Best choice to wear as a base layer for those cool day sits. Thick enough to trap in the heat but not bulky under pants or bibs. Best thermals out there! Most important part of insulating is the core base layer and these heavyweight bottoms definitely insulate.

Just buy it! you know u want to or you wouldn’t even be reading this. If you are reading this it’s because you’re stalling. It’s comfortable, fits amazing, and even makes u shoot more game it’s just a proven fact. If moneys the problem do it anyway you won’t regret it. If your wife is the problem either get a new wife or deal with the consequences because like I said it’s worth it. I am off highway / grid in interior Alaska. These are by far the warmest, best fitting baselayers I have found yet. I’ll be ordering more, as well as some mid weight as I could see these being too warm in mild temps say 20-30°+ if active. Not sure on longevity yet, but feel good and well made.

These heavyweight base layers are perfect. The highest of quality (exactly as we expect from Sitka). Both the comfort and fit are unmatched. And what’s absolutely clutch is the versatility; I’ll use them to stay warm in the bitter cold, but I’ll also use the top as a stand-alone in mild conditions. I have multiple light, mid and heavyweight base layer sets, but these are easily the ones that get used most. Runs true to size.
