Wish I purchased this jacket sooner!!!

I originally purchased the Delta Pro Wading Jacket but returned it, as I failed to realize it was intended only as an outer shell. I was specifically looking for a jacket that was both waterproof and would provide substantial warmth for later seasons, and the Hudson Jacket has not disappointed in wet weather, cold weather, or any weather. For the fit, I can confirm it is true to size. I am 5'10", 180lbs, and I went with the Large, which has enough room for me to comfortably wear my Traverse Hoodie underneath for those cold morning hunts.

I have had this jacket for several years and I rarely wear it. Very disappointing. An XL was too big and a L unfortunately is too small. Arms are long and tight in the body. It is not warm and very tight if you wear extra layers. For the cost, even on sale it, was expensive for a "windbreaker" with a weird fit.

Got a Chene for Christmas. Tried it on one hunt and sent it back. Back the timber hudson. Now have Marsh and timber. Beat damn jackets out there.

I wore it out for the first time in the rain and I was completely soaked my chest pockets had water in them my under shirt was soaked not 100% waterproof like they said

Warm and waterproof

Finally got a chance to wear the Hudson this past weekend in freezing rain. Had a couple light layers under it and it kept me warm and dry. Thankful for the purchase

Hudson jacket

Jacket fits super weird. I wear everything in an xl as far as tops go. This is tight in the shoulders loose in the waist. It’s supposed to be flexible but feels like I can’t move my arms in it. In my opinion it is not warm at all once the weather gets 30 or less my Dakota hoody is warmer. And because of the fit I can’t wear it over the Dakota hoody. The zipper hangs up all the time. If you’re looking for a rain jacket it does that well but it is not a cold weather jacket in my opinion.

Layers requires

Great jacket but not warm. Disappointed that I need a very warm liner to wear in 35-40 degree temps.

Waterproof and warm

Horrible when it rains. The neck collar wicks the rain right down your chest. The hood should be like the new Blizzard Pro. It wraps around and connects with the jacket itself therefore allowing the rain to run down the outside of the jacket. And the wrist always leak down your arms. They don’t seal properly. This is my second Hudson. Even in a light to moderate rain, I’m still getting wet. 52 years of hunting the south Louisiana marshes and the fields of Oklahoma. I was thinking about getting this Blizzard Pro but I’m not convinced that it will keep me dry and warm. IN MY OPINION…

Warm and Dry!

This jacket keeps you warm and dry on days where the weather is is only great for ducks.

Lack of pockets, weird sizing

For the money, this jacket should be loaded with pockets for waterfowl hunting. The absence of lower slash pockets is hard to get used to. I also had to buy an XL and XXL to see what fit me better. I ended up keeping the XXL, but I've done the same thing with other Sitka items. Sometimes the XL fits, sometimes I have to get an XXL. If this jacket wasn't on sale, I'd have returned it. So far, it has been ok, as we have not encountered any bad weather this season. We'll see how it does with upcoming storms.

Nicest waterfowl jacket I have

Nicest waterfowl jacket I have owned. Great material, super light, kept me warm in below freezing North Dakota weather, extremely durable. I bought a little bit bigger than I would have liked but I have no complaints.

Jacket is exactly what I needed. I have used a handful of times in warmer weather. Next week it will be put through the tests. It fits perfectly over my Duck Oven, but haven’t had to hunt that way yet…. Hopefully soon.

Great product

You will never know what being completely waterproof and windproof will do for you until you try it. If you hunt big open water and are tired of being soaking wet by the time you arrive at your spot in the lake or if you hunt in wet conditions the Hudson bibs and jacket is almost a must. I can't believe I suffered for so long without it. Great product, recommend.

This jacket absolutely rocks! Super warm and well-made. The only thing I’m curious about is how the open side chest pockets will handle heavy rain (no zippers to seal them). Still, it’s easily one of the best jackets I’ve owned. Highly recommend!
