The traverse hoody is a very versatile hoody. You can wear layered or as stand alone. Nice medium weight that is breathable and stylish enough to wear casually.

Outer Layer in TN

This is my go to outer layer for hunting in TN. I layer underneath when needed. The chest/stomach area is disproportionately larger than the arms and length. It’s designed for the average out of shape American I guess. It’s warm, quiet, and durable.

Quiet warmth.

The lack of wind stopper is the only downside to this jacket. Warm to wear as a standalone or a layering piece, and very durable against briars.

Season long comfort and decent warmth

I’ve had the traverse in a size large for around 2 years now. I wear the traverse mainly in bow season once the temps start to dip below 55-60 of an evening. I use it when the temps drop to around 25-30 with a heavyweight on underneath. Probably my most utilized bow season hoody. After that, I usually switch to the stratus. Especially for the winter winds, but the traverse is always under the stratus. I need to get another traverse hoody for wearing out and about. I find myself reaching for the traverse about anytime I go out on the town. The comfort is unmatched. It makes mid October through the November rut hunting a luxury. Only negative I have, the built in face mask is much too small for me to use. But the form fitting hood in the traverse is one of my favorites. I’d you plan to layer underneath, I would size up. I am 5’10” 195 lbs. a size large fits my great without layering, another layer underneath and it starts to get constricting. I also would like to add, this hoody stops the rain better than advertised in my opinion. In a constant light rain, it takes around 3-4 hours before I start to feel wet. Not waterproof, but it takes a long time to wet out.

Great product

I ordered a Medium which fits very well. I had a chance to use it towards the end of duck season, and it provides a great deal of warmth. I like the built in face mask and fitted hood. I have also used this jacket some as an everyday jacket.

Alaska interior

Pricy yes but worth it in my opinion. I live offgrid in the interior of Alaska so i cant mess with something that doesnt do its job. This is actually the 2nd one I've bought because it was my go to for everything. Great for warmth and keeping the wind out. Comfortable as an under layer. Its Been one of my favorites in the collection and it would be hard to beat it.

If I had to choose only one top from Stika...

This would be it. I love the traverse zip up hoodie. It is warm and comfortable; throw on an under layer and it holds up well in the teens (Fahrenheit), and I imagine it would continue to hold up in even colder weather. It is supposed to 'shed light precipitation' but I have had no issues in a downpour. It is extremely flexible and the side panels let out excess heat without letting in the cold. It is excellent vs. the wind as well. I like the 'palm extender' ends on the sleeves, almost like a half glove that keeps the heat in but the fingers free. I like the pockets, particularly the chest pocket where I tuck my hunting license. It even has a face protector when it gets really cold. If I had to go through my gear and pick one jacket/hoodie, this would absolutely be the one. Versatile, warm, dry and quiet? This piece of gear is a must.

Did not like the collar, hood design, dinky face mask, pockets and bulky fit features. Not my favorite Sitka product. Decided to return it and spend the money on a good Jetstream Jacket. Very pleased with it.

Best hoodie I own

Fits great, keeps me warm in cold temperatures and have worn it in warmer temps. Comfortable all around and the pockets are handy!

Favorite sitka jacket I have

I got this 1year ago for water fowl and deer a turkey. I am 99% sure that I wore this on every hunt I went on because it was a warm season. I have had no problems with it or anything thing.

This jacket fits well, it’s warm, and it has great features. I bought it too late it the season to field test it in the duck blind.

Exactly the same as my Gradient Hoody except full zip, which is better for an outer piece. I like the 3/4 zip Gradient for an under layer. So now I have the ultimate for both.

Fits great. I wear it for everyday and hunting. Also like the hidden face mask in the hood very convenient while hunting whitetails in the Midwest. I own 1 and my sons each have 1 Also we all like the fit and warmth. Would buy again.

Excellent product

Very happy with the quality of this jacket. I did order a size larger than normal because Sitka gear seems to run small to me. It did fit the way I like ordering 1 size larger.

Very nice hoody but I was hoping it would fit similar to the Gradient Hoody. It's a little longer in the torso and the hood is looser fitting in comparison.
