Versatile Pants

These pants are super comfortable and not as thin as I was expecting which is great. They can be worn in a ranch of different temps.

Neck gaiter

The material is nice, it does help keep you warmer on those late season days. My only complaint would be that it could be slightly looser and or have some elastic on the ends. Overall it’s a good addition to the Sitka line up.

Inside of the hood began

Inside of the hood began to pill at the collar after a couple of washes. Good material and warmth and an XL fits true to size.

Gore-tex patches

I used to seal up a small hole in my bibs from a barbed wire fence. It was easy to apply the patch. Being the same camo it is hardly noticeable. It seemed like the sticky patch was going to last multit seasons.

Three winters

I have worn this jacket three winters now doing commercial and industrial hvac work. Snagged it on sharp edges without ripping, crawled through boiler rooms and kept warm on rooftops in sub zero temps with a hoodie underneath. So yeah, you can chop wood and shoot your mathews bow on a cold morning on your private ranch. It will hold up.

Bibs are quiet for the walk to the stand and the climb. Warm enough for all day sits in cold weather. Also lightweight enough to provide perfect comfort and movement when needed.

Great base layer for late season or by itself in early season. Warm but also breathes well.

I bought 2

Bought this as a “just in case” shell for windy hunts… and it immediately took over as my go-to winter jacket. Keeps you warm without feeling like you’re lugging around a sleeping bag. Not bulky, but somehow warmer than it has any right to be. The wind stopper is legit. Colorado tried its worst and this thing didn’t flinch. It got so good my wife started stealing it… like fully zipping herself and our 10-month-old inside on walks. So yeah, had to buy a second one. Now it’s my default for everything from hunts to dog walks to “quick” trips outside that aren’t quick. RIP to my arcteryx jackets, Sitka is taking over.

Very versatile vest

In all fairness, I have two of these. On one, the pocket liner was not sealed/welded, so the left pocket is useless, hence the 4 stars not 5. Otherwise this vest is great. Slightly breeze-proof and sheds a bit of drizzle. Light enough to layer easily without being too warm. I wear it fishing in the morning until the sun gets up. It’s perfect to put on as the sun goes down for Texas spring hunting. So far, it has been surprisingly durable and the fleece pattern has stayed fluffy (not pilled or packed down) through two seasons of frequent use and washing. It will catch on cactus and cedar, but better than the Ambient line in that regard. I probably wear it more than my Jetstream now if that is possible.

Great hats and pants that I did find that fit me good…. . One problem is that they do not make jackets vests and a variety of hunting wear for knuckle draggers like me! I’m 6’9” and 320lbs. A big and tall line of clothing would be awesome 40” sleeves 4XLT AND 5XLT chest jackets would be a welcome sight for us OTHER HUNTERS……

I wore a friends duck oven last year and knew I needed a new coat for cold weather. My current jacket of 20 plus years wasn’t cutting it. I have a wader jacket that fits over top of the duck oven for added protection against rain.

Got them on sale and will be buying more as needed. They certainly exceed the expectations for the price. Tough yet forgiving fabric that moves with you through your workday.
