I'm a huge sweatpant fan. I own more than anyone should. So when I saw Sitka's offering, I had to try them out. I loved them so much I bought a pair for my friend, and I'm buying a 2nd pair to have both colors.
They work as an insulation layer on cold days and as an outer layer on cool days. Extremely comfortable, the tapered legs make layering easy with no clumping. As far as sizing goes, I would normally get a small (30" waist), but the medium was the smallest they offer and it fits just fine. The draw string ensures they stay put.
