The main reason I held

The main reason I held off so long is that I couldn't try any of this stuff on locally. I'm 6' 0' and 300lbs which didn't seem to line up with any other reviews. I had tried on the Stratus jacket in a 2XL and it fit, but wasn't something I'd layer. I wanted that ability with this jacket and the 3XL works great. Still not interfering with the bow at all, and enough room to layer if needed. Although, this seems very warm with just a t-shirt so far. In almost every other ag/farm brand coat like Carhartt, I'd do a 2XL or 2XLT for length. Hope this helps the bigger guys out there if nothing else.

5+ Stars. I can’t believe how warm this keeps me in extreme lower temps hunting in WI. When temps hit the the teens with wind and minimal layers, my buddy always tells me how cold he gets while layered up in his ScentLok set, while I’m comfortable as can be. Absolutely incredible, and awesome for bow hunters!

This jacket is hands down

This jacket is hands down the best whitetail hunting jacket out there. Very warm and comfortable. Makes it easier to sit out longer in cold temps here in the midwest. I’m 6’1” and 200 pounds, I got an XL and I can comfortably wear it over the fanatic hoody and my base layer.

This jacket is awesome. It's

This jacket is awesome. It's super warm, comfortable and quiet. The jackets fit is perfect for bow hunting and allows you to draw and shoot without restrictions. The built in hand muff is perfect for keeping your hands warm.. I only gave it a 4 star rating because I think this needs a hood. I wear the fanatic hoody under this jacket, but it's not the same as a well built hood that will stop snow, rain and wind. This jacket is made for Cold windy conditions. A hood goes a long way to adding protection around your neck and head. I do wear the blizzard hat and neck gaiter with this, but it's not nearly as effective as a hoody in the snow and wind.

I will no longer be

I will no longer be buying sitkas outer jackets. They are way to to short in the torso. An outside layer should cover the insulating layers in my opinion. Both the incinerator and fanatic sit over an inch above my celsius midi. For the amount of money you spend on these things you would think it would be thought out better. And I'm not falling for the athletic fit crap. There is nothing athletic about a damn belly shirt. They are either cutting corners to save money on material or they are basing their american men's sizes off the 8 year old Vietnamese boys building their gear.

Omg! I can’t tell you

Omg! I can’t tell you how awesome this jacket, bib, and sweatshirt is. I have used an assortment of hunting outfits throughout my lifetime and you can tell that these guys hunt. So well thought out. Pockets so convenient and quiet. Took me a few years to get all the pieces because of the price. My wife would buy me one piece per year for anniversary and maybe one for Christmas or my birthday. Well worth it! Thank you Sitka for caring and making a quality product.

This is the best piece

This is the best piece of hunting clothing/equipment I own. It is quiet, innovative and comfortable. The handwarmer pocket is a game changer. It is extremely warm and windproof. I've worn this jacket in the stand in rain, snow, wind, you name it...The Fanatic Jacket performs flawlessly in every condition.

I will start with saying

I will start with saying this: This is the first review I’ve ever given on anything in my life. I use to be one of those guys that cry babied about Sitka's price saying it can’t be that much better to spend that much blah blah blah. I deserve a smack across the face for that. I get cold pretty easily for some reason, That’ll never happen again now that I own Sitka gear. It’s 23 degrees out as I type this from my tree stand right now. Normally I wouldn’t risk taking my hands out of my pocket to loose heat, but with this fanatic setup I feel like I’m sitting on the beach in Florida right now. I’ve tried tons of different suits from other brands even used heated vests and shirts to stay warm. With the Sitka base layers I’d have no issue sitting in single digit weather. Sitka is hands down the best and worth every penny. Another upside when spending a good amount on hunting clothes you already know you’ll watch your weight so you can fit in your Sitka suit every year. It’s just an all around win win with this stuff, you will not be disappointed!

Excellent designed jacket! The Fanatic system is like sitting in a warm sleeping bag in the stand. The windstopper feature turned a below zero windchill into an enjoyable morning hunt. I was not a big fan of the mesh pocket in the front but I would rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it.

