Product Care

Merino wool is a delicate fiber and requires more attention than a synthetic garment.

It is safe to machine wash Merino Wool under a gentle cycle with cold water. Wash with other Merino Wool products of like colors. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners and do not dry-clean.

Tumble dry on low heat or lay flat to dry. MERINO WOOL WILL SHRINK if not cared for properly.

The fit on these is ok, not the best. The fabric is actually pretty soft for Merino. But I think they sacrifice durability in the process of softening. It isn’t the warmest I’ve used honestly and the odor resistance needs some work as well. And the price point just isn’t competitive with what their product is compared to competitors. I own a lot of Sitka and love most of what they own. But I think there is a great deal of improvement needed for their Merino baselayers. I know Sitka will be taking some time to work on this and I applaud them for pulling the line and re-evaluating what they are doing here. I can’t wait to see with what they come up with, and they can be sure they earned my business in giving whatever they come up a try.

Excellent fitting and warm. I have 5 pairs! Guess you can see that I like them. XL fits very well 6'1" and 220 lbs. Works best in 20 - 30F degree temps.

Just like my review of the Merion top, the bottoms make up my base layer till I get to the 20's. It's comfort and design are perfectly suited for the stand and the stalk. This base layer is a loaded home run!

Just like the Merino Zip-T, this is also a critical piece to staying warm and odor free in cold weather. Crucial first layer in my cold weather Sitka system.

Every bit as awesome as the Merino top. The Merino is a must in your Sitka arsenal!!! Best Merino top and bottom I've used and I've used them all. Good job on these Sitka.
