Highly recommend

I purchased this vest for my husband (he couldn’t stop talking about it after he saw mine). The fit is perfect on both of our sizes, he got an XL to wear be able to layer comfortably, I have a M and it’s perfect over a sweatshirt and for layering. The vest is incredibly comfortable and warm. It makes bow hunting in colder temps more enjoyable.

Awesome vest

Great alone or added with a jacket

Like having a warm comforter as a best. Comfortable and wind resistant. Lots of convenient pockets and layers well under winter jackets on those frigid hunts. Side zips helps when layering so you can sit or move with ease

Great for outer layering

I am 6’3 and weigh 200. With Sitka stuff, I fall in between L and XL with hoodies, shirts and jackets. With the Fanatic Vest, it is definitely an outer layering piece for me. If not layering underneath, L would have been perfect. I will probably wear this over my Stratus jacket when temps get in the 30s and below. If you are familiar with the jacket, all of the same features minus the sleeves.

Never got to put it

Never got to put it into action this year, I needed it for the early part of the cold season when I was still bow hunting and my bow string was getting caught on the bulky sleeves of my fanatic coat. Tested it in the backyard though and it seems to be the solution so I look forward to putting it into action next year. I know it will keep my core warm based on how my coat is, what I don't know is whether or not my arms will freeze or not. Time will tell. I say fit runs true to size assuming that you know how bulky the material is and how that size all ready fits in the jacket. They definitely fit true to size but on the exterior they are a bit bigger so I would try them on and make sure you have adequate room to layer underneath. I typically size up on the fanatic stuff to layer a bunch underneath

Appears to be exactly what I’ve been been needing!

WNY bow

I match this vest with traverse hoodie/bibs when it’s too cold. It’s a nice piece of gear but the sticker price is steep. The argument is it blends pretty well and the vest is quiet. Worth the price if you utilize it a lot. It is a heavy vest definitely for cool weather.
