Equinox Turkey Vest
I was very happy with the vest. For someone that carried everything into the turkey woods I thought it wasn’t big enough. The vest helped me scale back the things I carry into the woods. When I finally understood this is a minimalists vest I was carrying only the essentials. Every pocket, every strap, and every detail was well thought out. People complain about the seat and its deployment, but we haven’t had any issues with long sits even though this is a ‘run & gun’ vest. It folds up and down without any issue. I have zero knocks on the vest other than I wish I would’ve bought one sooner.

Great vest, except. . .
This is a well made vest, has enough room to pack the essentials and I especially like the fact that they actually made a place to carry your box call that not only protects your call from moisture it effectively prevents those annoying "chirps" from the box call moving or getting knocked about while stored. I unfortunately have to say though that the seat is absolutely inadequate for anything but a short (1/2 hour) sit. After that it is extremely worthless. I like the easy deployment system but come on, it would work with a much thicker pad. I actually feel the way the seat is designed that it actually gets less comfortable the more it compresses because of the texture. I ended up carrying an extra seat to make longer sits bearable. Only the overall quality of the vest saved it from a three star rating.

Almost Perfect 4 Star
So Its an almost well designed Vest. I bought three! One for myself and one for wach of my two kids. I love that the vest is adjustable from small (my 10 year old to me Large. The seat is great and it is comfortable . So why the three stars? Simply!! the call holders suck big time! 1: the box call sleeve: my box call squeaks as I move. It needs to fit tighter or the handle of the box needs to protrude through the cover so it doesn’t move against the box. Big issue while teying to sneak up on birds !! 2: Needs a stronger magnet for the pot call pouch and it needs to be bigger. The magnetic grip isnt strong enough to hold the pocket closed. While carrying decoys I lost two pots on two separate hunts !! I go Turkey hunting 10-12 times in the month of May. The Pot call holders should have separate mesh holders w a zipper or overlapping lip so they cant fall out of the pouch. Better magnets please!!! This pot pouch should be able to hold two pots easily. Fix these issues.

I've had the vest for a few years.
I've had the vest for a few years. Wanted to actually get plenty of use before giving a review. The vest works in many ways and I give high praise. However, one area is lacking and needs to be reworked. The way you carry a turkey out of the woods is not useful at all. First you must secure the turkey legs and then attach the sling to the front of the vest. Next you pull on the vest with turkey on the front of the vest. Then, you must place the turkey over your shoulder. Why not just carry the turkey out over the woods without a strap or design a pouch big enough for the bird

Great vest !!
My only reason for the 4 stars is the magnetic closure on the pot call pocket ! When crawling to close the gap the pocket gathers dirt and grass! The magnetic closure fails to remain closed at times which could allow mouth calls, chalk for box calls or friction conditioning paper to drop out. I feel this pocket needs improvement. Great lightweight vest other than this! Great adjustability for size.

Best wearing turkey vest I've ever experienced.
Not an incentivized review. . . This vest is hands down THE best turkey vest overall I have ever put on. I am amazed at the amount of thought that had to go into this product. I love the adjustable fit, it makes it snug enough that it doesn't flop around and get in the way, but not so snug that it is uncomfortable. There seems to be a pocket for everything. The weight of the seat is a little heavier than some, and it did seem to cause my back to hurt a little by the end of the day. However, that could just be because I'm getting older than I'd like to admit and possibly the fact that I fall. Often. Great job Sitka! Now I'd love to see your line of women's hunting clothing and gear expand!!!
