Equinox Guard Hoodie Reviews

Must have

Great product, absolutely comfortable. As an outfitter, I have to rely on high quality gear, this one of many Sitka products in my travel set.

Sitka core lightweight hoody

I like the hoody but the XL is way to big. Doesn’t seem to be the standard sizing compared to other products I buy from Sitka. Still a great mid layer just really big.

Great extra piece

I would add this if you are interested in moving a lot. It is very breathable and light weight. I have used this piece quite a bit for scouting in the early season. I would typically wear a large, I did buy an Xl in this. It is slightly big, but I can tuck it in.

Equinox Guard Hoody

Love this piece. Super lightweight yet durable. The facemask inside is useful but not too bulky that it gets in the way. The fact that it has the insect repellent is also a huge bonus

Equinox Guard

Thin material but works great on warm humid hunts here in the South! No mosquitos on my bow hunt!

awesome gear

fit, style and price great gear love Sitka

Happy w/ Purchase

Quality as expected, like the hood, like the pockets, more Sitka purchase in the future.

Great hoody, seems to work

Great hoody, seems to work as advertised

Perfect for dove and early season white tail

The mosquitos in Oklahoma this year were terrible in early October. This hoody allowed me to sit comfortably in an uncomfortable environment.

Fit is way off

I’ve been a huge supporter of Sitka for years, the quality and athletic fit of was always top notch. This hoodie I can’t even wear. The fit is so far off it looks like I stole it out of my dad’s closet. New pair of mountain pants was exactly the same. Your sizing changed please change it back

Good quality and fit.

This is my go to for running around doing daily activities. Love it

Received during winter months so

Received during winter months so havnt had a chance to try out the inspect repellant too much, but the fit is spot on. As always, Sitka’s attention to detail is top notch. Face mask is great. I see myself wearing the from spring turkey all the way through late deer season here in the south. Ticks, chiggers, and mosquitos are real battles here, so look forward to seeing how they do preventing mosquito bits, if that proves to as good as advertised this thing should get 7 star!

Equinox guard hoody

Like the pants, great. Bought 2 more. Hood and face mask integration is perfect. Good for warm or cool weather

Equinox Guard Hoody

I purchased this hoody to help endure the relentless mosquitoes during the early bear hunters season in Wisconsin. It worked great. This is going to get a lot of use turkey hunting and trout fishing as well.

Best Hoodie Around

Sitka nocks it out of the part with all of there gear but this Hoodie is next level. Extremely versatile extremely warm. The build in face shield gives you that added layer of perfect protection! Turns true to size

My go to early season hunting top

This hoodie is legit. It is extra stretchy so you can layer over warmer gear as the season goes on. The face mask and hood are great at keeping bugs at bay and scent under control. It is ultra quiet too making it perfect for bow hunting. It has become one of my favorite early season items.

I live in Pennsylvania and

I live in Pennsylvania and since buying this hoody I haven’t had a single tick on season long I’m truly impressed with how well it works. It’s very light weight which I didn’t initially expect but it will be a great outer layer in spring turkey season or early September elk hunts. Works good on mosquitoes too.

Very nice

This is a very nice base layer or standalone shirt for early whitetail season. I really like it.

Everything was as advertised. Really

Everything was as advertised. Really pleased with this product.

Equinox Guard Hoody

This is my second sitka hoody. It is extremely versatile, good for hot and cold weather because of the lightweight hood and face cover. It's like they are not there until you need them. They provide excellent camoflage and insect protection, too. I wear it on every hunt.

Very comfortable! I wore this

Very comfortable! I wore this bow hunting in Kansas as a base layer during the warm days 2nd and 3rd week of November 2023. Super Nice to remove layering and have this hoodie on during the long walk outs from the stand! I need an extra for hanging stands. Also great just for fishing or everyday activities.

Great Products, Fits Perfect

This is the most comfortable top that I have ever owned, it fits perfect and is a pleasure to wear.

Not bad product just nothing

Not bad product just nothing really stands out about it for the price.

Hoody

This is a great early season hoody. You will want to get a size smaller than normal. Great fit and deal. I will own several colors.

