Cannot use binos with this. Modifications have to be made or pull both extra pockets off the Sitka bino harness. Believe this could’ve been more well thought out now that I own one. I own a lot of Sitka and this one kinda disappointed me for that reason.

This thing is awesome!! I used to use a Knight and Hale run and gun 300.. It was a decent vest..but it’s really not built to hunt out west, sort of clunky pockets and pouches in weird places and hard to access… very uncomfortable when you add a shotgun and decoy bag with two full size decoys.. and the bag on the back is laughable… literally keys, tags maybe a sandwich… that’s it… full… layers you shed had to be tied on the back..more than once they were waded up in the bottom of the decoy bag because they kept coming loose from the pack… fine for when you’re going to be back to the truck in an hour or two.. just not my style of hunting. Stepped into the big leagues with the Equinox vest… A it literally holds all my hunting stuff perfectly secure and compartmentalized… B the pack on the vest holds plenty of water, has room for my stove, lunch and shed layers… C. VERY comfortable with the decoy bag on my back and shotgun.. no digging into your shoulder, straps getting all hung up on call pouches and such… just buy the damn vest… if you’re out ALL day chasing birds and won’t be back to the truck until night it won’t let you down… Plus it looks great with turkey blood on it!

The Turkey Vest, it’s not a new piece of gear. It’s been reinvented and reworked many times. The fit and finish is amazing. It’s a more rigid vest, doesn’t feel “floppy” or saggy. The zippered pockets on the inside are so nice! I didn’t actually realize how much I like this vest until I was pulling my decoy mid morning. I had my chair, my tripod strapped to the back of my vest. Grabbed my bow and decoy and realized how well thought out this piece of equipment is. 10 out of 10 would recommend

It just works! The pockets for your calls are perfect, the seat is comfortable, it fits nice instead of being bulky and oversized, you have the ability to change the size by adjusting the straps from small to XL and having the pouch in the back for your harvest makes it about as perfect as you can have. It's pricey but I am pleased with it. Again, it just works.

I’ve always ran a traditional turkey vest with big padded foam seats and a million pockets with gear to outfit three more hunters. What you don’t realize with those big vests is (until you try this one) is how much you’ve been bogged down. I hunt four or five states per season, put on many miles, have shot numerous slams and spend an entire month chasing birds every year. As turkey hunters, we do a lot of walking typically and standard vests get a little bulky. They can wear on you after a while without even knowing. They can be a hidden source of fatigue, especially later in the morning. Sitka slammed it out of the park with this vest. It’s got the perfect amount of magnetic pockets for everything right where you need them. The back pouch is just big enough to stow some lightweight insulation or water bladder. It is super light, very comfortable, and you barely realize you’re wearing it. Yet at the same time it’s outfitted with enough storage for everything you need in strategic locations. The seat is quite comfortable, but leaves a little bit to be desired. It’s not as thick as the seats you were used to but still plenty comfy on longer sits. I would highly recommend ditching your old vest and getting this one. You will realize quickly how much unnecessary crap you brought in the woods that you never needed. This will make your turkey hunt a lot more enjoyable, especially if you’re doing a lot of walking. It’s worth checking out for sure.

It needs a place for water bottle and the seat needs to be more robust. The padding is sub standard but on a positive note it deploys and stores better than any seat I’ve ever had. I’ve had several vest and it’s definitely well thought out but most turkey hunters are not going to use a water bladder. Easy access water bottle holder on the side would be ideal. Actually worked a bird over 4 hours yesterday - which is the purpose for my critique on the seat.

I love the vest and how it’s laid out and the storage reason for one star is the seat. Not an all day sit kind of pad not even an hour sit pad it is very hard and dense and provides no cushion what so ever. Would rather sit on the ground than the pad and most of the time I find myself doing that just to be more comfortable.

So let me get this out of the way real quick: I read a review that included a gripe with the butt-pad being too thin and the guy’s butt going numb… That guy wears an ascot onto his private lease, which is located in the burbs.. and politely requests to borrow some Grey Poupon from the neighbors! I also read a couple reviews stating that the fasteners were subpar and one guy whined about how they came undone when he bends over….. I’m thinking this guy bends over way too far & often, and he generally hates his life. It is what it is.. The vest is absolutely stunning; not only in visual appeal, but especially in quality & functionality. Seriously… I dare you to try to find something better on the market. My own assessment is simple; this vest has it all. Period. Fit: The adjustability is phenomenal and will probably fit anyone over the age of 10. Functionality: It’s perfect. The design is immaculately thought out. Everything is located precisely where it should be. Comfort: Again, perfect. It’s super lightweight, snugs beautifully, and doesn’t move or shift unless you make it happen intentionally. Quality: If you have ever owned any piece of Sitka Gear before, you already know.
