Why We Made This

Hunters need the absolute best protection from the chill of long sits in mid-season. We designed the Stratus with GORE® WINDSTOPPER® to create a fully-featured, 100% windproof pant that is optimized for these exact conditions. We utilized micro-grid fleece for its warmth-to-weight ratio, and the articulated patterning gives you a comfortable fit when in a seated position, allowing your legs total range of motion.

Features & Benefits

Complete Windproof Protection

The 100% windproof GORE® WINDSTOPPER® membrane is encased between an ultra-quiet wet-printed microfleece face fabric and an insulating micro-grid fleece interior.

Articulated Patterning

Articulated patterning gives you a comfortable fit for the seated position and frees your legs for a complete range of motion.

Thigh Cargo Pockets

Keep necessities close at hand from a seated position.

Quiet Snap Closures

All snaps are constructed to minimize noise.

WINDSTOPPER® products shelter hunters from the adverse effects of bone-chilling winds. The WINDSTOPPER™ membrane works with our base layers to prevent overheating and perspiration build-up by allowing moisture vapor to easily escape.

An absolute revolutionary product. The windstopper components are a life saver. I've used these pants on a Colorado Elk hunt and i wear them every time I hunt Whitetail in Georgia. They are my go to pair of pants for any cold weather. And I highly recommend them to any Hunter who's legs are the first thing that gets cold

Wore these pants for the first time last night in windy and upper 40 degree air temps. Initial impressions are that I’ve made the right choice in moving from the equinox pants to these. I had two layers on my top and just the stratus on the bottom, my upper body was cool but lower body was warm and very comfortable. The wind stopper is a game changer and the outer of these pants make them super quiet. Cargo pockets in the legs make it super easy to put items inside with easy access and also to put your hands in while sitting down. I’m 5’11” 197 lbs and fit perfectly in a large regular!

So comfortable and quiet!!! My favorite pant for anything under 60 or just hanging around the house on a cold day. I wish they made them in solid colors! I would wear them everywhere.

6'0, athletic build 230lbs., 36" waist and the Large/regular fit perfect. Was originally upset they didn't offer a Stratus bib but now glad I ended up with the pant due to our ever changing Texas climate. Comes with a built in belt unlike the 90% pant which is nice. Haven't tested sub freezing weather but was very comfortable in early morning high 30's without a base layer. Without a doubt all I'll need in our area from mid to late season. Elevated II camo is icing on the cake.

Just received this pair of pants for Christmas. It's like wearing sweatpants to be honest. Great for mid 60's (no layering) to upper 20's (heavy layering). Now I live and hunt in Alabama where we don't have very cold winters but very humid (50-75%) which make it worse. I layer this with two pairs of mid weight long johns and I'm good till 20's. Only advice I give is to order a size larger if you plan on layer to your own preferences because their clothes are "athletic fit" so little room if you order true size.

Fantastic pants! I'm a big guy. Most hunting appearall in my size, XXL, are just way too baggy and simply doesn't fit correctly. Not Sitka Stratus Pants. They fit perfect. I was a little hesitant purchasing my usual size due to the layering aspect, but tried it anyway and glad I did. Not too big, not too tight. I 100% recommend anything Sitka, I've not been disappointed with any of my purchases. Yes, people say their products are pricey, but "Good stuff ain't cheap and cheap stuff ain't good". It's been in the 30's in south GA with 15-20 mph winds, I paired the Stratus Pants with heavyweight core bottoms and haven't once been uncomfortable. Thanks Sitka great product!

These pants are fantastic! Hunting in Michigan, I wore these from October to December. With proper layering and fit, these are all you'll need! The wind stopper tech is truly amazing. While my buddies froze to death, I was warm and comfortable.

Awesome pants! I love the warmth without the bulk. I love the features (quite buttons, fit, integrated belt) super quiet and the wind stopper is the best. I can't imagine not using these.