It’s ridiculous you didnt make

It’s ridiculous you didnt make this waterproof using goretex like every other hunting coat made. Such a missed chance at perfection.

Excellent heavy weight jacket. -7°C and strong north winds didn’t keep me out of the stand and it paid off. The breathability scale may be a little off though… if you’re active, you’re sweating. Regardless, I 100% recommend buying.

This is the most effective,

This is the most effective, comfortable, functional cold weather hunting gear I've ever seen or used. Being an outfitter in Alberta, Canada there have been many opportunities to put it to the test and it didn't fail once. If you need to be stationary and quiet in super cold weather, just buy it. You'll be glad you did!

Unfortunately, the layering system of

Unfortunately, the layering system of my Stratus, fanatic hoody, and celsius midi have limited the time I am in this jacket. It is extremely warm and quiet. I use the word extremely; you cannot be in this thing in anything over the low 40's or you will feel like you are in a sweat lodge. It is the most innovative piece of hunting gear I own. It really gives this piece of equipment the term 'gear.'

One of the absolute best

One of the absolute best quality hunting items I've ever owned. I normally wear a medium, but i sized up and got a large and it fit perfectly (I'm 5' 8 and 160lbs.) Love everything about this jacket!

This jacket is worth every

This jacket is worth every penny it's wind proof and warm. At twenty degrees i wear a fleece pullover and a tshirt and I'm fine. I had a problem with the zipper but sitka took car of it no problem. Customer care is outstanding .

I purchased this product for

I purchased this product for cold days elk hunting. Works out perfect. Movability is amazing. Not bulky at all. Another great product from sitka. Took this jacket as my main ski jacket in West Virginia and it also worked perfect.

I bought this to pair

I bought this to pair with my Incinerator bibs. The only reason I did not rate as a 5 is that it is a little bulkier than I expected, but not so much that I don't wear it. Sheds cold in the MN winter and is very quiet. Love all the various pockets and hand warmer locations to be prepared when game appears.

I'm not usually one to

I'm not usually one to come back and write a review but this is too good not to. I got the full Fanatic System set last year and like others have said, my only regret is not having done it sooner. I hunt in central and northern Wisconsin where temps can get quite cold during our whitetail season. On days where I used to wear 2 or 3 base layers beneath my outerwear and still get cold, I can now wear the fanatic gear with just one base layer and sit all day without getting cold. Very quiet for bowhunting as well. I even wore it ice fishing one day when the wind chills were approaching -40 F and it stopped that wind dead in its tracks. If you're on the fence, just buy it. You can't put a price on keeping warm and this stuff in unbelievable.

I hunt all over Wisconsin

I hunt all over Wisconsin and sat in neg temps with wind over 20 mph and was not cold at all. Combined with the fanatic bibs, doesn't get any better. No more wearing 2 base layers with a vest, 2 sweatshirts and a jacket lookin like the stay puffed marshmallow man out there that can barely move. Should last a life time. I wear my base layer and fanatic hoody under it and I'm good to go. Only regret is not buying it sooner. Cant say enough about this set.

This is it, the only

This is it, the only late season whitetail jacket you need. The amount of tech built into this piece is mine boggling. Being the simpleton that I am I can tell you it meets the two requirements I had: it's not overly bulky like my older late season gear and it's comfortable to wear and shoot my bow in. You can wear this all day long in the stand or in my case, the saddle. This piece is worth the money for sure.

First set of high end

First set of high end hunting gear i have ever used. I sat for 4 hours in 15 degree weather with merino heavy base layers and fanatic set. I did not even get a chill. I was completely amazed. Can't believe I have hunted for 20 years without this. I was so impressed I got dad a set for Christmas.

