Without a doubt best piece

Without a doubt best piece I have. 90% of all my CA Waterfowl hunts I have this on. Most comfortable and warm piece of clothing I own. Gonna buy a second one soon.

I’ve worn this on many

I’ve worn this on many occasions at temps between 15 and 40 degrees. Definitely a cold weather piece of clothing. At 40 degrees and walking it’s too warm, but it is great for sitting/glassing/tree stand. At the colder temps it’s just right for both. I gave it 4 stars because around the waist it could be smaller for someone with a 33 inch waist and the thumb holes are a bit uncomfortable for extended periods of time. All in all I would recommend it to my clients and other outfitters.

Believe the hype. This piece

Believe the hype. This piece of gear is amazing. Only taking away 1 star because the 'thumb hole' design is the absolute worst I've ever experienced. I both like and use thumbholes but this design is so uncomfortable that it is completely unusable.

I wore mine this weekend

I wore mine this weekend to baseball games and it was so warm. I look forward to wearing it this fall in the duck blind!!

One of the warmest hoodie's

One of the warmest hoodie's I have ever used. I've used it bird hunting since November/December and it has worked great. It's worked well all the way into the low 30's. Not the greatest wind-blocker, but it's really warm and comfortable.

This hoody is top notch.

This hoody is top notch. It’s obviously not as flexible as a cotton hoody but the earth and wind protection is great. I own three of these: one camo and two everyday colors and wear one everyday to work. The fitted hood is really nice on the windy and cold days. get cold real easy and this hoody is used as a midlayer every time I hunt. When putting out decoys or moving it will keep me warm even when the temp is in the 20s. No complaints.

Best hoody on the market. Can't beat the quality and warmth of this hoody. The best thing about it is how good it fits. It's slim and the facemask fits tight around your head and face to keep wind from coming threw.

It’s as good as advertised! Warm and comfortable. I love the hood and how it’s so form fitting. It actually keeps my ears warm. I had to size up to a large. It fits just like mediums from other major brands.

A souped-up hoodie! Super comfortable.

A souped-up hoodie! Super comfortable. True to size. I wore the white during my Arkansas snow goose hunts this season. With a little spot treatment and wash the mud and blood came right out. Super warm down to 20°F with a heavyweight base layer and the Dakota vest.

I bought the waterfowl timber

I bought the waterfowl timber color first and liked it so much I came back to buy another pair in green. The jackets performance is great!

The fit is small for

The fit is small for me. I'm 6' 2', 195 lbs with broad shoulders and purchased the XL. The hoody is short and tight in the torso. I usually wear LT or XL in other sitka gear and don't have a problem. I would size up the next time for this hoody.

What a amazing piece to

What a amazing piece to add to the sitka arsenal! To be honest I wouldn't just call it a duck hunting piece because it makes a great bow hunting layering piece. So warm and so quiet. I call this a must.

I'm going to wear the hell out of this piece of kit. Great fit in XL for 46 inch chest, 38 inch waist and 18 inch biceps, with base layer lightweight in the October and Heavyweight in the January-March late season with Hudson Jacket who needs anymore.

The entire gradient line of

The entire gradient line of clothing is amazing, I have the hoody, pants and gloves. I wear this hoody for all sorts of things, early season whitetail hunts I just wear it for my jacket, love the built in face make. Another great piece of Sitka apparel. Highly recommended this product.

I purchased the Gradient Hoody

I purchased the Gradient Hoody in XL to be worn with a vest and base layer in temperatures above 30 degrees or under the Delta Wading jacket in wet or windy conditions. No issues to date with those conditions. I field hunt in Colorado and the jacket has been exposed to falling snow but no rain. The finish seems adequate for those conditions. I am 6'1', 225lbs with broad shoulders and 34-36' waist. Sleeve length and range of motion are good. The body portion is slightly larger than I believed it would be (not athletic) but does allow easy removal and wear over layered garments. I have worn a large tall lightweight base layer and XL Kelvin Lite vest underneath and also a merino base-layer, Gradient Hoody, and Drake waterfowl vest over top with no mobility issues. The hoody is a great utility player that can be used in multiple scenarios.

I love this hoodie. As

I love this hoodie. As many would agree the built in mask isn't the greatest, its thin and gets in the way. But it works well when you need to run into a store. It is extremely warm and the hood is the greatest part. It doesn't get too much in the way and when its on its not huge and baggy like other hoods. It stays wrapped around your head. The pocket is incredible. You stick your cold hands in there and they will warm right up. Overall this is one well designed hoodie.

I never could break down

I never could break down and spend the money on myself because of my wife passing away from Leukemia cancer and me having to raise our three kids I couldn’t do it with my now being a single father so a really good friend surprised me for Christmas and bought me this gradient hoody and let me tell you guys I wear it every where this is the best jack eye i’ve ever owned. I want even let my older son wear it lol but it got a equinox jacket from the same buddy the next year and he loves it now Iv taken both and wear th em on different occasions of coarse I give it back I really want the new timber color in this jacket so bad but I just can’t swing the extra money with having to pay for so much due to us not having life insurance and being so young but guys I live in the south it gets wet cold and this jacket hasn’t let me down my dad always swore by Columbia jackets and gave me one from the 80s that I thought was warm compared to this gradient hoody it’s a bad to the bone jacket hopefully soon I can get another one in the new flooded timber color thanks Sitka you have a customer for life.

Color Covert (L)/ 5'10/195lbs Dang... I feel like my reviews are saying the same thing with how these products feel and function. The gradient hoodie definitely walks the walk!

Possibly my all time favorite

Possibly my all time favorite piece of hunting gear. I wore this hoody at least 40 days this past duck season and it has held up extremely well. It’s so comfortable and layers very well and also works on its own.

