Bought this to use in the blind and my duck boat because my previous one was not waterproof and had a bag full of wet gear. This one has plenty of room for everything and stays dry.

Fantastic bag. Many options for storing your gear. I would like to see it " waterproof" but it's definitely resistant. A true vertical shotgun attachment system would also be nice but it's a great bag for waterfowlers in mild to moderate conditions.

I had high hopes for this back pack. It was barely used, the back padding busted at the seam that connected it to the bag. I contacted Sitka under their warranty and they said rips and tears aren’t covered. Again I see it as a busted seam which should have been covered. The mess design that attaches the padding to the bag is asking to come off. The water resistance is little to none. The bag constantly has water in it. It usually rides in my jet sled to keep it dry, but it always seems to soak up water. I do not believe the tapered seems prevent anything.

It’s a great pack, straps are awesome but it’s kind of similar to the travel bags. The pockets are awkward, small and hard to get into. Shell boxes don’t lay flat, guarenteed to dump out. There’s nowhere to put chokes, wrenches and all the waterfowl things. No place to put water bottles and Batteries? forget about it. It’s a very cool bag, seems super durable, but not waterfowler friendly. First Purchase I’ve been extremely disappointed in, and I own ALOT of pieces that get VERY well used. I’ll be giving this one away and purchasing a different bag after just 4 uses. If they made a tool bucket in a waterproof version, i would buy it today.

After owning a variety of different blind bags, this backpack-style one has proven to be my favorite. It's great for hiking in, and waterproof enough to lay in the water in the bottom of a sled or boat. Very nice compartment layout to keep things organized as well.

Great pack for storage and comfortable to walk around with while having a fair amount of weight in it. If you hunt waterfowl in the rain like I do in kodiak alaska, do not expect it to stay dry on the inside. I constantly end up with puddles of water in the two large compartments. I have to empty the pack and put it on a boot dryer after every hunt in the rain.

Great pack. I can store 5 boxes of shot gun shells along with gloves, hats, chokes, and other items. I like that I can carry it by its handle or with the backpack straps. I’m going going on my second waterfowl season with this pack and have not had any issues.

The Full Choke Waterfowl pack is perfect for my application, refuge and blind hunts. There are plenty of separate pockets and zippered areas that nicely store large and small items. The backpack is very comfortable to wear even when packed fully with a jacket, shells, water, and thermos of coffee. Many reviews seem concerned the pack is not waterproof but SITKA doesn’t tout the item as waterproof but water resistant. The Full Choke definitely meets this expectation and I highly recommend this product.

I love the material and the durability. I get a little lost with the layers and layers of compartments. A little overwhelming for simplicity, but if you need a lot of different storage, this is it. I used it once and packed 5 days of clothing alone in it for a trip. This thing can hold some stuff and it’s not that big. If you lay around in muddy fields, this is a go to bag.

I’m 16 and worked all summer to get this bag, I hunt the public land in the sc marshes every day before school (it’s not easy on gear) so far I love the bag but I think they could have done a better job on the back mesh because it holds water and let’s it into the bag and the outer shell isn’t completely waterproof either if it had been completely waterproof it would have been my dream pack for duck hunting.

I am updating my earlier review of this product. While my initial review was fond of this product, my experience yesterday completely changed my mind! Layout of the pack is still very good and useful. The pack holds a pretty good amount of gear. The pack is comfortable and adjustable. All great things! Now the bad........ This bag is not waterproof. It is barely water resistant. I hunted 3 hours yesterday in a steady, but light rain. Drizzle at times, a little heavier at other times. Not heavy however. The top zippered opening (that I use for keys, headlamp and a snack bar) was soaked. The small opening on the very front where I keep my lanyard, was wet. The two large openings, where I keep; a spare box of shells, a DSLR and two lenses, gloves, hats and the Duck Oven Jacket, those two openings were soaked as well. The padded back soaked. This pack was not out, directly in the elements either. It was under the cover of my layout blind. Since 2015, I have spent my fair share with Sitka. I own just about every piece of the Elevate II Whitetail gear (exception being the Incinerator Set), including two of the three packs. I also own probably 2/3 of the Waterfowl gear in Marsh. I am a firm believer in and speak very highly of and recommend Sitka gear to everyone I know. It really is the most thought out, well designed, most comfortable hunting apparel in the industry. This is the very first piece of Sitka gear that I am completely unhappy with. In fact, it is the only piece of Sitka gear that I own, that I am unhappy with. I am and will continue to be a Sitka supporter and user. However, I am not sure how many more days of waterfowling this pack will see. The exception being blue bird days! Sorry Sitka, but this one is a fail for me.