This jacket is hands down

This jacket is hands down the best piece of hunting clothing I have ever bought. I was on the fence about dropping that much money on one piece, but now that I have had it for about a month, I wish I had pulled the trigger long ago. I have hunted in 20 degree temps with 15 MPH north winds and not felt a thing this is with a good base layer and the Equinox Jacket underneath. The design team for this really paid attention to details that tree stand hunters would appreciate. The rangefinder pocket is great and the thought behind putting a mesh at the bottom of the pocket to prevent the glass from fogging up is genius. The front hand warming pocket is also great for bow hunting as I can’t wear thick gloves. I feel like the quality of this jacket will last for years to come, so if you are on the fence about getting this I would say go ahead. It may be the last winter jacket you need for winter hunting for years, so the price tag will even out. For reference I am 5’10” and 185lbs and the XL fit great.

I bought this in November,

I bought this in November, preparing for late season in Michigan and Iowa. To be fair, I haven't had 'real' cold weather to test it in, mostly just in the 20's with 10-15mph winds. Regardless, this jacket, and bibs, keeps you warm, no questions asked. I was floored by how well 'good gear' can perform in the cold elements. And the moisture wicking technology of the whole system is amazing to me. After I shot a buck, I didn't take the time to undress; we just went after it. By the time I got back to my truck, my outer jacket was soaked with sweat. It was crazy to me, as I had a baselayer, and the fanatic hoodie underneath. All systems moved the moisture to the outer layer. I was sweaty at the base layer, yes, but not until I noticed the outer layer had moisture in it. It had moved the sweat off my base, through the hoodie, and into the jacket, before I ever noticed I was sweating. I'm impressed, and definitely sold on Sitka.

HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY

HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR THAT JACKET? Yep, and then I say how much did you pay for that bow? $1200. How much for those dozen arrows $120 - broad heads 80 bucks for 12. How much for that release? $60. That new drop away rest $120. New sight $198. Don't forget that safety harness $110.What I would say is, to keep this old bowhunters butt warm, and it does. It's worth every darn penny. It's the same with hunting clothing. This jacket is the warmest one I have ever worn for hunting, and made for bowhunters also. You pay for what you get. Could you improve it? Sure you can. But for now this one will do very, very well. Age 72 Bowhunting since 1987. 36 hunts this year. 110 hours in the stand. 9 hang on stands harvest one 130lb doe. I stayed Warm.

Perfection, these guys at Sitka

Perfection, these guys at Sitka really make awesome products. I hunt here in the northeast and it gets really cold and windy., this is where the Fanatic jacket really shines. In combination with the Fanatic bibs and hat I can bow-hunt in the worst conditions and be comfy all day. I love the fact that it is light and packable so I can hike in then put it on once I get to my tree stand. Sitka under layers and mid layers bring it all together for the perfect system for me. Love this stuff, worth every penny to be warm and comfortable while on stand.

First and foremost, thank you for your partnership with leo adventures; otherwise, I would have likely never had the opportunity to own this gear. My only regret in buying this gear is not doing it sooner. I hunted for years in cheap gear either shivering and wet or so layered up I could barely draw my bow. This gear is phenomenal. First morning I hunted was 28 degrees and couldn't keep the jacket zipped up because I'd start sweating. Highest recommendation on Sitka gear and especially the Fanatic bibs and jacket. And once again, thank you!

I bought the bibs and

I bought the bibs and jacket a few years ago while living in north carolina...it never got cold enough to wear these clothes there without sweating profusely. Earlier this year however, I had a reason to use them when my car broke down along the oregon coast, in January, while traveling and I was stranded with no heater, and no house to seek shelter in. I wasn't concerned about freezing once I remembered I had these clothes tucked in the back of my car. For about a month I wore these in frigid wet conditions and had to remove them often because of overheating...even on chilly nights. I didn't put the bibs on completely when I slept either, just the coat and draping the bibs over my legs was sufficient. I'm hot blooded too, and rarely put on many layers...but, after a couple weeks without any source of heat but what I would eat, these clothes were a lifesaver and kept me toasty and dry. I also learned that no matter how much fast food I'd consume, I never felt warmed by the food, just gross and awful. I not only became a true fan of Sitka gear clothes, but an understander of the true benefits of eating raw and organic food. When your body is operating correctly, the nutrition you supply it encourages warmth. I learned extremely quickly that when your flesh is tested by the elements, your food is of a great importance. And neither gmo nor fast food gave me any energy or warmth whatsoever. Awesome experience and incredible clothes Sitka.

