I live in northern Minnesota. Used the neck gaiter as another layer to go outside when it was -40 with windchill. The added warmth allowed me to do tasks outside without having to worry about my skin being exposed. The outer material is durable while the inner lining is comfortable on skin contact and did not freeze from my breathing. This is a great product! P. S. even if you are not a hunter, it is great for snowmobiling as well depending on the type of helmet one has
