I use these for grouse hunting. More like an Olympic event than a day hunting. Pretty typical for me to walk a solid 7 to 8 hours through cuts, slash and thorns. I'm on my second year and these show wear but no serious rips or tears. I grew up hunting grouse and wearing tin cloth...indestructible but heavy and unnecessary. I have two pair and even when wet, I just swap out at lunch.

The best travel pants - wear them on the plane, wear them on the safari vehicle, wear them on the boat or wear them to dinner. Then, wash them in the hotel sink, hang to dry and repeat the next day. However, how about offering them in tan or mud colors?

I own WAY to many pairs of hunting pants but feel each pair has a purpose depending on the game I'm hunting and the season, these are by far my favorite early season hot weather pants (think 70-100deg) the 34R fit is perfect (I'm 5'9'' 200lbs athletic) and the pockets are thoughtfully placed right where they need to be. I have worn them ten days in a row while archery hunting elk and also during spring black bear plus turkey season, they just flat out don't quit. Super light, extremally quit, very durable and affordable. I've since bought a second pair in solid grey I love these so much and would easily recommend these for your one and only pair of early season pants.

These are the perfect introduction to what Sitka has to offer. While you don't get all of the bells and whistles of the more expensive pants, all of the quality and function are there. These pants breathe well for the early season, and they are quiet enough for archery big game or whitetail. They are also very comfortable. I wish the cargo pockets had just a little more room, and that they were a little more tapered around the calves, but other pants have this feature and it's good to have options. Briars will for sure pick them, but they hold up well nonetheless.

I guide for a living all over the country in different capacities. From the desert and hills of Utah, to the fields in Indiana , as well as the rainforests in South East Alaska. These pants are extremely comfortable, have pockets which are extremely functional, and are good at drying quickly or staying dry from sweat. I cannot recommend these pants enough from chasing grouse in the rainforest to chasing deer on the farm. Love love love them.

I'll star by saying the only reason I didn't give these pants a 5 star review is because they are made with a long inseam and do not offer a 'short' version for my 31' inseam legs. I wear a 34X32 in Levi's but these Sitka 34-regular just run long. On to the review, the pants waist fits just right and also has some stretch built in in case you gain/loose a few pounds. They are VERY lightweight and beat out my other lightweight pants from Stone Glacier, Kuiu and Fist Lite along with other non hunting brands. The medium size cargo pockets are just perfect for gloves, headlamp, chapstick, wallet, chew can, beanie etc and the zippers are small and quit. One rear pocket is nice for a wallet or in my case toothpick. The hand pockets are cut just right along with reinforced knife patches. These pants are fantastic for early season hunting all the way into October here in north Idaho, the stretch is perfect and the pants are super quit. I will be buying at least two more pairs for work and hunting! If you want a less expensive hunting pant that’s VERY comfortable and quit BUY THESE!

I have 4 pairs of the Traverse Pants. 2 in the Open Country and 2 in the Sub-Alpine. One of the great things about Sitka gear, that I believe sets it apart from from other higher end clothing companies, is it’s versatility and comfort. How each Sitka buyer chooses to define their item’s hunting application is relative to the individual hunter. No, the Traverse pants are certainly not the best application for rambling through briars and low ground cover snags on your way to your stand or blind. No, they’re definitely not meant to provide the wearer with any reasonable warmth when the temperatures drop below whatever temp seems “cold” to the individual hunter. Again, it’s all relative to the individual. For me, hunting most of each deer season in NE Georgia, 40 degrees is “cold” enough to make me uncomfortable if I’m not wearing the right gear or properly layered. 40 degrees for the guy who spends his time hunting above the Mason-Dixon Line is probably just another cool day in the woods. Enter the Traverse pants. Unquestionably great pants for just about anyone who hunts in southern climates during those blazing hot early days of bow season. Here in Georgia, it’s nothing to continue to see 80 degree days well into October. These pants are terrific for those days allowing you to hike to and from your stand or blind without soaking the inside of your pants on those warm to hot days. They breathe remarkably and dry faster than any early season hunting pant I own. When temps fall as the season progresses toward November, you can easily and comfortably layer a light, medium, or heavyweight merino base layer under them and hunt comfortably in cooler to mildly colder weather. It’s obvious from the recycled, 4-way stretch material they’re made from that these pants are not meant to navigate through heavy brush with briars, thorns and various other snags, but if your trek to your favorite hunting spot is reasonably free of those things, the Traverse pants, I promise you, will not disappoint. Versatile and, without question, one of the most comfortable hunting pant I own or have EVER owned. Think about your application for use, and then determine if these are worth paying the steep price for you and your individual hunting preferences, locations, and situations. My personal opinion of these pants?…I have 4 pair, so I guess that kind of answers the question. Rev. Brown Monroe, GA

Quality seems good but the pants are made of a completely different material than the jaket. Bought these to match the jacket but had to return them due to this. Will probably never buy from the webshop again given the return process does not include shipping.

