Good quality piece, great for early season deer or turkey. It does fit very long. Knowing what I know now I would’ve gotten a L instead of an XL.

I own 6 of these! It’s a must have for hot weather hunting in the Deep South!

I hunt year round in middle Georgia. I own 6 of the equinox guard hoodies with equinox guard pants in 3 different camo patterns. These are a must have for areas thick with mosquitos and ticks. I have never had a tick or excessive bug bites after 3 seasons of use thanks to the treatment on the material. I wear a 46R jacket and am somewhat fit, but I do not recommend ordering an extra large for two reasons: 1) the material is very elastic, and 2) the hoodie and mask on the XL is too baggy for keeping the mask against your face. It is pretty worthless if the top of the mask simply says around your chin. It breathes reasonably well but again I’m hunting the swampy areas of middle Georgia. You cannot go wrong with this hoodie.

Works as advertised

Wore it in the field on some hot and buggy days for work. Kept me cool, dry quickly, and repels bugs

Loose fit, repels skeeters

Wore it up north Minnesota for a week, kept the skeeters off while on the lake. Loose enough fit to put over a heavier sweatshirt for cool nights. Skeeters land on it, but don't bite. Very pleased. Coupled with the pants, this is a great set. I'm 6'3 and 230#.

Keeps the bugs away

I have 4 guard hoodies and wear them all summer long to keep mosquitoes and biting flys from biting me. An added bonus is the sun protection they provide. Very happy with it.

Love the Hoodie but one small problem

Grandson loves it but one question as I was taking out of washing machine I notice it is sewn wrong on the arm hole. It was caught wrong by the sewing machine but I didn’t know since i have washed it if i could return it. Thanks for any help. I will say it again grandson loves it!!!

This hoodie is lightweight and perfect to keep the bugs off you during early season. This is my go to for September Teal season in Texas!

Lightweight and Comfortable

This hoodie is perfect for hot, muggy, buggy environments like many parts of the southeast states of the US. The material not only feels great, but it also prevents any bug bites. When I have wore this out in the field, the moisture-wicking properties, the odor wicking material, and the breathableness of the hoodie allowed me to perform in the heat without being set back.

Perfect for so much

Spent a couple weeks in Alaska this summer and the mosquitos didn’t bother me a bit. Light, breathable, and did the job without issue. I’d ordered one for Turkey and deer season already, but wanted to try the hoodie in a different application. A+

I’m 5’9” 195lbs and bought two of these in size large. Recently wore these on a trout fishing trip and absolutely loved them. Fit and feel is great. Will be buying more for bow & teal season.

Bug proof hoodie!

I love my hoodie, the light grey color works great for everyday wear, the optifade for turkey hinting as well as all other species and the black for blind use! It’s excellent for bug repellent!

The Equinox does keep ticks

Very happy. Always wanted to try this product. Had the opportunity to finally purchase. Would buy more. It's nice not to have to douse myself in spray. Deer and black flies went into attack mode. Put my hood on. Wore the face guard. Very pleasant time in the summer woods and stream.

Work very good

I love this hoodie, it's very comfortable and we were on a bear hunt in New Brunswick, Canada and here there are a lot of mosquitoes and it worked very well for the mosquitoes.

Equinox guard hoodie review

This product is excellent ! I just spent 3 evenings hunting bear in the bug infested bush of northern Quebec. Not one black fly or mosquito has penetrated the hoodie. I highly recommend this product !

It works!

Living in Alabama, misquitos are a problem nearly year round. Even though I bought this after the deer season has gone out, I was able to try it while shooting my bow in the spring. It flat out works! I had this hoodie on and shorts. My arms and body didn’t have a single bite on them while my legs were getting eaten alive! I can’t wait to try this out for early season in Alabama, as well as using this as my primary next to skin layer for most of the season.

I wear this one from spring and all summer long! I wore mine so much, I had to order a second one, plus the Insect Shield my wife liked wearing mine a little too much.

Great Mosquito protection

I got this for spring bear in Ontario and love it. Mosquitoes stayed away from everywhere that was covered. 5’9 205 lbs.

Lucky shirt

This shirt is super cool. Bugs don't bug me at all with this thing on. It keeps the sun off me at high altitude and keeps me cool. It's second place to my 120 merino, but limited out on fish each time I wear it. Very soft synthetic feel.

Impressive

I farm and during the growing season many hours can be spent fixing pivots. I was looking for a light long sleeve layer that would provide protection from the sun while being cool in hot, humid conditions. This hoodie meets those expectations, but it exceeds my expectations on how it reduces mosquito bites. I was cautiously optimistic about the claims but was very impressed, the hoodie has become an everyday layer for me and will be buying another solid colour. I wear them with the equinox guard pants. Light, cool, comfortable, breathable.

Great Piece

I bought this for riding ATV’s and dirt bikes in the spring. It has been a perfect addition. Exactly what I was looking for.

Love it. Bought a second

Love it. Bought a second set of the pant and top, just so I can alternate this year on an early season hunting trip. I wore them last year and had no tick or chiggers on me. Only one mosquito bite. I’m 5’11” 210lbs and large fits great.

Absolutely love this hoodie. It has become one of my favorite pieces of gear for spring turkey. Fits true to size and helps keep you cool on warm spring hunts.

Should have bought sooner

This is the first review I have ever written but felt I needed to. I bought the Equinox hoody and pants last week and all I can say is “wow!” I live in East Texas and love to hog hunt. I normally have to stop around the first of May because the mosquitoes just get too bad. I’m surrounded by them right now but they aren’t biting me. I don’t know what sort of magic is built into these clothes but whatever it is, it works.

Love this thing, just one gripe.

Absolutely amazing product, but one season of constant wear and it already has some loose threads. I only wash my Sitka clothing when it really gets sweat in and I only hang dry them. Was hoping to get 2-3 seasons out of it before I started to see wear on it. Other wise super comfortable and the mask in the hood and no bite through technology is a god send. Really not a bad price for a piece of Sitka gear that services this good of a purpose

These things really work

Super lightweight and can fit under/over about anything. And it legit keeps the ticks and mosquitos off! Sat in a swamp during turkey season and everyone else got ate alive by the bugs, I was very comfy.

My new favorite lightweight scouting hoodie

The material is different than the lightweight hoodies that I run in a good way. Super smooth on the inside and comfortable to wear in the heat all day long. I wear a large in the lightweight hoodies and based upon a couple reviews I saw of sizing down I got the medium and it fits great. I only had a tick on my pants so I am going to say it did its job.

Turkey season must have

Best shirt for turkey hunting. The built in mask and super light weight make this a must have for chasing gobblers.
