Just got back from South Dakota and used my tool bucket for the first time Mule Deer hunting. Super quiet in my blind and I had plenty of room to take what I needed into the field. I love the pack but I would like to see a few things modified. First I wish that they would put thumb loops on the straps to tighten the straps, it would make it easier especially when I am wearing my Fanatic hunting coat. Secondly there are a lot of pockets inside but they are very small. I would like to see fewer pockets on the inside back of the pack that are a little wider so that bigger items can be placed into the pockets. I like the outside drink holder pockets as they fit my thermos so I can carry water without it freezing. Overall a very good pack and I am happy I got it. Looking forward to more hunting trips with the pack!

Great day pack!

This pack is perfect for whitetail day hunts! I can strap on my Fanatic coat and pack a puffy inside along with all my gear for the day. Really like the SA pattern for Maine hunting seasons.

Bigger than I thought but

Bigger than I thought but does everything I need it to do. Great for all day sits and packing the lone wolf or saddle gear in and out. One thing I would change is making a full depth pouch for a camelback.

10/10 very comfortable backpack with plenty of room for all your needs. My platform and sticks attach to the back of the pack and I put my bibs or jacket on the bottom of the back with the hide away straps. I have hiked several miles with this pack and it extremely comfortable. Very cushioned shoulder straps make this pack a dream! Go ahead and spend the money!

You get what you pay for. Sitka leaves no stone unturned and this pack is no different. You can obviously tell it is designed by serious hunters, for serious hunters! Plenty of room to pack for an all day sit.

Was looking for a new hunting pack and thought I’d give the tool bucket a try. Absolutely no regrets, it was very well thought out with the pockets and flap design. Quiet in the woods. Worth every penny.

Tool Bucket

Tried this pack recently on a 9 day hunt in the Midwest for whitetail. The pack allowed to me attach all my saddle hunting items to it with ease while also holding my essential items such as saws, calls, beverages, snacks, extra layers and other misc item. Durable and quiet while I slipped in and out of the stand daily. Can’t wait to use it again next season!

It’s just the right size. Not too bulky but big enough for the stuff I need to take to the stand. Serves me well from early to late season.

Bigger pockets.

I’ve a had few lake evening sits and so far have really enjoyed this pack. I take my fanatic coat off and strap it to the bottom while walking in. There is a ton of room and lots of pockets. With that being said, I would like to see some of the inside pockets be a little larger. The elastic pockets are so tight I can barely get my range finder in and out. Also the small pouch on the right shoulder strap could be a little deeper, that where I’ve found it handy to put a flash light but it’s not really deep enough to secure it. Maybe it’s meant for something else but that’s my $.02. Overall very happy with quality and size.

Great Pack

I bought the tool bucket for carry on thst would double to carry gear to field in Canada on fall waterfowl hunt, then transitioned to a stand bag chasing white tails. Great piece of equipment

Solid product, won't disappoint.

I own multiple Sitka packs and this is a favorite (in both EII and SA camo patterns). Great size for an all day sit, well designed organization and comfortable when loaded. External cargo straps are great for hauling a bow, Xbow or rifle. The easy access design when hung from the grommet in the top flap and having the main panel open makes grabbing gear silent and simple. Love to see similar model created but built 1/3 smaller.

This thing has a pocket for everything. All my gear stays organized. My only regret is that I didn’t buy it sooner.

Moved everything(binos knives gloves grunt

Moved everything(binos knives gloves grunt tube etc) from a standard backpack into the tool bucket and had plenty of room to spare for packing extra layer or shedding extra layers worn in the stand. Love how quiet and simple it is to use.

The perfect hunting pack.

I absolutely love this pack! I've been looking for a good quality, perfect size pack for a while now. I have finally found it. The bow holder straps work great. I love the fact that the top has a pull string button closer, instead of a noisy zipper. All the additional straps on the pack allow you to bring an extra jacket or any bulky items with ease. In my opinion, it's the perfect hunting pack.

