It’s so light, I wear it under everything because it adds warmth without making your arms bulky and heavy. I’m 5”11 180lbs and had to return the medium I got for a large and it fits good now. Medium woudnt let me zip it up with how tight it was.

Great Suprise

When it first arrived, I was shocked at how thin it was. I was concerned that it would not be what I wanted and would have to return. To my great surprise, it was exactly what I wanted. It had very little bulk but was a perfect insulating layer. I is perfect for keeping the wind out.

This is such a great vest. Wear it as an outer piece on cool days, or use as a baseline on cold days. Love it!

I use it as a base layer or stand alone. Warmth without the bulk or weight and holds up to everyday use like a champ! This is my second one! The first one I’ve had for 3 years and it’s just the same as the day I bought it! Insulation hasn’t balled up after tons of washings one bit!

love it. hands down my most versatile vest. i wear it mostly for waterfowl and it’s just the perfect insulator for the in between temps here in wisconsin. sometimes it’s just a sweatshirt and vest, other days it’s a full jacket over it all but either way this vest holds heat! i also wear it out and about whether it’s dinner or shopping around town.

I bought this vest for everyday use (in a Florida winter) and it has been perfect. Keeps me warm but never overheating. I love that the arm holes are snug to keep the warm air trapped. This has been a perfect combo underneath the mountain jacket to give a little warmth but with protection from the elements.

I have two and I love them. This one I just bought was for my stepmother. She saw mine and wanted one to wear around the house. We bought it as a Christmas present and she loved it. The vest is super warm, light weight and packs nicely.

The vest is either more athletic fit than the jacket or runs smaller. Still a great piece.

Comfortable Fit

Good fit for over the top of a base layer or mid layer. Arm holes are a little tight for over a standard hoodie or really thick/loose mid layer.

Warm and lite

This vest is perfect for layering and just to keep the body temp up in cooler conditions.

Kelvin Aerolite Vest

I have a few kelvin aerolite vests and highly recommend them! I have been a hunting guide for 20 years and stand behind Sitka products! I keep a kelvin vest in all my packs for an extra layer!

Kelvin Aerolite Vest

This vest was developed to replace the Fahrenheit Vest. This is the first Sitka item among the many that I own that I feel to be inferior to its predecessor. It fits entirely different and does not provide the same warmth. It is lighter, fits loosely and simply does not give the sense of efficiency needed. My recommendation and request is to resume production of the Fahrenheit vest.

Worst purchase you can make

I’ve never been a vest guy. Bought this vest to be more of very packable layering item. Well, let’s just say that now it’s all I want to wear. I got it in subalpine, now I’m thinking about buying 2 more. The weight is perfect, warm is excellent, stops enough wind, and is the best feeling vest I’ve ever worn. Will definitely buy another soon.

Happy with how it turned out maybe slightly thinner than I thought but not a negative because it’s also slightly warmer than I thought. Maybeeeee runs just a touch big but pretty true to size, not enough to go down a size.

Good tough vest use it 6 to 7 days a week over hoodies or long sleeves and has held up! No rips or gashes from brush or in and out of blinds. Very happy with this purchase and can clean it up and put it on for going to town on a date! Got to get the blood and dirt off it! It’s not to warm but helps hold head on the core!!

I have a number of Kelvin Aerolite products. The warm to weight factor is fantastic. Easily packs down to a small bundle. Because of this be careful with the exterior it is easily torn and can stain.

Lightest warm vest on the market

This vest is perfect to add to at hoody to keep things light yet warm and super mobile. Also fits nicely underneath my kelvin light jacket. Would highly recommend.
