Merino 330 Glove Reviews

Not quite what I was looking for in a hunting glove.

These gloves may be a good liner or insert, but they weren’t what I was looking for in an hunting gloves. The fabric was too elastic, and the gloves seemed to stretch too much and were hard to keep on.

Not warm

I was very disappointed. I thought they would be warmer going off the performance level. These should be a 1 on the warmth.

Great glove

Like this glove a lot. Wore it into late season so far in mn and keeps my hands nice and warm. I keep em in a muff or pockets till go time but definitely keep the edge off

Great opening day or liner glove.

I usually wear these under my Sitka Windstopper gloves as a liner. In early October i wear them alone. They really soak up perspiration and keep my hands warmer. I have no problems with my bow release using the gloves together. I wear a medium, but my hands aren't very big.

Great layering glove

I purchased these gloves to wear over my fanatic gloves for walking into the stand. They have served my purpose well and I like the grip surfaces throughout the fingertips and palm.

Not what i was looking for

I was hoping for warmer glove.

330 Gloves

Warm gloves for 32F and up. Great liners for 32F and down. Finger tips for touch screen work most of the time. Great tactile sensitivity. Superior workmanship. Well worth the $$ would buy again.

Over rated glove.

When I bought these gloves, I went by the warmth rating for them. It listed 5 stars for them. I don’t think this is a correct rating, because I could only use them in mild temps. I’m glad I went back and bought the “mountain glove”. They are a lot warmer and wind proof. The funny part is, that the mountain glove is only rated 3 stars and these are 5? I will say they are twice as warm as the 330 glove.

Perfect for those 20-40 degree days. On the colder days I combine it with the muff and it is perfect.

Thought they’d be thicker

Not like what the picture shows

These would be great for early to mid-season as they are very thin and more or less just a t-shirt for a glove. The picture on the description they look much thicker or bulkier. Not what I expected but I will use them for early-mid season.

Nice gloves

I have smallish to average hands and the medium fit nicely. They have good grip and are pretty warm. The camo is much whiter than on my Fanatic bibs and jacket.

True to fit

Good stand alone glove gor when the weather is around 45 degrees. Use as a glove liner in colder temps.

Expected a little more thickness

Expected a little more thickness for what the cost was. I feel like they would be fine for light activity but don’t think they’d hold up after to much use.

Not windproof obvious, but very very warm for cold days. It was 30 with some decent wind and it will keep my hands from freezing. For as light as these things are, they are a beast!

Over Rated Glove

Sitka list these gloves as a 5 star for warmth. I totally disagree with this. I used these gloves in temperatures in the low 30 degrees (F). My hands were cold. Thank goodness I had “hot hands” that I could use inside the jacket. I’m going to look at their other gloves for cold weather.

Sizing runs small - Good glove to take the bite of the cold off your hands

I wore these during 2nd Rifle and 3rd Rifle in Colorado with temps ranging from 19 F to 45 F. Pros: Good at wicking moisture; not only sweat but also in heavy snow they got damp but not saturated and dried quickly. My hands did not get cold because of the moisture. Light glove to take the harshness of the cold or wind off the bare skin. Also worked well as a glove liner in my mittens. Cons: I have big hands and usually wear a size XL (my mittens are size XXL to accomodate liners or hand warmers), these run small in size and I really notice it at the seam on the palm that connects the thumb. Definitely size up!

Love these but the XL is too small. Webbing is 1” up my fingers.

Adequate For Cool Weather

Wore these on First Rifle Elk in Colorado and the morning temperatures were in the high 20's to low 30's. These gloves kept my hands warm but I would say they were at their limit. They are better than the Sitka gloves they replaced but I will use them for a liner with the GTX gloves I plan to use for next year's late November elk hunt. I am 6'2" tall and found the large size fit my hands fine. I was hoping that these gloves would work for lower temps but they are adequate for 32 degrees and not much lower.

Too small

Seems like a great glove. I don’t have big hands and usually in a Md or Lg. Got a Lg in these and the webbing a good half inch up my fingers.

Arctic Impression

I wore these gloves on an arctic caribou hunt. It was 36 degrees F out, with 30+ MPH winds. I was driving a jet inflatable boat up and down a river. I tried using neoprene gloves, and a pair of my bigger gloves but my hands got cold. I was using these as an insulation layer until they got wet. Instead of putting back on big gloves, I figured I would tough it out in just these. I can’t express enough how surprised and pleased I was with the level of warmth while wet they kept my hands. I will be buying a couple more sets of them!