I’m a Southern states hunter and bought these as my primary pants. My hope was to use these from early bow season through the mild fall with a base layer. I have not been disappointed. They’re very lightweight, extremely breathable, and comfortable. Virtually no wind resistance for better or worse and I spite of the artificial materials don’t feel sticky and uncomfortable when you sweat a little. The pockets are perfectly placed for sitting in a stand. You can tell you e bought something premium when you wear them. So far I’m very happy with these pants.

I gave these a 5 star. My only con, I rather have these come in a performance fit vs a standard fit. Other than that I love these . I'm a mobile public land hunter from the south and I can wear these from high upper heat to mid 30's with proper layers. These pants don't sag after a long hike or from being worn in your saddle. I can't say enough good things about wearing these. I will continue to use these for whitetail hunting.

Five star casual / trail pant in the lead colored material. If they had knee pads, they could fit right into my hunting pant line up but that feature Alone has become a must have for any pant to make it on a hunt with me. These pants are lightweight, comfortable and have nice design features that make them a pleasure to wear.

I really like the features of the pants and the fit. My issue was I put them on and walked around in them and they are not even close to quiet. There is no way I would wear these to sneak in on an animal. If they were quiet then I would have kept them.

Exactly what I was looking for! Lightweight but sturdy. Super comfortable with the most thought out features and none of the fluff. I love the flat zippered pockets. I always hate bulky cargo pockets but these flat zippered pockets are perfect. Fit is excellent. I’m 6’2” and 225lbs. The 36T fit great. Not baggy but just enough room for a base layer to go underneath if it turns cold. Highly recommend!

LOVE these pants! Look good, feel good, stretchy so they don't bind, and super comfortable. Great walking through brush, because they are thin I could feel a few pokes but none of the burrs stuck to them at all. I like the pocket layout a lot better than my Dakota pants. I wear the Traverse pants until it gets below 50 degrees, then switch to my Dakota pants. Honestly, I might buy a solid color and wear them as everyday pants as well...

If I could rate these pants as 0 I would. I hunted with them for less than 15 days in BC Canada and I have about 10 holes in them. If you walk in grass that has light moisture you will be soaked. When I enquired about the product quality they informed I should look at purchasing a more durable product. I’m not impressed when a company won’t stand behind their products. I would suggest purchasing another brand of pants these are very low quality.

Just returned from elk hunting in Colorado. The Traverse pants exceeded my expectations. Lightweight, breathable, durable, and they dried quickly. The area I hunted at was full of burrs and thistles and nothing stuck to my pants. A separate pair of rain pants I wore was covered in burrs and stickers within the first hundred yards of walking. I had to spend hours removing everything. However, the Traverse pants allowed me to go anywhere without worrying about the hassle of burrs sticking to my clothing. Well done.

This is the very first item I’ve ever bought from Sitka and I like these pants but I also do not. From the very first time I put them on my feet got stuck in them, they are moderately rough but they seem to catch the material very easily causing the inside material to pill and actually pool threads. I’ve never had this issue before. Spending this much money and having this issue makes me wonder if I dare try them in the woods and if I should send them back.

I've owned a lot of brands, styles, and designs of pants in 21yrs of bowhunting. The traverse pants are my favorite I've ever owned. I fell in love with them upon instantly opening them up. The fit, cut, movement, and quietness of the fabric is what made my mind up without a doubt. I see some reviews saying can't use these pants for stalking bc their loud? I disagree with that. I'm really looking at long-term use with them. Very impressed.

These pants are not that quiet. Other than that they're awesome, very comfortable, fit great, and seem durable. Easily would be 5 stars if Sitka didn't advertise them as being quiet. They aren't too loud and you can definitely make it work, but I have definitely worn much quieter pants.

Out of the box this pant is not the quietest. It also does not have any kind of insulation in it so if you plan on wearing it late into season beware. I am 6'2 ~185 and the 32T fits me great. I will compare the waist to a skinny jean fit and then becomes baggy towards the bottom similar to boot cut jeans. In Missouri I use it for bow season in October and can extend that into November depending on temps. I would recommend this pant if you are looking for a bow season pant paired with the fanatic hoody and the traverse hoody as a pack in.

Excellent early season pant. Out of the box they felt amazing and I have archery hunted with them a few times now in South Dakota and they are super comfortable and quiet. A couple reviews question the quietness, but they are plenty quiet unless you are constantly rubbing your legs together in the tree stand. I have not tested longevity yet, but I am hoping they last a long time. I am 6’0 and 170 lbs and the 32T fit great. I struggle to find pants that fit very well and these are exceptional. This is my first pair of Sitka pants and I am sold. Thank you Sitka

Great, lightweight hunting pants. They do run a little small. I am about a 33 inch waist but ordered a 36 tall for them to be a good fit. I was expecting more for durability..they do have some snags and wear after one season of use. If I was using them regularly to tear through thick brush I'd be concerned about how they'd hold up. However, for light use they are comfortable and have great pockets.
