This beast is warm as heck! I was actually TOO HOT on a mountain lion hunt wearing this thing. If you are on the move, take it off. If you are riding snowmobiles or quads in single-digit temps, just pull this thing on and you are all set! Keeping your neck warm is tough in the wind, but this is a great 'necessity' for glassing, sitting in a duck blind or on stand during a rut hunt. As a Gore product tester I try to understand how pieces can work together to maximize function without adding bulk or redundant layers. Couple this with a Sitka Windstopper beanie and you have one heck of an option for cold weather hunts.