Awesome

Got this for hunting on the Texas coast. Wearing alone during teal and early season it is great. When it’s colder I use it as base layer. Hoodie and face mask is awesome too. It was mosquito proof until washed a couple times. Super thin and lightweight, basically a performance fishing shirt with extras.

Fantastic

Amazing piece, everything about it was amazing from the feel to breathability, even the hood fit nice around my head

East Texas Approved!

I needed a very light, long sleeved, hoody that gave me a barrier to mosquitoes. This has served me well from October to December in East Texas. The hood and face mask are a blessing for when those little buggers try to get your ears. So far, no additional bug repellents or devices needed.

Incredible fit and feel

This hoody is amazing and just what I needed in a little cooler temperatures. I can’t express my thankfulness for Sitka’s camo and gear. It’s my go to! Pick up this item today and you’ll love it. Wear it hunting or around the house and out and about.

Great Coverup

I have three of these hoodies: two regular and one with Insect Shield. I use them to add the kind of camo I need. Some blinds work best with black outerwear whereas treestands require real camo. I buy them a size larger than I would normally wear so I can slip them on over a light jacket. They're stretchy so this works quite well. Love the built-in face mask.

Great for early season Duck or spring Turkey hunting

Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hooded early season piece. In the southern region of the country it’s necessary to have bug control. Mosquitos were flying around me all day, but I didn’t have a single bit on me while wearing this piece. It was cool and light weight, exactly what I was looking for.

Great product

It is great

Fantastic hoody that does a great job keeping the bugs at bay!

Equinox guard hoody

Great piece of gear for warm weather hunts the face mask is great as well.

Guard Hoody for Early September Teal Hunting

Here in Louisiana during Early Teal hunting in September the mosquitoes can be quite unbearable and as well throughout some of the hunting season while the weather pattern is unpredictable as well with warm weather. This year buying the Equinox Gaurd hoody was a must and the mosquitoes barely got to me and so I recommended and bought some for my family and friends and everyone is in love. This little piece of gear can make a hunt so much better and so it has so far this year. Thank you Sitka.

Keeps Skeeters Out

Keeps skeeters out. Super lightweight. Runs a little big. Fantastic piece.

Very lightweight and comfortable to

Very lightweight and comfortable to use in warm temperatures

Great warm weather shirt.

Great fit and feel. I wear if all spring and summer when I get out in the woods to scout or just enjoy nature.

Very good multi-season piece

Great hoodie for dove, early teal, and early archery. . . as well as turkey. For a piece made to be used during high density foliage seasons, it doesn't handle damage from thorns/briars as well as I would hope, but there's only so much durability you can expect from such a lightweight piece. Seems to do its job when it comes to bugs, and is extremely comfortable.

This hoody does a great

This hoody does a great job at keeping you protected from bugs, the only downside is durability, I had to track down a deer I shot in the thicket not realizing I should have took this hoodie off first, well now its full of holes. Its great protection from bugs but is not durable for the price point, I mean this hoodie cost $150.

Great for hunting in the salt marshes

Runs really big wear a XL in all sitka tops had to return for a L wish is still a little big. Wear in the salt marshes hunting Sika deer works well to keep the skeeters from biting through. Use to wear the core light weight and would get eat up in the shoulders. Not with this.

Great early season hoody

This is not only a great early season hoody, but a great base layer for the whole season as well. It does keep bugs off you. The thumb loops don't dig in when used as a base layer. It does everything advertised and more. Moisture wicking is amazing. It doesn't block wind or water, but it is not meant to. For a budget this is a must get. It has replaced a few of my other tops.

Early Season Must!

This is an absolute must during early season whitetail. It covers you completely but isnt heavy enough to make you hot. Ive worn it as a standalone and watched mosquitos land on my arms only to immediately fly away. Ive also worn it as a very light base layer during the first few cool mornings and its been great.

Early Season Winner

Doing some early season bow hunting in Central KS this week and it is hot and buggy. With a previous warm weather hoody, I was getting bit through the hood on my head - if I had hair, it wouldn’t be fair. Zero bites on my bald during a sit near a wet low area where lots of biting bugs were present. Didn’t sweat either and it was 85 degrees. Awesome hoody. Great product as usual, Sitka. 5’8” 180 - large
