Guard lite

Fit is true to size, I've only owned them a week so I am interested how they hold up. Only things I don't care for are there is only one back pocket and the gaiter is looser than I expected it to be.

Originally I had ordered waist size 34, which is my correct waist size. They were too small. Sent back for 36. Fit much better. Nice pants but for the price I should be able to select my inseam. Not everyone is a 32 in. inseam. Otherwise, as usual, nice Sitka quality.

Great lightweight pant

Pants are very nice and comfortable. The insect shield works amazing. I just wish the pants had some more pockets.

Excellent light weight pant

I used these pants for warm weather turkey hunting and they worked great. Only thing to improve would be a zippered side pocket. Loved the ankle cuff to keep the ticks out!

Light and easy wear during spring turkey hunting……great for long sits helping to keep the insects away. Highly recommend

Peace of mind - light weight and comfortable

I picked up a pair of these for a recent work trip to an area with lots of ticks. They look nice enough to wear in a professional setting but provide the peace of mind to reduce the threat of tick-born illnesses. I doused mine with permethrin and breathed easy.

First impression after trying on, this meets the same quality that I have come to expect from my SITKA gear. They run a little tighter than my other pairs of hunting pants. I would have probably ordered a size bigger. Not a huge issue, just makes loading the pockets harder.

I’ve had the chance to run the Guard LT Pants from Sitka on a turkey hunt down in Florida and again in Ohio, and I’ve got to say—they’ve seriously impressed me. First thing that stood out was the insect protection. Between both hunts, I didn’t deal with ticks, bugs, or anything getting through to my skin or base layers, which is a huge win, especially in warmer, high-pressure environments. The fit is spot on—comfortable without being bulky—and they move really well whether you’re sitting, crawling, or covering ground. They’re lightweight, breathable, and ideal for spring conditions or any warm-weather hunt where you still need protection without overheating. Overall, they just perform. Comfortable, functional, and built for exactly what they’re intended to do. Definitely a solid piece of gear for anyone chasing birds or hunting in bug-heavy areas.

Overall this is great, its lightweight and works as it should. It fits true to size. My one and only complaint is that the internal leg gaiters were changed in a bad way. They were shortened to barely above the ankle. This was done due to them being a hot weather pant and the presumption that people do not wear over the calf socks with their boots year round. Well I do. These are designed to accommodate extremely short socks. The downside is that I have fold down my everyday socks in order to use the internal leg gaiters. If the leg gaiters were left alone to match the Equinox Guard, they would still work for my situation, and that would not effect anyone who decides to wear shorter boots/shorter socks. They could still use the pants as intended. 6 additinal inches of extremely lightweight leg gaiters would not generate too much heat or be cumbersome to anyone wearing short socks. If you're like me and wear over the calf socks all year, these pants are not for you. They have baby-sized internal leg gaiters that do not accommodate tall socks. I would say it is a design flaw because full length internal leg gaiters would not change the purpose, fit, or function of the pants. The re-designing of the leg gaiters however, does make them unusable to us tall sock-wearing people.

They are a bit snug, very thin, super comfortable, most importantly kept the ticks off. I’m 5’6, 190lbs, 32” inseem. I got the 36 regular.

I have a pair of the original ones. Those are great. The fabric and fit is quite different. They’re much hotter and less flexible. Quality feels much lesser. Pockets are different too and less functional. I would not buy again.

Very lightweight, comfortable stretchy bugproof pants. Extremely tight knit, but yet still breathable. I love mine!

Best tracksuit, worst hunting pants

If you are looking for a snug pair of overpriced tracksuit pants with a dope camo pattern, these bad Larry’s are the pants for you. If you reminisce the sound of a busy mall on an early Saturday morning consisting of grandparents on a brisk walk in their finest tracksuit, then you will feel right at home. These don’t fit well, and are so loud they aren’t usable. Unfortunately, I already took the tags off and tried to use them, so I can’t return them. I definitely won’t spend anymore money here.

Very pleased

I just returned from a campout where everyone seemed to get ticks but me. I used a little bit of DEET on my shoes but I otherwise relied on these pants plus socks from InsectShield. My only, tiny complaint is that they don't have a left rear pocket. Outdoor wear needs as many pockets as possible.

Great pant

These pants actually fit like normal pants, legs are not super baggy. The material is thin and breathable. I bought the other gaurd pants prior but they were baggy and thicker which for an insect material we will be wearing them in hot weather. These are the better of the 2 for comfort

The loudest pair of pants

These are, bar none, the loudest pair of pants I have ever owned. If you wanna wade through the woods replicating the sounds of the late 80’s sound of grandparents wearing track suits while speed walking the mall then these are the pants for you.

Durability:Silence

Used for Spring Turkey hunting in S. Texas, brush busting was required to get to secret spot. Held up better than equinox guard hoodie while busting through Cedar and some viney entanglements. They were quite for the durability. My steps were louder than my leg “swoosh”. Kept me mostly dry and cool, it has been 70-90 and humid. Would recommend👍

One of the best/most comfortable hunting pant I’ve worn. Great for warm conditions.

Good pants

I have worn these pants a couple times and they are very comfortable. The only two issues I have are the zipper is a little short, could be longer. I am a 33 waist so I ordered a 34. The 34 is loose around the waist and causes the waist band to bunch up. The pant is a great fit everywhere else so I am keeping them. I have done a couple hikes around my local outdoor archery range and had zero issues.

Not like the original

These are only a lite version of the new pro pant. They are not better for hot weather when compared to the original. This version eliminates the side zip vents and the slash pockets. This unfortunately falls short of being better than the original or comparable. The fit is the same

Nice, but. . .

Pants are ok thin and light that's the good part. But I may send them back due to the fit. Around the waist is good but if you have larger quads they become form fitting and turn into skinny jeans.

It's a nice fit but I haven't tested the bug detergent abilities yet.
