Jets team Jacket

This is my third Jetstream jacket. This one is blaze orange and its fit and finish is excellent as usual. Highly recommend this jacket style for hunting when the temperature is above freezing. I have used my optics pattern jacket for many years here in Alaska for moose, sheep and deer hunting.

JETSTREAM

Haven’t had a chance to test it out in the field yet. So far very comfortable, quiet, warm when properly layered, and breathable when you need it. Definitely going to be in the bag for 2025 season.

This jacket is very good to walk in with the zipper underneath the armpit to vent heat. The wind block is also nice for warmth.

Really awesome jacket; A necessary layer

I love this jacket so much I have 3 of them. One in elevated 2, one in green, and one in the new blaze orange and optifade split. I wear a size medium but it doesn’t allow for much room to layer other than a merino baselayer and the heavyweight hoody comfortably. This year I purchased the split color in large so I could wear my base layers along with my heated vest or my midi jacket. I personally like to layer up with multiple thin layers which in my opinion give me more freedom of movement rather than bibs and bigger jackets because I do a lot of walking while in the mountains rather than stand hunting. I personally with the price could come down some on the jetstream which I think would allow for more hunters on the fence about pulling the trigger make the commitment. I’m always looking for deals and have had a lot of success over the years finding sale, clearance and close out discontinued Sitka items to complete my systems for different uses. Definitely recommend!

Workhorse

If you had to pick one jacket from Sitka, here’s the top candidate. This jacket blocks wind, is easy to layer under, sheds rain and snow, and is also quiet. From mild whitetail sits in October to subzero active pursuits in November, this jacket performs.

Mostly Great

Lighter weight than expected but roomy enough for layering. Biggest downside is the cuffs. Definitely need some sort of closure to keep them out of the way.

Great Hoodie, Fits and Looks Fantastic

I'm lovin it! It's plenty long in the sleeves and even has a little extra length in the back which is nice. The hood fits well around my head without being too tight or restricting my view. So far have just worn it casually but I plan to use it to layer during cold weather hunts in the future. Great product from Sitka as usual.

Perfect Pheasant Hunting Jacket

Jacket is the perfect amount of warmth for walking while pheasant hunting.

Good buuut…

Just started but Sitka gear and I’m very pleased with it all. This is a good jacket for outside layer blocking wind and light rain. 4 stars for the fit. Wish they made this in 2XL Tall. Sleeves are a little short otherwise great quality. 6’4 250lbs

Short Arms

Not sure if it how these were made but the arms run a little short. I bought an XL and tried a double XL but it fit very weird. I’ll give the jacket a real try during spring bear this coming year and see how it goes.

Works well from 45*F to 65*F with just a shirt underneath. With layers it can get as cold as you want. Impervious to wind. Very quiet. Wear it to the office or the blind. Get one.

Sitka Jetstream

I had an opportunity to use this jacket hunting pheasants in Iowa shortly after purchase and there is no doubt that the jacket does do a very nice job cutting the wind. I bought the blaze orange color way intent on using it during rifle and muzzleloader seasons at home and out West as well a upland piece. I would absolutely recommend sizing up if layering up the piece is an option that you’d like to have at your disposal. I am about 6’ and 155 lbs and based on my measurement profile a medium was in order. After having received it there was little doubt that a larger size was needed if any active insulation was to be layered into the system. A large fit the bill perfectly. I am anxious to see how it performs while chasing big game, but from the use it has been subjected to thus far I have been very impressed.

Haven’t had a chance to truly test it. Seems like a good jacket. I tried my layering system under it and it fits tight. I am wondering if I should size up, but it’s close and the size up might be too big.