Great Gear Bag

Great gear bag. It has tons of space for all necessities. Like all the individual pockets so everything has a place. One thing I don’t understand why they added to the design are the zippers to close the lid. Not necessary. I leave them unzipped all the time as I don’t want to deal with them out in the field.

Very good back pack. Lots of well organized pockets. Great option to attach bow or rifle to pack to free up hands while hiking. Comfortable carrying straps that secure pack while hiking.

Well designed piece of gear, I use it for predator hunting so it’s easy to flop the lid open and closed for making numerous stands.

This is my first season using the Tool Bucket, and it has been perfect. Hunting the New England woods, it has been perfect for all day sits at the blind and still hunting/tracking in the new snow.

This thing allows you to organize all your needs in the woods while being easy to access every item. You can hang the bag open from a tree peg and use your full allotment of supplies without shuffling through a full pack.

Maximized use of space!

I was able to take the contents of a much larger bag and fit it all in this bag with room to spare due to the great use of space amd ample number of pockets. The blaze flag built in is great for rifle season and could carry 4 climbing sticks and a platform with ease.

The Tool Bucket is my new go-to pack for hunting!

Battled with this tool bucket in a Kansas and Missouri whitetail hunt. This will protect your stuff from the rain, has so much storage and so much. It has straps on the top and bottom to strap your gear down. Plenty of lid storage on both sides and easy access to the top storage lid pouch. It easily fit my gloves and beanie.

Major let down

The bag has zero bells a whistles. Very disappointed with the design of the bag. Save your self a bunch of money and just toss your stuff in a trash bag and carry it over your shoulder at least it’d stay dry then.

Great pack

I use it primarily as a gym bag but I could definitely make good use of it in the field as well. Good large main storage compartment and well thought out (and plentiful) secondary compartments.

Ripped on first hunt

Brand new tool bucket pack ripped on first hunt of season. Warranty denied as it was determined to be caused by “normal wear and tear”. Poorly designed, weak attributes on this product. Not what i’ve come to expect from SITKA Gear.

Could be improved

Bought this pack before 2023 hunting season with high hopes, I have a fair amount of Sitka gear and have been pleased with the vast majority of it. I do a ton of whitetail hunting in the SE and a new pack with a lot more function was needed. Here are my pros and cons. Pros: - loads of space, pockets tailored to about everything from an ozonics unit, to knives, collapsible saws, bow hanger….this list goes on. -straps, the pack has endless amounts of external straps for lashing gear to the pack. I ok thought out. -built with the quality and ruggedness you’d expect from Sitka, the pack is sturdy and well put together. I have no qualms with throwing it in the truck bed or strapping it to a climber. -comfortable, the pack fits well and does not chafe or rub on long treks. Cons: -specifically designed for water bottles, zero option for a bladder. This is a huge let down, would have been so easy to make a bladder an option. A bladder is quieter to use, requires less movement to use, holds far more liquid than bottles and is a much more efficient use of limited space. -no hip belt. Long packs through rugged terrain, aggressive e-bike rides, packing out heavy loads….some additional waste support would’ve been a cheap simple addition. -no dedicated place to keep a quiver during a hunt. I tend to think the majority of bow hunters shoot without a quiver on the side of the bow, this pack easily allows you to place your quiver in the main compartment but it STILL keeps you from seamlessly, quietly, quickly accessing other items. The addition of a plastic, pvc, polymer, aluminum etc, plate on either side of the pack to accommodate an array of quiver locks would be a pure testament to ingenuity and addressing a much needed niche. This would allow access to arrows while having the pack on as well as being in the stand….without ever having to remove the quiver…..

Just arrived and I am impressed!

I received my tool bucket yesterday in the mail. After pulling it out of the box, the pictures displayed do not do it justice. It's roomy, I couldn't believe all the pockets and the locations. Sitka has been doing hunter research. Pocket here, pocket there, I can put this here and that there. Yeap, crazy but that is what I was thinking when I was inspecting this backpack. The front has a zipper, unzip and it lays open, the top flap can be opened and left open so you can have easy access to all your gear without fighting with multiple zippers etc. The only reason I went with four stars is I haven't taken to the tree yet; however, it is going with me this weekend and I will update this review.
