Very nice coat. Fits well and handles temps down to low 20’s before needing layers underneath. I do wish it had a set of lower pockets behind the shell pocket.

A December Alaskan sea duck hunt

I purchased this jacket for a December sea duck hunt in the Aleutian Islands. This terrific jacket proved to be perfect for the windy, rainy, sleeting, snowy weather without being too bulky.

Great Jacket, does everything I need

Plenty warm; typically the only jacket I need in temps above around 35 degrees, but during colder times I can easily fit an extra layer or two under it for extra warmth. Great pocket quantities and locations. Additionally, the jacket always blocks the wind, and I hardly ever feel the wind blowing on me unless it’s on my face when the wind is coming at me. Very high quality product, definitely worth the money.

As usual this is a well built piece of gear. The coat is great for colder hunts with room to layer up if necessary. Totally dry in rain and snow. Pockets allow for all the storage you may need. Well designed !!

Love the jacket. It’s got a little liner to keep you warm but it’s not bulky you don’t have to wear much under it to slow you down trying to shoulder your shotgun. It’s water proof… what more does a duck hunter need? I’ve hunted my previous Hudson for 7 seasons (average 30 days a year) and it’s still going strong. Just got a new color this time.

Zipper

Zipper gets snagged constantly on inside flap. I’ve had 3 older Hudson’s and this seems like a lighter zipper liner inside

Top Notch

Warm without being bulky and amazing performance in wet weather. Can’t recommend this coat enough. My only gripe is how noisy the fabric is, you wouldn’t be able to use it for bowhunting.

What more can I say I love this jacket. I’m 230lbs 6’ tall. I’m wearing an XL and it fits perfectly.

Been duck and goose hunting in south Louisiana for my entire life and have gone through more hunting gear than I’d like to admit. This is hands down the best jacket I’ve ever worn. From wading across the marsh and rice fields to chasing hogs across the Atchafalaya, this jacket does it all. While it feels light it packs a huge punch in terms of warmth. The durability is second to none and every feature seems to have been carefully thought out by people who actually hunt. This is indeed the perfect jacket.
