My favorite

The Sitka Ambient 100 Hoody is hands-down my favorite piece of hunting gear. It strikes the perfect balance between warmth and breathability — I can hike hard without overheating, and when I stop moving it still keeps me comfortable. It’s lightweight, packs down easily, and has become the first thing I grab whether I’m headed out for a hunt, scouting, or just spending time outdoors. I’ve worn a lot of different midlayers over the years, but nothing else matches the versatility of this hoody. It works as a standalone jacket on cool mornings and layers seamlessly under a shell when the weather turns. Yes, Sitka gear comes with a premium price tag, but this piece earns its keep every single time I wear it. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it — you’ll end up reaching for it more than anything else in your kit.

I bought a medium and it is more of an athletic fit than I prefer. I like my clothes to fit looser, so I will be buying a large next time. This is a very nice jacket.

Bought the medium and was worried I wouldn’t be able to layer underneath, but it’s warm comfy and not form fitting to where u can layer properly

Surprisingly warm for the weight

Surprisingly warm for the weight in 40-50 deg. weather. Light rain runs off well, but haven't had occasion to sit in it >30 minutes glassing in rain/clouds. Definitely a good mid layer, or outer layer if you're moving.

Camo Cover Zip Hoodie!

Two things that I don't like about the zip front hoodie is it's way too expensive and that the jacket has two different materials that could've been stitched together better throughout or even bonded them together for a better durability. The outer material is very thin and although it's stretch ability helps it from tearing, it will easily snag and or rip on tree branches, bark, twigs, and briars etc . . . It definitely doesn't justify the customers purpose of purchasing a expensive quality jacket from a top of the line outdoor company by no means! " I do think it's comfortable, lite / packable, and warm".

Ambient is a must have

Honestly, this is probably one of my favorite pieces of Sitka gear they make. I run a wool base, midweight long sleeve, and then ambient on most of my stalk hunts. Adding a jestream jacket makes my system complete on windy days and when hunting in a treestand. I would not go brush busting in this as I don’t like tearing up expensive gear, but this fabric can withstand some small branches of sneaking through with caution.

Perfect Mid- layer

This is a great outer/mid layer. Warm, functional and fits well. Size XL 6’1” and 210lb

The best

Sitka is always on point with their layering and realistic outerwear, but this jacket is just the best. Not waterproof, but extremely cozy for hanging around camp, scouting in the mid season chill, or going to the range. Super soft outer shell similar to a puffy jacket but has a Sherpa type lining inside. The wrists are also cuffed for a good fit that doesn’t slip over your hands.

This is an all-time favorite and most comfortable jacket from sitka. I wish they made the ambient 200 with a hood.

I have the earlier 1/2 zip ambient in XL. It has been a favorite that I wish I could find again. Thought I would try the ambient 100 in XL. I did not get to use it due to returning it for being way oversized. Pic is XL 1/2 zip over the new XL 100.

Exactly what I needed.

This is the perfect do all jacket. I hunt the warmer early bow season in Arkansas and this jacket is perfect for the chilly morning in the ozarks. I will definitely be using this piece of gear all season long.

Fits amazing. Love that I can wear it in such a wide variety of temps. Great stand alone piece when temps stay above 50. Good to layer when it cools down. Looks great if I want to wear it to town or casual. Definite must have.

Jackets seems great! Really looking forward to giving it a try this fall as it’s still plenty warm in Michigan currently. Packs and weighs nothing. Super comfortable. I’m 5’9 185 and fairly broad through the shoulders and the large is perfect over a base and mid layer, maybe just a smidge big in the belly but would allow for heavier layers underneath if need be. With that being said I bought the discontinued color and the price seemed appropriate not sure if I would still purchase at normal msrp, but maybe this season will change my mind.
