Definently worth the investment. I previously had the Cabela’s Woolimate pants and jacket. I’d always be cold with them. I decided to bite the bullet and get the Fanatic Bibs and Fanatic Jacket. Best choice I ever made. I’m finally able to pull all day hunts with just a pair of leggings and sweatpants under the bibs! Only reason for a 3 1/2 star was because I think they should have a little more insulation in the knee area.

This is a great piece for the extreme cold conditions during that late season hunt. My reasoning for only giving the 3 1/2 star review is that when I need to put my heavy winter pac boots on the leg zippers do not zip completely closed due to the bulkiness of the bigger boots. I would love to see more elasticity in that part of the bib. Other than that, this piece is essential for any serious late season hunter!

These bibs are super warm. Thank goodness for the full length side zips. Constructed very well and the design was well thought out. The handwarmerd are a great feature and very warm.

If you need to stay warm in the coldest months and aren’t worried about heavy precip or sitting on snow for long periods of time, this is the bib for you. It doesn’t get any quieter than this. Rub against a tree or leaves? Doesn’t matter, no harm, no foul. Windstopper is the best softshell material for hunting. Supple, quiet, blocks wind completely. The Primaloft silver insulation will keep you warm in all but the extreme subzero hunting environments. If you do have need for more waterproof capability? No worries, layer with downpour jacket. Need something warmer? Layer underneath with Celsius system OR go check out the Incinerator. Sitka has you covered.

Incredible wind resistance and warmth. Love them for November hunting in the midwest.

Looks like an awesome product if all the hype is true. Prices are just too expensive unfortunately. Maybe I'll find some used! :)

Wore my entire Fanatic set up tonight in 35 degree rain for 3 hours... it’s not meant to be waterproof, but my under layers weren’t wet one bit. I love this stuff.

This is my got to bibs when the temps hit the freezing digits! By far the warmest set of bibs that I have ever put on and the wind stopper is awesome! You don't feel wind at all absolutely love them!!
Kyle Keegan | 03. 24. 17
Sitka turns clothing into gear. Keeps me in the tree stand all day and with the zipper configuration allows me to keep cool on route to my stand. Best bib on the market for bow hunters.
Huntryx | 02. 13. 17
I bought these bibs toward the end of our 2016 deer season and really never did need them for hunting. When we had a blizzard recently, however, I put them on and did snow removal on my ATV for 2+ hours of 15 degrees/25mph winds. Never even felt the cold. Wow what a great product-- wish I had bought them earlier! Design and fit (buy a size larger than normal--Sitka is sized for the fit young man of 23!) are incomparable. Function is flawless. Bravo Sitka. Worth every penny.

I absolutely love the fanatic bib as well as the entire fanatic series. I own just about every item in the whitetail elevated optifade II line. My one complaint about these bibs is the strap adjuster. I am 6'4 and have to let the strap out as far as it will go. This means that these buckles are now close to dead center on my back. This makes leaning your back against a tree extremely uncomfortable. I was able to fix this by taking it to a tailor and removing the buckles altogether. That being said, Sitka Gear is still the best. I hope this review will allow Sitka to continued improvement on their products.

I went out in 20 degree weather today and did exactly 10 hours in one of my blinds. I wore a UA base layer (all I have right now - use them for motorcycle riding but will be getting merino base layers next) underneath a pair of Equinox pants, and then these Fanatic bibs. Up top I wore another UA base layer (again all I have on hand - can't wait to replace them with Sitka products for hunting!) , a wool sweater, a Fanatic Lite jacket, and a Fanatic vest over top of it all. I was not cold at all. Replacing the UA stuff should allow me to forego the UA stuff and keep the Equinox pants for early season weather only, which they are designed for. I have an Equinox jacket and it is great too. As far as size goes, I am 6' and 235 pounds, and I bought 2XL in everything. I can layer at will, and the Fanatic bibs and vest are top-notch, as are all my Sitka products. One thing I really like is they are very quiet. My rubber-coated binos do not squeak on them when they rest on your chest and you move like some clothing does, which has scared deer away before while I was hunting. So that is a good thing. As others have mentioned, the fabric does attract burs, so if I'm going into that type of area I carry them in strapped to my Toolbucket pack and put them on once I get to my tree or blind, whichever I am using that day. One last thing - it was raining on the walk back out of the woods about 15 minutes) and I did not feel any wetness at all. I did notice it was beaded up on them so the water repellency is pretty effective.