Bought the marsh camo for

Bought the marsh camo for duck season this year. Became one of my favorite items. I just purchased another 2 in solid colors for everyday work in the Minnesota winters.

Just like the description says, this has become my new favorite sweatshirt. It is warm and extremely comfortable. It is great layered hunting under the delta wading jacket or as a standalone sweatshirt. Highly recommended and I will be getting more.

WHITE COLOR REVIEW. Great hoody

WHITE COLOR REVIEW. Great hoody as far as hoodies go. Comfortable and warm. Not windproof so I don't use on cold days as a stand alone. I will say that you can layer up underneath co increase warmth but I would size up if that is your play. As far as the WHITE is concerned, I can tell you this thing gets dirty. The end of the sleeves get very dirty. However I bought it for snow geese and snow situations as I would rather have a functional white/warm piece vs a regular white hoodie. What I can tell you is that when I washed the hoody, ALL of the dirt came out and it was as good as new. I did some spot treatment prior to wash. I think as long as you stay up on washing, you can keep this piece fairly white. Again I stress that this hoody is far better than just a white cheap hoody. The dirt washes out!

I love this jacket I

I love this jacket I have warn it crane hunting in Lubbock in the temperature below 10 degrees with just a vest and I was warm and it is a good all around jacket for hunting in cold weather.

I'd give it 10 stars if I could. As a Guide that hunts a ton, this Hoody is my go-to for cold mornings in the blind. It has just the right amount of fleece to keep you warm, without restricting movement when shooting. Just an amazing product!!

This is a very warm

This is a very warm hoody! Perfect combination with the wader Jacket on mornings in the 50’s or paired with the duck oven when colder. As others have said the built in face mask is worthless. It’s thin and is a pain when not being used. At least it’s covid compliant when you need to run in a store!

Just got this in white

Just got this in white to wear big game hunting in snow. It’s so comfortable and warm I wear as an everyday piece!! One of my favorites! Going to get a green one for those cold mornings archery elk hunting!! Just like all my Sitka Gear quality is top-notch!!

I bought the WHITE gradient

I bought the WHITE gradient hoodie. It's awesome and I love it. But I just noticed that my zippers are actually the charcoal/gray color. So, not sure why it isn't fully white like the picture on the website? But just FYI.

This piece has become one

This piece has become one of my 'essential' pieces for waterfowling. Early in the season, when the temps are a bit warmer, this piece over a light weight base layer and I am good to go. As the season progresses and the temps drop, this is a fantastic insulating layer. Worn under a shell such as the Hudson Jacket and I am good in temps down into the 20's (with a merino base layer). All in all, a great piece from Sitka (as one would expect) and something that every waterfowler should have!

I cant say enough about

I cant say enough about how well this feels to wear, the comfort of having just one layer and not a bulky feel makes the real difference in comfort for the day. Worth every penny.

Iv never owned any Sitka

Iv never owned any Sitka products because it seemed a little pricey for what I could afford so I just delt with the weather either freezing or burning up with my cheep hunting clothes layered like a little buddha until a good friend bought me the gradient jacket 2 years ago for duck hunting and of coarse I babied it scared to mess it up because of the price and so the first year I didn’t even want to get mud on it but when it came around to the second year I said o well let’s test this thing out since I hear how great it was and tuff so I wore it and put it through things it probably shouldn’t go through and let me tell you this Jacket is Bad A_s this thing has never let me down has stood up to every condition you can think of was used to duck hunt in the marsh and used to deer hunt in the woods and I made sure I didn’t leave home without it. I love every feature to it and every inch is used for a purpose the hood I love it cups around your head good and protects your ears and down draft on the neck the mask in the hoodie is Genius for useful for any hunting it’s quite and very warm and comfortable to wear deer hunting and after this experience I have become a Sitka fanatic I love there products and will never buy anything else since I received this as a gift and became a believer I have now bought many pieces of Sitka and have bought my son Sitka to wear and he loves it as well I’d love to test there new products and really put them through a real torture test to see how new products stand up. I want to let Sitka know I greatly appreciate the great clothes y’all make and the time y’all put into researching how to better the best hunting products around and to others reading and thinking you are worried about not being happy with the product specially this jacket and pants I promise you will want to wear it year round it is a must have and to my friend that bought my first piece of Sitka to turn me into a believer thank you very much I owe you buddy.

This piece is a great

This piece is a great addition to my hunting collection. I use it hunting for ducks, geese and even whitetail tree stand hunting. I love that this hoody offers free movement of my arms without the bulk but also still keeps the warmth enclosed. I pair it with my Stratus vest and its perfect together on the cold early morning hunts.

Very warm and versatile piece, I wear it waterfowl and deer hunting. You are free to move with little to no bulk, I wear a t-shirt under it when it is in the low 30s.

Absolutely my favorite and most

Absolutely my favorite and most worn piece. I have the solid green I wear it hunting, working outside, or even around house or office in the colder months. I honestly will probably buy another one so I have two in my wardrobe.

This piece is a great

This piece is a great addition to my hunting collection. This hoody offers free movement of my arms without the bulk and keeps the warmth enclosed even into the low 30's with base layers. My biggest turnoff for this hoody is the hood. It desperately needs to be redesigned. Due to the conformity of the hood, it does not allow you to look around with ease. There are multiple times each hunt where it restricts head movement which is crucial for a waterfowl hunter. I hope in the near future a new model is released that has a flexible middle layer that attaches the hood the the body which would allow for better range of motion.

The jacket itself is great.

The jacket itself is great. Extremely comfortable, warm, and extremely durable. The only downfall on this item is the cut of the hood, it is too far forward and impairs vision when looking around and behind you. I have a layout jacket and the hood on that jacket has a functional cut, would really like to see this jacket run a similar set up (high collar and cut-back hood).