Great bag, but wish they had used a different material on the back panel. In a good rain the back panel allows water into the entire bag. I realize it's water resistant but on a 250.00 bag they could have done a better job with the back panel. Love the bag otherwise.

Nice pack. Carries a fair amount of gear. Wish it would hold a bit more, similar to the bow hunters 'Tool Box'. Then again, that may be too much gear. That said, fairly impressed with this pack. In mine I keep (at this point in the season, early October in Wisconsin); my Duck Oven Jacket, Gradient Gloves, Pantanal GTX Gloves, Delta Deek GTX Gloves, Dakota Beanie, Boreal Beanie, a couple of granola bars, a 20oz. soda, a DSLR body, a 50mm prime lens, a 14-24mm lens, a folding saw for cutting blind cover, two boxes of shells, a head lamp and my lanyard with calls. However, as someone who mostly hunts from a kayak, this pack unfortunately is not 100% waterproof. That is an awful shame. So 4 stars for me. Make this 100% waterproof (no reason not to, as we are talking waterfowl product here) and it is an easy 5 star pack!

This is a really well thought out pack. It stores an immense amount of gear and still is able to lay relatively flat and take up much less space than other waterfowl backpacks. I really like the multitude f interior pockets which keep things organized and snug. The material is very much waterproof and keeps stuff bone dry (barring you remember to zip it up in a rain flurry). The straps are thick and heavy duty and look to be made to last. I have used this pack for hiking even outside of duck season.

plenty of room to store all the things you need to keep dry, extra shells, calls, clothes. i fill this thing up with food, extra clothes, calls and personal info and i just through it into the bottom of my boat and blind and i never had anything get wet. the waist straps can come off if you don't need them and a carry handle on the side for easy of carry and dont have to shoulder it to move

The pack arrived just before I went on a 3-day late season goose hunt in Southern Oregon. The pack was large enough to hold my calls, shells, extra cloths, snacks and other items necessary in a goose blind. Partitions separate the main body of the pack and each space has several zipper compartments to help keep things organized. The outer material handled the cold (17 degree low) temps and kept the contents dry despite several inches of wet snow. The pack is a good size for a snug pit blind and offers a couple different options to hang it from. It does take a little getting used to when accessing contents inside the pack because it is designed for side access rather than from the top. Overall, a well-built pack that should hold up under tough, damp waterfowl hunting conditions.

This pack is very spacious. The multiple handles come in handy. The bag is constructed well and seems like it will last a long time. It can be a bit tricky to pack because you pack it through the side and then wear it vertically but as long as you’re mindful how you pack it’s no big deal. I really have enjoyed using this pack so far and am considering getting the smaller version as well.

What a great pack! There is plenty of places for small pockets and divisions. The pack is so comfortable to wear or carry. I really like the set up for leaving the pack on its side. It took me a while to fine tune how and where to put everything! The duck straps are nice and easy to deploy and also nice to be stored out if the way. The metal buckles are nice and I have used several carabiners to hold various water bottles etc. it has been dry for me in the limited rain I have been in so far. I am very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend this pack!

This pack is a definite upgrade from the backpack I have been using for the last 10+years. Depending on what type of waterfowl hunting I am doing I use a pack (walk-in) or a waterproof bucket (scissor rig/layout/boat) to carry and protect my gear. I plan on using this for all my waterfowl trips. I don't anticipate the non-waterproof zippers being an issue as long as I don't fall overboard wearing it.
