Why We Made This

Long sits in frigid, wet weather can be downright miserable. By upgrading our Incinerator Jacket to an innovative synthetic insulation that uses trapped air to replicate the warmth and compressibility of down, we’re able to significantly reduce bulk and add warm-when-wet performance. The reduced bulk cuts weight while greatly increasing mobility in the stand. A quiet, waterproof brushed face fabric keeps noise from movement to a minimum.

The Sitka Incinerator jacket and bibs are 110% warm, but I am 110% unhappy with the noise they make. They stick to the tree and are very loud when you pull away from it. If you're leaning against the tree and a deer walks up, good luck being quiet. NOT HAPPY WITH THE PURCHASE!

Reviewed On 01/20/2023

One of my favorite Sitka purchases. This jacket is pack-able rainproof and warm. In cold weather I can walk slow for a 1/2 mile and not sweat. However, if it gets colder than 35 degrees I need to add a mid-layer for insulation. It only got down to 17 degrees this past season so I'm not sure how it does in frigid temps, but it does the trick in the upper teens with a heavy base layer, and insulating layer. I actually got more use wearing this in 35-45 temps with rain or on hunts with a chance of rain. The pockets are warm and deep. I wear thin Traverse gloves year round with this jacket and simply place a hot hands in the pockets and my hands did not get cold.

I hunted the 22' MN Late Deer hunt that had weather dipping down to -15 and with wind gusts up to 45 mph at times, luckily I had just received an entire Sitka setup...

Literally 2 days before the hunt I received the Incinerator Jacket & Bibs, Jet Stream jacket, Stratus pants, Merino heavy weight top & bottoms, Neck Gaiter, Incinerator Muff as well as the Incinerator Flip Mitt and I can honestly say that not once did I get cold, chilled, or even wet from the frigid snow rain & wind.

Just a true testament the with a great base / mid / outer layer combined together I was the most comfortable ever as well as with incredible heat & ventilation in the Sitka gear compared to all the previous hunting gear I've tried in the past!

True you can say it's pricey but dang is it Great gear, I have since gotten rid of just about anything in my hunting apparel that isn't Sitka.

Thank You Sitka!!!

I finally got my jacket and the next day I went to the forest. The temperature was -17 degrees, a strong wind of 12 meters per second and a lot of snow. I spent 6 hours in the forest and walked 8 kilometers. The jacket is just amazing! It perfectly protects from wind and snow and I was not cold in it, although I was only wearing thin thermal underwear and Ambient. Very comfortable large outer hand pockets with thick Berber fleece for warmth! Also, it is very good that there is an inside zippered pocket in which you can put your car key. Thank you SITKA for a thoughtful and functional item!

At 6'4" and 260lbs, the 2xlt is perfect and I can get a base and midlayer underneath. This coat is exceptional. In PA during rifle season, you could get rain, cold wet snow, or just cold. This coat is great when wet weather could be an issue. It is like wearing a sleeping bag in the woods. If you're walking a long distance or at any rate of speed, you'll want to pack this coat in. It is warm. It is lightweight compared to my Bass Pro stuff and it is significantly warmer. I've been in this sitting for hours when the weather was in the high 20's. This coat is legit. During those quiet days in the woods, I have been busted with the slight noise this coat makes when hunting archery. My kids have the Fanatic system which would be great if rain and snow weren't an issue. That coat is deadly quiet and warm, it just doesn't have the waterproofing.

The coat in conjunction with the bibs has proven well worth the purchase. I have used down to 18 degrees so far and have been well pleased with the comfort and warmth. I hunted for two days in 18-19 degree weather and windy conditions and they never failed me. I would recommend these to anyone who is serious about hunting in the cold weather. I found them and the bibs to be a little bulky and possibly I should have ordered one size smaller. They leave plenty of room for base layers and normal hunting pants. Through the years I have bought several systems and finally feel I have found something that will carry me through many years.

I want to love it, but for the money I can’t.

Fit is good, material is great, it’s warm,… but I’m forced to wear these with the bibs. The bottom quarter of the jacket has no insulation, the poor kidneys. Sure, the bibs would cover this, but not with regular pants. Removable hood would be nice

This jacket material on the blizzard cut would be a winner.

Being in PA, rifle hunting season can be brutally cold and the wind does not make it any warmer! This is exactly what you need in order to be protected from wind the frigid temps. Could not have been happier. This is the first time in years that I have not left the stand because of being cold. This is the answer and worth the price of admission.

This is the best hunting coat I could have ever asked for. I hunt cold weather in treestands and this keeps me warm and comfortable. The pockets are great with plenty of room and I really like the deep interior pockets to drop items in quick and forget about them when reaching for my bow. Fit is normal for size. The grunt tube pocket and rangefinder/small binocular front pockets are nice as well. I splurged and finally got the Incinerator bibs as well and they are great also. The only thing I don't like is the hood. It rolls up when your not using it and it catches tree bark at times. It would be better as a snap on removable hood. I'm a disabled veteran with a budget and it was a lot to spend this much money but I'm in the stand with my gear organized and toasty. It was worth it for me.

