I've had the vest for a few years.

I've had the vest for a few years. Wanted to actually get plenty of use before giving a review. The vest works in many ways and I give high praise. However, one area is lacking and needs to be reworked. The way you carry a turkey out of the woods is not useful at all. First you must secure the turkey legs and then attach the sling to the front of the vest. Next you pull on the vest with turkey on the front of the vest. Then, you must place the turkey over your shoulder. Why not just carry the turkey out over the woods without a strap or design a pouch big enough for the bird

Absolutely amazing jacket, runs true to size and is very comfortable. I wear it every wear now and am considering getting another one so I can use it specifically for hunting

Comfortable, but fits a little on the smaller size. Design is nice to keep you feet cool and extremely easy to slip on and off

Super Warm Jacket

The name says it all this jacket is super warm and let’s very little wind in while in the blind or on the boat. It is my go to for any of those cold mornings. It is slightly warmer than the pullover option for the Duck Oven as well

Dew point pant

Fits great. Has stretchy interior belt. The pants are more noisy then my stormfront but much lighter. Great for throwing in the pack. Dont even notice the weight or size.

43, 6’0”, 190 lbs. I put Sitka’s short sleeve crew and Guard Light pants to the test during wildfire prep in Brantley County Georgia while relocating post-Navy retirement. Not exactly a casual trial run. Held up flawlessly. No odor, no bugs, no discomfort. Just solid, reliable gear that stayed comfortable all day. It all started after I stopped by the Atlanta store at The Battery, and got great help from Chris, and that sealed it. Big fan now. If you’re military or first responder, get on GOVX. The discount is ridiculous. Sitka backs it up with quality and service.

I recently found myself back home in Georgia helping out in Brantley County with assisting family and neighbors with wild fire preparations and evacuations. Shortly before preparations, my Sitka gear arrived to include the crewneck long sleeve as well as the guard light pant. Although not what I initially anticipated using these products for, I was in the middle of a move from Georgia to Florida after retiring from the Navy and utilized the gear for several days in which the product stood on business- no odor, no insect issues while out in the field, and no discomfort at all. The comfort level was always there and that’s due to the quality of the production value. There was never a time where I had any concern about comfort, discomfort, or issues with the material it’s just proven solid gear and if you have not tried Sitka’s offerings with the massive line of gear before I highly recommended it. I had the opportunity to stop by the Atlanta store in the Battery and the store clerk Chris was very helpful and after he directed me to a few different outfits and product try-ons, he made me a believer and I will be a Sitka groupie from here on out. And for first responders and military, create a GOV-X account right now, you will not believe the discount, 40%! You read that right- it’s the best I have ever seen amongst any outdoor clothing company. Sitka values its customers and their customer service is great too. Happy hunting.
