When you live and travel to places where the winters feel personal, you learn to develop apparel that hits back. Designed by SITKA STUDIO in Montana, our 900-fill Allied goose-down jacket features a matte black Japanese ripstop face fabric to sidestep the sheen of standard puffers. But the weak point with most down jackets? They can’t block the wind. That’s why we partnered with GORE-TEX Labs to integrate the new ePE WINDSTOPPER® laminate—keeping your stored heat on lock whether you're stomping down snow-covered streets for a well-earned whiskey or waiting out the northern lights on the edge of nowhere.
OVERLANDING IN ICELAND
Outfitted in SITKA STUDIO Hyperdown jackets, we overlanded around the island, buried our Defenders up to the doors, trekked ancient glaciers, weathered nuking winds, chased the northern lights, snapped thousands of photos, braved questionable fermented shark in a pub, and capped it off with a Viking beer in a hot spring.
GORE® products have been used in everything from NASA’s astronaut suits to the jackets worn by the members of the first confirmed, unsupported dogsled journey to the North Pole. Inspired by their legacy, we partnered with GORE-TEX Labs to integrate their new ePE WINDSTOPPER® laminate—delivering a down jacket that is 100% windproof.
We partnered with Allied Feather + Down to integrate ExpeDRY™—a permanent, chemical-free innovation that bonds non-toxic gold particles to the 900-fill goose-down clusters. This technology actively manages humidity within the insulation, keeping the chambers dry even in extreme conditions.
Our 60 denier matte black Japanese ripstop face is engineered to sidestep the sheen of standard puffers and improve durability.