Okay so I am a waterfowl hunter at heart but I do hunt turkey and big game. I needed something for sitting for long period in the stand where you can't stomp around like you can hunting fowl. Got both the Incinerator and Blizzard jackets to compare thinking incinerator for whitetail and Blizzard for misc cold days. So now after owning and wearing both I personally think the Incinerator is one heck of a piece of kit. Pockets where you need em, wamth beats Primaloft Blizzard imo and you stay dry from the elements ( sweat a bit walking). This jacket is a must have for multi season hunters in the cold. I'm from Ontario Canada so I def know the cold and this jacket is worth its weight in the forest that for sure!

I have used the previous versions of this set and I am writing as a long time user of the Incinerator line. The only downside I can see is the noise which is common with Goretex fabrics. I have used the Browning and Cabela lines with similar results as far as noise. I put these to the test on a recent Midwest hunt with high chilly winds and cold temps and they did not let me down. It is like anything else in life quality comes with a price. I learned the hard way not to skimp on your hunting clothing.

This IS warmer than the fanatic IMO. Better tailored w/out so much extra material too. I recommend tossing it in the dryer with a bunch of tennis balls on no heat mode. Will help get the initial noise out of the gore laminate. That said it's very quiet. Anyone that would blame this garment for “too loud” is just too loud in the stand, period. Sit still! Why 4 out of 5? I think there should have been even more BACK insulation for the price. Leaning against the tree leads to a cool back in all coats but for $650 i had hoped for more. That said its my favorite deer coat by far due to all the other well thought out features

It is a warm jacket and very lightweight but the hood is tiny. It literally doesn't fit on my head and I have a normal sized head. I cut the hood off because it was pointless. Normally I would just say whatever, but if I'm paying almost $700 for a jacket, I expect the hood to at least fit on my head. If you look at the pictures provided by Sitka, you can almost tell that it doesn't even fit the model well. It's designed poorly. It slowly pulls back and takes your hat off. Also, one of the zippers broke after less than a year of use.

I have read the reviews on this Jacket and Bib. I'm going to give the straight honest opinion. You cannot sit in -5°F weather with just this system on. It requires the entire layering system. You need to start with a good base, a middle insulation system and then use the Incinerator to keep it all covered. It is still by far the best outer shell that i have ever worn. You can probably get away with just the incinerator to about 25°F in the north and 32°F in the south.

The Incinerator jacket and bibs might be the best piece of gear I own now, I’ve worn this set on days anywhere from 50 degrees to below 10 degrees depending on what I want to layer underneath. Really impressed with how it handles wet weather, and wind. I wanted something less bulky because I hunt out of a saddle, and whole the fanatic series is great for sitting in a tree stand harness but it’s to bulky with the saddle. The Incinerator was absolutely perfect, and it was awesome for slipping the pant legs into my 18” Lacrosse Aero boots. Overall it’s a must have piece of equipment for me now. Great jacket. Recently purchased this for the rare cold morning in south east Texas. Used last week in 38°F, 95% humidity, 5-8 mph east wind. Paired with UA3.0 base, Sitka light long crew, Sitka medium hoody. Nice and warm for first 2.5 hours. Did feel the cold slightly more in the last 2 hours of the sit. I’m 5 10, 225lbs and the XL is perfect and allows room for layers without restriction. It’s not a magic bullet, buts a solid jacket. In my opinion the cost is higher than the value after 1 hunt, but if your standing in the rain, being warm and dry would make it worth the $.

Was very hesitant on buying this jacket for the price and because I've tried on the Fanatic Jacket which feels and looks warmer. A Sitka rep assured me this is the warmer jacket so I committed. I wanted to "test" it per say and so I only wore a base layer, the thin hoody they sell and this jacket. I hunt in Upstate NY and the morning temp was 18°F with a 5-10mph wind and I was so toasty. Now I will say after about 2-3 hours I started to get ever so slightly chilled, but not enough for me to throw in the towel. Our bodies are designed to shiver when we're cold and no gear system will be 100% if you're not moving. I also paired this with the Incinerator Bib. I only wore one base layer under the bib. I do wish they made this in a taller size as I am 6'4, 210lbs and have a thin frame. I ordered the XL jacket with the LT bib and while roomy, I would prefer to have the extra room for layers. Worth the money.

Pros: this set looks great and the functionality is top notch. Pockets everywhere, pockets are lined with a synthetic type wool and full zippers on the bibs. Call holder along with range finder pocket on the jacket.

Cons: I bought this specifically to have an extremely warm set of gear. This just simply leaves a lot to be desired. As soon as I pulled it out of the box I could tell it was too “thin” to have much insulation. “Aerolite” tech or not, this stuff is very disappointing in the warmth dept. I have a cheap set of guide gear bibs and coat that are at least as warm as this and was only $280 for the set. If you want a nice, thin set of gear, you will like this. If you are looking for a warm set of gear you will be very disappointed, especially after the price tag.
