The torso is short. I wouldn't wear this jacket by itself. When paired with my fanatic bibs, it is great! I wore it in low 40's and it was perfect with a long sleeve t-shirt. Lower temps might need other layers.

Well Thought Out Just like the Bibs

If you are a bow hunter, this is a perfect piece of gear. All the pockets are well thought out. I really like the sleeves. No bulkiness, but remains warm.

You Won't Be Cold

Disturbingly warm jacket. Purchased in all black for a general cold season jacket. It's one of the few jackets I can get too warm in, especially if layered. The cross-zip is far more functional than I had anticipated. And the hand pocket is so nice for cold hands. The front pocket is like a fanny pack, and is nice for all essential items. Definitely one of my favorite jackets. I'm 6'1 150lbs and ordered a large. I feel like this jacket has plenty of room for those with larger stomach's.

One of the warmest hunting Jackets i have ever owned!!!

I am 6’2” and 185lbs.

I am 6’2” and 185lbs. I wear a 42L suit coat My shirts are 16. 5” neck with 35” sleeves. I have two of these, one in elevated camo for hunting late season bow and one in black for cold days walking my dog or going out more at night in the dark. Both in XL. Fit for hunting is perfect as I often have bibs on and many layers. Never get cold. The other I should have bought in Large as I never layer the same when not sitting in the tree. Fit is loose at the waist but has the ability to cinch down. This helps when not layering but leaves my midsection baggy. Amazing coat. Wouldn’t change a thing on it. Made incredibly well and well thought out.

Warm and Comfortable

I hunt during the winter months in western PA, so temps can range from 0 to 50 degrees. This jacket is ideal for staying warm sitting in a tree but also roomy and breathable enough for walking distances without getting overheated. I typically wear size large to extra large jackets, and Sitka's size Extra-Large jacket fit perfectly, no weird tight areas anywhere. I would recommend this product.

Late Season bow hunting jacket

Will be great for the windy bow hunts in South Dakota for sure. Quiet and the pocket placements are awesome. Perfect for archery. .

Warm and quiet

Haven’t been able to get out hunting in the fanatic jacket yet, however, I have shed hunted in it and warn it around. It is quiet as can be, and warmer than I would’ve thought. I don’t think there will be temps cold enough in michigan for this coat to not keep me warm

Exactly what I was looking for. Works great when ambient temperatures in 40 degree range with breeze blowing from north <10 mph. Perfect outer layer provided correct underlying. Great wind stopping ability.

Already had the camo version and liked it so much that I wanted the black for everyday wear and hunting. In extreme cold I layer underneath. Plenty of room for accessories like calls and gloves etc. sizing is correct. Worth the bucks IMHO.

I don't hunt very much

I don't hunt very much anymore but when I saw the black Fanatic on sale, I purchased it for watching cold football games and very cold walks in the winter. It has an athletic fit and it's so warm you don't need to layer up too much. If you're going to put two layers underneath, go one size up. I returned a medium and got the large. The sideways zipper is worth it to get that super nice, warm kangaroo pocket. Five stars for sure if it had a hood, better yet a removable one.

Bow Hunting and Rifle season - I was looking for a black, cold weather , INSIDE blind jackegt. I have two of your hoodies, one thick and one medium weight that I have used - but they cover other Sitka cold gear in camo that I have . . just too much bulk, and not ideal in terms of pockets, etc. - The BLACK, fanatic jacket that I puchased, in 3xl is perfect. Brilliantly designed, all of the right techical details - well done, thank you!

Wow. This jacket is an amazingly warm jacket. Even if you are just going to the office, or going out for hours in the winter cold, this jacket delivers amazing warm. The pockets are interesting. Your left and right pockets connect providing one big pocket, and then there is an external large pocket that allows you to put just about anything in. All pockets zip, so you don’t have to worry about losing anything.

Warmest piece I've ever owned, layered right you shouldn't have any issues. I would definitely purchase this again, biggest downfall is that burrs, stick tights, Burdock's, whatever you want to call them stick very bad, I will not track wearing this coat with bibs but I will say it's better not to pick them out right away they seem to dry up and basically fall out or brush off by the following year from my experience. I hunt in Michigan for temperature reference.

Hands down the warmest jacket/coat I’ve ever owned. Side zipper is great and keeps everything out of the way. Front pocket doubles as a hand muff if you go out without gloves. I bought the elevated camo for the woods and purchased the back later because I wanted on that I can wear to work without drawing attention!
