on a pond in the South, this hoodie comes with me on just about every trip. Highly Recommend.

Equinox Guard Hoodie

I have a couple of these for early archery and turkey season. Solid option for warmer temps.

I wore the hoodie in

I wore the hoodie in 102 degree Texas heat and I was surprised how cool it kept me!

Lite weight

Works as advertised. Dove hunted allday in 85 degree weather and stay cool.

No more mosquitoes

Real similar fit to my other lightweight hoodie, but without all the bites on your shoulders

Love the built in face/ head cover.

Excited to have this for bear hunting in Northern WI. It is still fairly warm climate and heavy mosquitoes. This should help protect me from the bugs and keep them off my head

Guard hoodie

Worth every penny if you have ticks and mosquitoes. I usually wear an extra large and this runs big which is fine because I will probably wear it as an outer layer until after frost.

Perfect fit

Best piece of gear I own

The woven in bug repellent absolutely works. Here in northern Minnesota this is key. Easily the best piece of gear I’ve owned in recent memory.

Amazing

Very light for early season. Perfect for Bow in KY

Best hoodie

I have this shirt in several colors, I wear it hunting fishing and every other thing I do. It’s a must have in my life.

Loveeee ittt!

Very comfortable and cute!

Perfect early season camo

This shirt is perfect for early season. Thin and breathable, but protects against mosquitoes. I'm 5'8 165 athletic and I ordered a small and fits amazing! My new favorite, I get the hype now!

Great summer shirt

Feels great, lightweight for warm weather.

Saved me in Labrador.

This shirt is legit. While my travel partners got chewed by literally the worst bugs I’ve ever experienced I survived. My one buddy got so bitten up he got sick. I got a few… that’s it. It works and do much better than a bug net. You can actually see to wade and cast.

Amazing gear would highly recommend.

Amazing gear would highly recommend. Comfortable breathable

Equinox Guard

This is the second set of the equinox guard I have purchased and as always I'm pleased with the performance, comfort, and insect protection this system provides. The first hoodie I purchased was a large in subalpine and it fit bigger than expected, so I ordered the medium in the cover and it fits perfectly.

Love this shirt. Very comfortable

Love this shirt. Very comfortable but it does run a bit big.

Equinox Guard Hoodie keeps The Bugs OUT

great fit keeps you cool and worry free about the insects i have 3 so i rotate in warm weather

feels great!

Bow season hasn’t started yet so haven’t put it to the test yet. In the south, breathable and insect repellent sounds amazing

Very delicate

If you plan on using this shirt for anything don’t. One shooting session to zero a rifle and I saw a bunch of loose threads and snags on the torso area. Sitka will also call this “wear and tear” and leave you to dry unless you want to buy a new shirt.

Equinox Hoodie

Lightweight, thin, breathable and very comfortable. Can act as a sun shirt for summer fishing or an early season hunting hoodie. The hood has a mesh face covering that will come in handy for hot summer days when bugs are everywhere.

Equinox Guard Hoodie

So far ok. Definitely works good with the bugs. Great warm weather piece. Like some things I have had issues with Sitka the sleeves are way too long and baggie.

Equinox hoodie

Awesome hoodie, must have for early season