This jacket is the only

This jacket is the only jacket I will ever need. It is all that you say it is. The Camo pattern works extremely well. The front pocket to keep you hands worm is the thing that seals the deal. The only negative I have is that I feel it could use a hood.

This jacket and bib combo

This jacket and bib combo is unreal. As everyone knows Sitka always exceeds expectations. That being said most items I can at least imagine improvements no matter how small they may be. Thats not the case with these items. I literally cannot imagine one improvement that could be made. It's better than I ever thought a hunting jacket could be. For reference I wore this with a core lightweight T, and the Fanatic Hoody and was more than comfortable in 15 degrees for hours on end.

The jacket is freakin amazing

The jacket is freakin amazing but you can read the other reviews to find that out. I’m here to talk about the warranty, my dog chewed up my jacket and I almost cried because it is an essential tool for the rut hunts! I called them and told them my dog crewed up the zipper and I sent it back to them. Not only did they fix the jacket free of charge, they also sent me a Sitka camo ball cap. What an awesome company!! Yes the jacket is pricey but when you are setting in the tree on a 15° November morning your going to be mad you didn’t have it the year before..

I had the first fanatic

I had the first fanatic jacket. Excellent garment. This new jacket made for lefties is warmer and quiet. The hand muff with a thin pair of gloves keeps you set for hours in the stand in 20 degree weather.

The warmth and wind blocking

The warmth and wind blocking of this jacket is amazing. Love the layout and pockets including the unique hand muff. This is the best hunting jacket I have ever worn. Hunting gear fro Sitka makes the hunt in tough midwest fall and winter conditions so much more comfortable and enjoyable.

If you hunt in a

If you hunt in a cold climate, this jacket is worth it's weight in gold. The kangaroo pocket is something special. No need for hand muff or thick gloves, which is a huge advantage when bow hunting. People might say it attracts burs, but you should honestly just pack it in anyways because it is so warm. For it's warmth, it isn't bulky at all. No problems with string slap on the sleeves whatsoever. Far superior to any body suit kind of system out there. Pairing it with the neck gaiter, and either the fanatic beanie or stratus beanie is far superior to any hood they could possibly design for this jacket. The price may hurt a bit, but I PROMISE you, you will be so glad you purchased this magical piece of gear.

I like this jacket for

I like this jacket for the most part, but there are some things I would change. The pouch pocket needs some work. I don't see the need for the mesh and the magnet is not near strong enough. If you bend over, good chance you are going to lose some things. Also, I'd like if they added a zippered pocket on the left chest (for the right handed version.) I also wish id had velcro wrists. Over time the wrist openings will get stretched out. Still wish it came with a removable hood too. I don't understand why they took that away.

Finally found something that can

Finally found something that can keep me nice and toasty even in subzero windchill/temps. Great combination of technologies. I will be using it for my big game hunt this Winter in northern Wyoming.

This is the jacket I

This is the jacket I pull out when the mercury really drops...you will not get cold in this jacket and it is complety windproof. When hunting public land with my buddy this past deer season we had a 20 minute boat ride and it was 30 degrees....never felt the wind cutting through my jacket at all. Super comfortable and super quiet as advertised.

