I took this out on my hunt this season. The heavy base layer provided great warmth from the tree stand. It worked best with the status bibs and jacket as outer layers during the wet 34° weather in Nebraska.

Great base layer warm hat. I like to wear this alone into the woods then put the status or fanatic hat if it’s realy cold on top of it when I’m sitting in a tree.

Good warmth and dexterity. I like wearing them on the way to the stand when it’s realy cold then switching to the fanatic gloves when I’m sitting and can keep my hands warm in fanatic jacket.

Best softshell for whitetail hunting

Best softshell for whitetail hunting I've found. Keep it somewhat loose and you can fit a puffy or thick vest under it in the extreme cold but its also not too hot alone for warmer days. The material is also super quiet for staying undetected while in a tree or still hunting.

Excellent product

I was looking for a warmer light weight non-down puffy and this jacket checks all the boxes. Way warmer than a Patagonia Nano Puff, and packs down to a similar size, plus the outer shell seems bomb proof. I love this jacket from Sitka.

Runs small in the legs, buttocks, and crotch

I am 6 foot 195lbs, athletic build. The pants are a little short (only come in 32L). I got a 35 because I wanted them to be looser. They are extremely tight in the crotch upper leg and butt area. Material is good but the fit is quite uncomfortable.
