About the Role
We are looking for a Retail Store Manager to join our team in Bozeman, MT. In this role, you will lead the daily operations of our retail store while building and developing a high-performing team that delivers an exceptional customer experience. You will drive store performance through strong leadership, operational excellence, and a customer-first mindset. Responsibilities
• Leadership & Accountability: Lead and inspire the store team while upholding brand standards and driving store performance goals.
• Sales & Profitability: Drive store sales and profitability by monitoring performance metrics and managing operating and payroll expenses.
• Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional in-store service through strong product knowledge, customer engagement, and adherence to visual merchandising standards.
• Team Development: Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a team of knowledgeable brand advocates who represent the SITKA® brand.
• Coaching & Performance Management: Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance management to support individual and team growth.
• Community Engagement: Support store events and develop relationships within the local community to increase brand awareness and store traffic.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure operational standards are met including inventory accuracy, store organization, and compliance with company policies.
• Scheduling & Workforce Planning: Create and manage staff schedules aligned with store traffic patterns and payroll plans.
• Business Planning: Analyze business results and collaborate with leadership to implement strategies that improve store performance.
• Safety & Asset Protection: Maintain a safe and secure store environment while protecting company assets and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a specialty retail environment, preferably within outdoor apparel or lifestyle brands
• Demonstrated success achieving sales and profit results through team leadership
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead high-performing teams
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver authentic customer service and resolve customer concerns
• Experience planning and executing store events or community engagement activities
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
• Ability to travel up to 15%

Retail Gear Guide (Non-Associate) Full Time - Bozeman
About the Role: SITKA is seeking a full-time retail Gear-Guide. You will provide customers with a premium experience and excellent customer service in an engaging and authentic way. You value the opportunity to help customers find the gear that supports their pursuit. In this role, you will report to the Store Manager.
General Job Duties:
•Authentically engage with all customers to provide exceptional customer service and experience
•Become a brand expert on all things SITKA
•Actively participate in reaching sales and other KPI goals
•Assist in inventory procedures including floor replenishment, third party orders, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, etc.
•Uphold premium merchandising standards that create an exceptional customer experience
•Execute store cleaning responsibilities
•Provide an excellent checkout experience for all sales, returns and exchange transactions using POS
•Assist with store events
•Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
•At least 1 year of customer service and/or retail experience preferred
•Ability to effectively and accurately complete POS transactions

We are hiring a Retail Gear Guide for SITKA Gear's growing team.
General Job Duties:
Provide exceptional customer service and experience to everyone walking through the door
Help customers find gear that supports their pursuit
Become a brand expert on all things SITKA
Assist in inventory procedures, allocation and replenishment, third party orders, shipping, receiving, cycle counting etc.
Work with the Visual Merchandiser to uphold merchandising standards to create an appealing in-store experience.
Maintain cleanliness of the store by sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms etc.
Complete all sales, returns and exchange transactions effectively and accurately
Assist with DEPOT events.
Qualifications & Experience:

1+ years of customer service and/or retail experience preferred
Previous retail knowledge (POS, Inventory, customer service, and sales) preferred

What is your store’s return policy?
Refunds must be initiated within 30 days of the original purchase date. Only items purchased directly through sitkagear.com can be refunded through our website.
Each product must be in new and unused condition with the original hang tags attached. Underwear cannot be returned.
Refunds will be credited to the original credit/debit card used at the time of purchase.
Please keep in mind that during peak seasons, refunds can take up to 3 weeks to complete once we receive your product.
What is your store’s exchange policy?

Exchanges can be made for a different size of the purchased item. Each product must be in new and unused condition with the original hang tags attached. Exchanges cannot be done for a different item or colorway. Underwear cannot be exchanged.
An item can be exchanged one time. After that, it is only available to return for a refund.
Please keep in mind that during peak seasons, online exchanges can take up to 3 weeks to complete once we receive your product. If you need it faster than this, we recommend returning for a refund and purchasing the correct size, or exchanging in-store.
Do you offer repairs?
We will only begin the repair after you have approved the cost.
What may be able to be repaired: Burns, tears, cuts, punctures, sun fading, excessive abrasion, accidental damage and/or neglect, and any other failures, including zippers, due to improper fit, care, storage, or use.
Unwashed garments will not be repaired. Please be sure to empty all pockets of everything, including ammunition, liquids, sharp objects, personal effects, etc.
Depending on the time of year, damage, amount and/or type of work required, our repair process may take an average of 4 to 8 weeks.
Do you offer a warranty?
If the damage is deemed to be caused by a defect in manufacturing, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the item at no cost to you. For online orders, all warranties receive a pre-paid shipping label from FedEx within 1 to 2 business days. All garments sent in for any Warranty work must be clean.
What Is Covered Under Warranty: Zipper malfunctions, snap failures, seam stitch failures, seam tape failures, delamination, and GORE-TEX failures through the intended use of the product with proper care.
I lost my receipt. Can I still return or exchange my item(s)?
Without a receipt, at this time we can offer exchanges or refunds for items purchased in-store. We are unable to offer refunds for online purchases, but we can exchange items or set up a return for any online purchase.
Do you have fitting rooms?
Yes, all our stores are equipped with fitting rooms.
Can I rent hunting gear from your store?
No, we do not have equipment rentals at this time.
Do you have on-site parking?
Yes, we have plenty of on-site parking available to our customers.
Do you offer a military discount?
Yes, we offer active-duty military and veteran discounts. You can apply for the discount program at https://www.sitkagear.com/military-discount, and we honor that discount in all SITKA retail stores.