Typical Sitka quality as far

Typical Sitka quality as far as the stitching and general build goes. It's a very nice 'all in one' package and I've been able to eliminate the need to carry a muff which takes up space and adds weight when strapped to my mobile setup. I think removing the exterior fleece for archery purposes is a neat idea but I do also believe that it takes away warmth from the jacket too. I had no issues shooting with the previous version. It is certainly nice for the bibs since it really does work to get the burrs out easier. A few improvement could be made. I am not a fan of the constant connect 'feature'. It is not well executed. Cold drafts flow right down your neck to your back when there's any kind of wind. If it was sealed better or there was more fabric to keep the warmth in maybe it would work??? It's harder to get this jacket on since the nylon inner sleeves of the previous version are gone and now it's the micro fleece that layers get caught on. There should be a hood option too, especially for the cost of this jacket. Last of all they took away the internal zippered chest pocket that was on the previous version which only leave the pouch pocket. All these are easy to fix and should have been incorporated into the build of this jacket. Seems like it's 2 steps forward and 3 steps back.

I really liked this suit.

I really liked this suit. Unfortunately, it wasn't the right suit for me. It's warm and deadly quiet. It's the most quiet suit out there. The Joey pocket is great, and the hand muff pocket is great as well. All the magnets seemed to work very well. My only gripe with this suit, and the reason I returned it, was because it's NOT WATERPROOF. For 700+ dollars I feel like the suit should be able to be a one stop shop for the elements. If it's snowing or raining I have to start considering wearing a different suit that will allow me to stay in the stand all day. I understand that the lack of a waterproof layer is what makes this jacket so quiet. But there are a few other suits out there that check all the other boxes, including being waterproof that are only a few decibels louder that this. It's a great suit, it's just too much money for a suit that can't be your 'go to' regardless of the weather.

So I bought this thinking

So I bought this thinking good thoughts with very little money. (Past) I have been using homemade gillie suit but this last year wearing this gear I walked up to two diffrent deer, I mean 10 ft. Unlike my gillie suit, when I stopped moving the deer would go back to doing what ever. With gillie suit the deer would always keep their eyes on me but with this, they turned their backs and walked around, even when shooting at both they only moved 10-20ft away from me great camo!!!!! (I now have a loan at bank for this camo)

I have used this jacket

I have used this jacket for the past two years. Great jacket for under 35 degrees. The pouch in the front is fleece lined and works like a muff. Kept me warm on all day-sits in 30 degree, windy Kansas archery hunt this year. Would recommend to anyone. 6'3' 230 pounds and the XL fits perfect.

I have had it for

I have had it for couple of months and fit and feel is great. Finally had some cold enough to wear and no disappointments. Very warm and comfortable and my favorite cold weather jacket I've ever owned.

Hands down the best jacket

Hands down the best jacket I have ever worn and easily my favorite piece of Sitka gear that I own. The jacket is so well thought out and is a bowhunters dream. The arms are smoothed out in areas to allow for a smooth draw cycle, which is really nice, it also has a range finder/ grunt tube pocket, another pocket you can store your phone in, etc., and a kangaroo style hand muff pocket that is so warm I don't even wear gloves when hunting in it. The collar on this jacket is really nice because it eliminates the need for a neck gaiter and has a magnet to help fold the neck collar down if that's how you prefer to wear it. I'm 6 foot and a bigger guy and normally wear an XL in clothes but I ordered this in an XXL. It fits a little big but is exactly what I wanted so that I could layer under it. If you're not a 'bigger' guy, I'd order the size you normally wear because it is meant for layering. I wear this jacket when it gets down to 35 degrees and below. I've worn it around 30 degrees with strong winds and with nothing other than a long sleeve shirt under it. I have also worn it down to 18 with a long sleeve compression base layer and a vest and stayed plenty warm. I'm positive with a a good mid layer that this jacket can be worn down to the single digits if not down to 0. The jacket is very warm and I cannot begin to explain how good the WindStopper works in this jacket. When I walk to the stand I keep the jacket unzipped and if I'm carrying a lot then I will wait til I get to the stand to put it on. If you don't you'll probably be extra toasty and extra sweaty walking in. The jacket is pricey but if you're a serious whitetail hunter, especially in the late-season, this jacket is a must and well worth the investment into your gear. Thank you Sitka!
