The Kelvin Aerolite is one of my favorite pieces of Sitka! It’s not restrictive by any means and can move in it as easily if not more then I can a hoodie and is super warm!! Me and my wife went to go on a hike and when we stopped the truck at the trail head and got out then it was colder then what she was expecting it to be….. it was around 30degrees and my wife is one that you could set in the sun with a blanket and she would be cold!! But I looked in my back seat and grabbed the Kelvin Aerolite for her to use…… about an hour into the hike my wife pulled her hand out from one of the pockets and put it to my face…. It was warm and she told me she needed one of these for herself!! I have 3 of these now and it is definitely what I grab for a hunt or hike! Even if I put it in a back pack just to have on hand! It packs away small and is just a great jacket!!

This is another great jacket from Sitka. Very warm and looks/feels great. Packs up so small and easy. Two things to beware of here though. I am 6’2” and weigh 220. I ordered an XL and it swallowed me. Had to send back for L which fits perfect. So I would say it runs a little bigger compared to past Sitka gear I have ordered. Also the only reason it loses a star is how prone this jacket is to staining. I love the coyote I got but anything that gets on it must be scrubbed immediately and even then small little stains seem to still stay. If I had it to do over again I may have went with a camo pattern to at least hide these small botches easier. Still a fantastic piece overall and possibly most versatile piece I own.

I use this for hiking and everyday wear, but I will definitely be taking it with me to Montana on my upcoming elk hunt. Fits well over a t-shirt but also has plenty of room to fit over other layers for much colder weather.

I have two of these jackets, one for going out with my wife (solid color) and one for hunting (camo). They are incredible in terms of how warm they are and how small of a space they pack into. They run perfect to size - I am 5 feet 10 inches tall and very slim - I am in between medium and large. For going out with my wife, I have a medium. For hunting (where I layer underneath), I have a large. Truly the best jacket I have ever purchased.

Glad to see Sitka finally use a top tier Primaloft product instead of tier 2 and 3. In other pieces Sitka has used tier 2, 3, and even 4 Primaloft, while keeping pricing at premium Primaloft dollars (increases margins, but not wise customers). I have many Sitka pieces for many different pursuits, and have had to use competitors for superior insulating pieces. This aerolite jacket has potential. It is lightweight and warm, but not a wet environment replacement for a down puffy for brutally cold days and/or long sits. The fit is also a bit baggy, even over a base and heavyweight mid/base layers. I am 5 10, 195, 44 chest, 32 waist. Intended use is late season waterfowl, spring turkey and bear in high country, and caribou/moose.

This jacket is incredibly lightweight yet super warm. Just got done with duck season in California and couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Wore the jacket and thin merino wool base layer and was plenty warm at 42-45 degrees. Had to unzip when setting up decoys as it got a little too warm.

This jacket it very warm , light and comfortable but it's basically made of paper and rips very easily when worn as the outter layer . If you're going to purchase this as an outer layer I highly suggest buying a patch kit and leaving it in the jacket because you'll need it.

I found this jacket for around $150 which is at least 50 percent off. I love it for that price point, but if I had paid the full $325 it normally goes for I would be disappointed. $325 is too much for the weight and warmth of this. As much as I hate to put a bad review on a product, sometimes we have to, otherwise manufacturers won’t make improvements. This jacket has a lot of positives, it’s light, comfortable, excellent wind protection, mobility is great, it just feels great when wearing it, then why my 3 stars, the zipper, it just constantly gets stuck on the upper section of the fabric every time I have to zipper it up all the way, it happens so many times that today I just ended up ripping it, I hope Sitka look into this and make improvements, because other than that it’s truly an amazing jacket; but the skinny stupid zipper ruined it for me. I can’t recommend it because of this, maybe other people didn’t have this issue, but this is my honest review. I own lots of Sitka stuff and I will be reviewing them soon, most are top notch stuff.

This is an excellent jacket. I recently wore it underneath my Jetstream jacket on a very cold (~20 deg F) and windy (10-25mph) day, the two are a winning combination together. The aerolite jacket barely feels like it is there, it compresses down to a minuscule size when you don't need it, and has just enough features to be immensely useful. I would not wear it as a standalone jacket, as that would not be a good use. As a light insulating layer you can keep with you for when you really need it, it excels.
