My wife was skeptical. . . but she loves it!

I bought this as a gift for my wife to wear in the spring and fall around town, hiking, or outside playing with the kids. She was skeptical at first because it does not cut wind super well (it's not supposed to), but after taking it on a couple hikes and sledding outings this winter she is in love with it! She keeps mentioning how happy she is with how warm and cozy this jacket is.

The Ambient Jacket is functionally comfy

The Ambient Jacket fits amazing! I was hesitant to order it because the hood is not removable but it does not crowd the back of my neck and neither is it uncomfortable to wear on my head (it’s not tight at all but will definitely stay in place). Also when the hood is folded down the ‘collar’ area does not rest under my chin. It lays on my breastbone area as it should. This is a wonder jacket and I will definitely get much use out of it. It is very light yet warm and certainly allows for room to layer (under arm area is not snug which would allow for layers). For fit references: I am 5’3”, 130 - usually a medium (I have medium in incinerator), I also have women’s curves, extra on top and the fit allows for DD’s with ease. The sleeves have a delicate wrist elastic that holds them in place at my wrist and it is not annoyingly tight in the least bit. I would say the arm length is generous but not beyond my fingertips so taller ladies would appreciate this. Yes I would buy this jacket again in another color and look froward to wearing it as much as possible. Hope this info helped.

Great mid layer

Jacket is a great mid layer, but it’s definitely more of a fleece. Incredibly warm but not windproof or waterproof. Good for early bow season, chilly mornings when the day will get warmer and you’re on the move, or later season when you’ll layer. The fit is great, it’s the only women’s jacket around that fits size 0 or 00. For the price, an actual jacket would be nice, hence the 4 stars.

I am so glad I

I am so glad I bought this jacket. It is light weight but warm. It is so easy to pack. The medium fit, but was a little snug in the hips (I have wide hips). So, I sized up to a large to be able to layer underneath. I would buy this jacket again.
