Overall great layer for hunting. Sitka sizes have always run small so order the next size up.

So when I ordered it they only had xlt and I thought it would be ok, I was wrong I’m 6’1 210 and this hoody comes down to my mid thigh and the sleeves are really long I wish I would’ve gotten the xl. As far as the quality it’s top notch I use it as a mid layer with my stratus jacket and bib overalls and I’m fine all day.

By far my favorite Sitka piece. Own 3 of them. The Swiss army knife of hunting gear. Wear this piece every hunt.

Excellent piece

This hoody checks all the boxes. If you’re not sure where to start with your mid layers, this is it. I use this piece more than anything else. The built in face mask is my favorite feature for bow season. I plan to get more in different colors. Just order your t shirt size and you’re good to go.

Best Layering Piece

6’2”, 190lbs and athletic build. I was able to wear a large and be extremely comfortable. Quality and versatility is unparalleled.

I can’t say enough good things about this hoodie. I wear this and a core lightweight long sleeve under it and I’m comfortable to 35ish degrees depending on the wind. I can also travel to and from my stand without getting overheated as well. Fit is great and the glomits are my favorite feature.

Fanatic Hoodie XLT

I purchased the fanatic hoodie not knowing what to expect. I had never worn Sitka Gear. I am 6’3 and 250lbs. Apart from my late 40’s belly , I’m pretty athletically built. I am normally between an xl and 2x to get the length I need in the arms and torso. This hoodie fits me perfectly in the xltall. I have plenty of room to spare as it has a more relaxed feel to it. I love the integrated hand covers and am especially impressed with the built in face cover. I live in north Louisiana where we may get a day or 2 in the 30’s then back to 60s and 70s for a week. I wore this hoodie over a heavy base layer with the ambient jacket on a 40 degree morning with 10-20mph winds and never got cold. I appreciate the freedom of movement and warmth without bulkiness that Sitka seems to be masterful at. This hoodie is perfect for early season hunts and mid season hunts with a light jacket. Overall I absolutely love the fanatic hoodie and would buy another in the future.

Fanatic hoody, son loves it

Great to go over your base layer. Perfect for bow hunting as the sleeves are tight. Thankfully the arms are plenty long to accommodate the tight fit. If tight fit isn’t what you’re after, the traverse is an awesome hoody as well. I retire the fanatic after bow season as I prefer a little less restriction. Both have their place and purpose.

Not my favorite

Most things Sitka I’m a big fan of but the Fanatic hoody misses the mark slightly. I love the hood with built in face mask but the mittens and sleeve setup drive me a bit crazy. When you aren’t using the mittens the sleeves are obviously long and bunch up, when in use they seem great but are more cumbersome than anything. It covers most of your hand so unless you’ve practiced shooting your bow like that it’s changing everything. Overall great piece, good weight but the mittens made me switch to the heavyweight hoody. No build in facemask but it zips high and has basic thumb loops.

Fanatic Hoody

I bought the phonetic hoodie to wear for deer hunting, but I find I wear it all the time. It’s a perfect layer, all by itself when temperatures are a little warmer, and it increases your warmth when things start to cool down.

The almost perfect hoody

I now have 3 Fanatic Hoody. My favorable piece of gear. Very comfortable and fit great. All the design features are right on with one exception, the chest pocket could larger for my phone.

The multi-tool top

This top is a staple of every stage of the season. From those early season hunts keeping the chills off walking out in the dark, to layering under a vest or outer jacket. This hoodie knocks it out of the park. As always, the slim and quiet design makes for great packability and noise. While the cozy feel kills those late nice chills walking out of the woods.

This hoody is great. Once

This hoody is great. Once the temps get down in the 60’s I’ll wear it every hunt. As an outer hoody into the 50’s, then under my stratus jacket down to the low 30’s. The hood fits very well not restricting your vision. Great piece that I would definitely buy again.

This was my first Sitka purchase. I couldn't be happier other than the fact, since then I am over $1000 less in my bank account. Transitioning from First Lite to Sitka after experiencing the difference.
