Needed something that wasn't to bulky but stopped the cold hard wind and precipitation. I like in Pittsburgh and the winters can be cold and windy, this jacket stops the elements but keep me warm, really like the internal cuffs that keep the wind out and the tough exterior. Looking forward to having this for years.

I have worn this jacket three winters now doing commercial and industrial hvac work. Snagged it on sharp edges without ripping, crawled through boiler rooms and kept warm on rooftops in sub zero temps with a hoodie underneath. So yeah, you can chop wood and shoot your mathews bow on a cold morning on your private ranch. It will hold up.

This jacket is extremely durable and blocks all wind. It is very warm despite having slightly less insulation than a traditional winter jacket. I do wear a vest underneath when the temperatures near sub zero if I won't be moving much, but it is otherwise warmer than you would expect. Fit runs true to size and it looks nice for both work and casual wear.

Great jacket. Perfect for cold mornings doing chores or under an upland vest. We were close to limiting while hunting pheasants in Kansas on a very cold and windy day. The Grindstone allowed me to stick with my hunt until we bagged all our roosters even in the wind and rain.

Sitkas take on a common name brand work jacket. Seems pretty durable. 5-10 270lb and bought 2xL. Body wise fits great and lose a couple lbs it will be baggy. The sleeves are a little long tho. Not a dealbreaker but noticeable. Will be a good jacket for plowing/snowblowing I think. I wish it had a removable hood. Not a fan of jackets with hoods.