I'm not one to write reviews but after all the research I did and reviews read by others, I felt I needed to share my experience with Sitka. The fanatic series jacket and bib was amazing!! Conditions were 22 degrees, 15-20 mph wind and snow in the mountains of NY. I spent an entire week in these conditions and have never been so warm! I simply followed the layering system, and wow! I had Core lightweight shirt, heavyweight zip-T, fanatic hoody and fanatic jacket. Bottoms I only wore heavyweight bottoms and fanatic bibs, fanatic hat and neck gaitor. This set up was perfect! Thank you Sitka!

Warm, Warm, Warm and as quiet as you can possibly get in a windproof, fully insulated pair of bibs. Pocket placements are fantastic and full length zippers allow you to put them on over boots and also easy heat dump. They are a magnet for anything sticky so I usually pack them in to my stand and put on at the base of my tree.

Great bibs! Comfortable to wear, and I really like the full side zips to vent heat. They seem bulky at first, but the feeling quickly disappears with wear. Quiet and warm, but I held back a half a star wondering about durability of the fabric. Really did not have a chance to wear them much this last season.

I just returned from a bow hunt in Western Kentucky with several days of temperatures in the low 20's with wind chill numbers in the single digits. These bibs, combined with my fanatic jacket, were awesome! I was never cold. The beauty of the fanatic line of gear is the incredible warmth without the bulk. I could comfortably draw my bow in all weather conditions. If you do any late season hunting these bibs are a must have.

These bibs are the real deal. Quiet and warm with great features. Did some late season Ohio whitetail hunting. Wind chill was -11 degrees. I had on a pair of under armor cold gear and these bibs. I was warm and toasty. The wind stopper really works. The only thing I've found to complain about is the front chest pockets are slanted down, which is great for sliding your hands in and out, but they aren't good for holding much. I think I'll see the bottom up for an inch or so and they'll be good to go. I highly recommend these. It's a lot of money but it's money well spent!
Chris | 12. 30. 15
Not enough stars to rate these bibs! So comfortable, easy to get on and off, and not to mention SUPER warm!
Ben | 12. 23. 15
Fanatic series coat and bibs are hands down the warmest and quietest hunting gear I have ever worn. Period. Hunting late season Minnesota whitetail was much more enjoyable without having to worry about getting cold in the stand. Highly recommend!
Grant | 12. 13. 15
Best pair of bibs I have ever worn, without all of the bulk. Sitka hit a home run with this system and all whitetail hunters need it...just stay away from the burrs!
Charles | 12. 05. 15
Really love these bibs. The only reason for 3 stars instead of 4 is because they aren't as quiet as I had hoped. Excellent quality and very warm. Wind is not a factor with windstopper.
Todd | 11. 08. 15
Sitka gear is the best and the Fanactic line is great for hunting when the temps range between mid 20s to mid 50s in my experience. I couldn't be more pleased with my fanactic system. I just wish I had known about Sitka a few years back.
Cory Arnold | 10. 29. 15
hands down the best bibs I've ever worn. perfect for the 25mph gusts with sleet that I experienced this previous evening. The new elevated II pattern is a perfect match to the northern Minnesota hardwoods.
ken | 06. 27. 15
the fanatic bids are the best bids I have worn the fit is great easy on over the boot. lots of pockets for gear and the best is they are windproof!

Beyond the Layers - Athlete Jim Hole Jr.

SITKA Gear | 10.03.2016

In the deep winter freeze of the Alberta Bowzone, where late November temps can reach -40F, there are two considerations legendary whitetail outfitter and SITKA Athlete Jim Hole, Jr. prioritizes: keeping warm and completely silent to mimic the stealth and patience of an owl perched in a tree.
