Heavy Weight Hoodie

Love it, use it for every day use. Glad you guys expanded the color line. At first I didn't like the full face zip, but when I actually needed it, it made perfect sense. I would love to see this hoodie with the old apex hoodie "kangaroo pouch". I love that feature when sitting in the stand using my phone or a call, easy to store it right away.

Heavyweight Hoody

I love the Heavyweight Hoody/Deep Lichen. I have several of these in assorted colors and it is a go-to mid-layer in cool to cold conditions and an outer layer in warmer weather. The fleece is warm, and I like the versatility of the hood. This has become a favorite since I ordered the first one. The hoody is extremely comfortable. The fit matches the description. I am 5’9”, 160, 32-33 waist. I ordered a medium and it fits slightly loose. Like all Sitka products it is well made. The versatility of the shirt is what makes this one of my favorite shirts.

Worth it

I just got into sitka gear within the past year. Always more than i wanted to pay, but took a chance on some clearance items i could afford. Wow!! Love this stuff. I believe it is well worth it. Well made an fits right and warm!!

I would wear this 7 days a week as an outer layer if it was a bit tougher. It is perfect over a T-shirt for fall and no wind winter days in Texas. The name is misleading. The warmth factor is heavyweight, as a middle layer, but it’s not in a hoodie class in the traditional sense. It is PERFECT in cold, blowing, light rain/snow weather, under my Jetstream. It did start piling as soon as it got stressed (under a motorcycle jacket against some tough material) and with backpack straps directly on the material. I love the pocket, the hood, the long tail.

Solid color hoody for everyday

I pick these up when they go on sale, The right amount of comfort and warmth and a great base layer. Why support the anti hunters and tree huggers companies , pick up these when they go on sale, Wish they would just make normal everyday solids in more of the items.

I wear this hoody almost every day. I have it in blue, green and black. Comfortable, zippered you get to hot and a hood with plenty of face coverage for windy days.

Surprisingly large but still very nice

I really like my heavyweight hoodie and intend to get more in other prints. I was a little surprised at how big it is. I ordered a large which is my typical Sitka mid-top layer size. It’s very large and if you are going to use it as a base layer and want tight close to skin feel I would size down. I don’t mind that I have a large size I will wear it as a top layer in cooler conditions but in the future will order a smaller size. Finally the material is very soft and seems to be of good quality.

It is exactly what you expect from this Brand (and honestly for this price), warm comfortable and as far as I have seen durable. I absolutely love the longer cut on the back that keeps my buttcrack covered even with a lot of movement. Somehow the other big brand with a dead bird on it cant get that done.

Super Warm

Hoody is super warm and I’m glad I caught it on sale to up my midlayering for this next year. Runs a bit big through the midsection compared to the fit in the chest and shoulders for me.

Favorite Layering Piece

I’m an avid hunter and hunting guide here in Idaho. I hunt every condition known to man and with all weapons. This piece is either on my body or in my pack on almost every hunt. If you could only have one layering piece besides your base layer or insulation (down or synthetic), this would be my choice every single time. You want one, I promise.

So at first I was like "this is a heavy weight hoody?" The reason is it seems light and kind of thin material. But the more I wear it the more I understand the name. It's very warm and holds up well to repeated wear. It's the kind of hoody that you could wear everyday.

Great late season gear.

I added a 2nd heavyweight hoodie for late season geese in NW Ohio. I sized up to use it as a mid layer and it’s working as well as I hoped in the sub zero wind chills we’ve been getting.

Elected to get this over the fanatic hoodie because I would hardly utilize the front pouch and don't want the bulk around my wrists with the hand warmer part of the sleeve. It's unfortunate the tall options are only available in EVII, because I feel the LT would be the best size for me. 6'2" 210 athletic build. XL is just a tad big.
