I ordered the fanatic first but sent it back and got this instead because I thought this jacket would be warmer and didn’t really like the small amount of areas that would pick up burrs on the fanatic. I actually believe the fanatic would truly be warmer. However, these are nice and fit well. I’m 5’9 and 200 lbs, I know I could get one layer underneath but wearing 2 layers might be pushing it.

It’s warm and well designed. Feel like it’s short in the arms and length of the torso. I’m 6’6 240 xxl was to big in the chest and stomach, xl is tighter in the shoulders with baselayers and insulation layer. Wish this came in a tall or just made slightly longer…

Sitka incinerator review

It felt great out of the bag. The warmth level is amazing dont need much for layering. I recommend this for late season hunting in the stand or ground blind.

DO NOT BUY SITKA INCINERATOR AEROLOYE

I thought that I was buying the best whitetail hunting jacket and bibs that money could buy. Boy, was I wrong. Yes I spent a ton of money to only be stuck with a jacket and bibs that are so loud, you will not want to use it for whitetail hunting. What gets worse, is that the jacket gets louder as the temperature gets colder. The main issue is that the zipper backer flaps and the jacket hood have a rigid material that makes a ton of noise if moved. The best way I can describe it- it sounds like you are crumpling a lawn and leaf garbage bag. Another way to describe it - it sounds like breaking nacho chips. I notified Sitka of the issues and my disappointment but the best they offered me was a discount to buy more Sitka Gear. Be warned, do not buy this gear unless you want it for a use that noise does not matter.

Proven for close to a decade now , I’ll buy again

I love this gear, proven on 1 late fall moose hunt in September . Pouring rain and foggy, sat and waited for nearly 7 hours to bag my spike fork moose! Stayed bone dried underneath but outer was soaked and I started to shiver over the long wait. Without this wonderful gear jacket and bib I wouldn’t have been able to endure the cold.

I purchased the set, -15 degree last weekend if deer season. I had on a thin base, medium base layers, bib and jacket. Sat for 4. 5 hours shot a deer. Stayed comfortable!

Customer service rep was great helped me make the right decision about sizing. The fitment for me is perfect. Large jacket and bibs. 5 feet 8 inches tall, 155 pounds. Bibs still allow me to have plenty of room to proper layer depend depending on the time of the year. The kit is extremely effective, blocking the wind, extremely warm, great quality craftsmanship with the zippers, very quiet even with it it’s wind proofing capabilities. Very pleased and have told many others to make the same investment for Midwest, Illinois Whitetail hunting.

Great jacket for cold weather whitetail hunting. Expensive, but can't find anything to compare to this level. Fits more snug than blizzard parka, which is great for bow use. Well thought out, well designed.

Nice jacket

Jacket is nice and comfortable but not warm. I had a base layer on and sat in 25 deg weather and I was freezing. Seems like it has missing pockets of insulation. I haven't been this cold in a long time. I've sat in single digits in other gear and not been cold. For the cost I thought it would actually be warm.

I recently bought the Incinerator Aerolite Jacket for some late-season hunting trips in chilly, windy conditions, and it exceeded every expectation. This thing is insanely lightweight—feels like wearing a cloud—but packs serious warmth with its Corelite insulation. I stayed toasty even during a multi-day backcountry hunt in near-freezing temps without overheating when hiking. The fit is spot-on: trim but not restrictive, with a hood that adjusts perfectly and seals out wind. The fabric is super durable yet quiet, which is crucial for stealth in the field. After a few rugged outings, no signs of wear, and it's held up through rain and brush without a hitch. Pricey? Sure, but worth every penny for the performance. If you're serious about cold-weather gear, this is your go-to. Highly recommend!

The zipper gets stuck

Very nice jacket but the zipper gets caught on the fabric and is terrible to pull up or down. You might as well put it over your head. I do not recommend.

The Incinerator Aerolite Jacket is a beast of a jacket for those cold Colorado mornings. The combination of GORE-TEX and Primaloft Gold with Cross Core insulation keeps in warm and dry in snow, freezing rain and biting wind without feeling like I'm wearing a bulky parka.

Got this coat post season, but wore it outside once. Very warm, very comfortable. Not heavy to wear.

Great warm jacket. . . but

Great jacked with great insulation capabilities and mobility. Zipper can be a bit challenging getting caught in the cloth layers. You need to be very aware when zipping up, otherwise, you will get it caught.

Awesome jacket, it’s what you expect to get from Sitka. Very warm and extremely quiet. The first one I ordered had a bad zipper on it which I’ve never had from Sitka, the replacement works perfectly.

Lightweight

I was very happy with the incinerator jacket. I hunted north west Wisconsin in February with a temp of 0 and warm of 10. I had one layer on underneath and was very warm while moving around. Incredibly light weight for hiking through snow and the woods.

Great jacket minus 1 flaw

The Jacket is awesome! It keeps me super warm and dry while not feeling bulky compared to puffy competitors. Range of motion is great even when saddle hunting. I get cold easily so if you do as well, drop the cash and stay in the hunt longer! One huge flaw. The zipper. 75% it works. 25% you spend 2-3 minutes trying to get the zipper past a certain point in the process, which if you pack the jacket in and try and put it on in the woods, it’s not exactly quiet when you’re doing the zipper song on your zipper guitar. Hopefully Sitka reads this and tells me they have a fix for this zipper and send me a new jacket, but time will tell.

Overall fit

Coat is warm as expected, but the fit is bad. I’m 6’4, 240 lbs and in relative good shape. Muscular, lean build. Fit in shoulders and arms is perfect. However, I could swim in the stomach area. Personally feel, especially in this price point, you should have fitting options for taller, leaner builds. Not all 2xl customers are fat asses. Everything else i have from Sitka made for the upper body fits far better than this. Kinda disappointed.