The Stratus set is by the most versatile set of clothing I have for whitetail. It is perfect for those mid season sits and can take you well into the late season with proper layering. The Wind Stopper feature makes this a very reliable set of clothing. Don't hit the woods without it.

Absolutely superb! When it's all about reducing bulk, and increasing warmth, this is the way to go. Perfect mid season pant. Way warmer than the weight would suggest. Love the quite buttons, pocket placement, integrated belt, and overall fit. You're going to need a wind indicator wearing the stratus set, because you won't be able to feel which direction it's coming wearing these. ZERO wind penetration makes these a must have!

I used these pants throughout the entire Iowa bow season last year. Incredibly versatile. I started out with no base layer underneath for the early season but as it got later into the season, I layered up with the core heavyweight bottoms underneath and that was enough to take me through November and early December. Pockets are tapered well to not snag when walking through the woods and have a silent snap. Surprisingly durable too. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a pant they can wear all season

These will be my go to pants for mid to late season. They're comfortable and well thought out. Love the leather spot to clip my knife on the pocket. That will help these pants last much longer because I always wear a knife. The only issue I have, and this is the reason I deducted 1/2 a star, is the sizing. I am a consistent 32" waist, so I ordered a medium tall. That should range from 31-33". Well they were just too snug.

For me, the new Stratus pants are a vast improvement over the old version. These seem to be lighter and just as warm as the old version. I was happy to see they removed almost all of the lighter polyester type material that was on the old version. The briars loved that stuff. Never used or cared for the boot gaiters on the old version either. Really like the fleece backing in the cargo pockets. I hunt from a tree saddle much of the time. I can stick my hands in these pockets to keep them warm when chilled. Really tough to use the Kangaroo pouch on some other items hunting from the tree saddle. I do not care for the belt they include with all the newer style pants. Especially, on these. It just does not function well. The old Bomber belt works great with them.

Purchased the next to skin undershirts along with the Stratus Pants and Jacket. Everything was sized in XL and fit me as expected. Not tight but close and comfortable. Except for the jacket which I mistakenly ordered in 2XL. Turns out with all the layering the 2XL fit well on the arms but a little baggy in the middle. Long story short, I went out this weekend in 29 Degrees and sat in treestand with no issues. I was warm all day and it allowed me to stay out when others went back to camp to get warm. This resulted in my first ever Whitetail Buck, 10 point on the ground! This system works and I won't wear anything else. Matt North Alabama

I submitted a review on the stratus jacket as well, this system is amazing. I called Sitka for some guidance and fit questions. I am not a skin and bones man and like my gear to function together and work for me. The stratus fit allows for nice layering if you need it and still keeps the function. The set is great so far this year with temps into the 20s. I run a little warm so once it gets above 45-50 I usually switch to the Equinox system. The folks at Sitka put a lot of thought into the gear and it shows. I view their gear like I do my bow and rifles. You get what you pay for and good stuff costs money and great stuff a little more. I have gear from all their collections and have not been disappointed once with the gear or the immaculate customer service.

I was hesitant in paying so much for a pair of pants, but I'd do it again after wearing these bad boys for a few hunting trips. I'm a big guy and hunting pants almost never fit right...these were perfect! The comfort of sweats...but a badass look and great construction...highly recommend!

These have been my go to pant for the season so far with over a dozen sits in them. They fit very comfortably and are very warm for there weight. The Stratus wind stopper membrane cuts the wind very well, making these pants really shine. I have worn them down into the low 30s so far paired with a light baselayer on most days and the heavy weight bottoms over the light base layers on colder mornings. The new fleece is also very quiet as well. In conjunction with the Stratus jacket, Fanatic Hoody, and the ability to add the Shacket underneath the jacket, I will not have a problem wearing this suit into the low 20s before switching to the Fanatic Suit. In fact I will probably be selling the Fanatic to pick up the Incinerator, because the Stratus covers a very large range of temperatures and overlaps well into the Fanatic temperature range in my opinion.

Bought the Stratus set. Tried it on and everything fit like a glove. Can't wait to test these great gear this season.
