Spectacular kit essential
I’m 6’2” 240lbs. XL is great, XLT gives me just that little bit extra reach without traction on the sleeves. I have the ambient 100 for whitetail archery. It’s a great layer. I was looking for something for the drop dead frozen cold whitetail late season December in Ontario, Canada, and an underlayer for spring turkey when it often snows on the opening day. This is great kit. The material is quiet, has stretch and is warm! Last season archery I sat out all day in -11C (12F) with the Ambient 100 under my Fanatic bibs and jacket and was comfy… this will be like a Swedish Sauna for next season!

Great feel, may run a little small
I haven't had an opportunity to really test it for warmth yet, but I think it's going to be a nice layering piece under my Stratus jacket. I started with a Large, which is my normal size, but exchanged it for an XL. The large fit but all i really would have had room to wear under it would be a next to skin type option. I wanted to get a little more than that under it so I went up. It does have some noise to it but being under something else I think it will be fine.

The fit and feel is amazing. Barely know you have it on. With that being said, do not wear it as an outer layer, it will rip on anything it touches. I have multiple holes in mine from one day of being in the woods. It needs to be redesigned with a better outer material. Im not sure how an active piece can be this brittle. How can you be active in a hunting jacket and not expect to walk through the woods.

Nice but weary of its durability and warmth
This jacket is nice but I am very skeptical of its actual ability to be a viable external jacket for anything other than early fall hunts. I do assume this is intended to be a mid layer but for the price, it should be versatile. The duck oven, although a mid layer too, can be worn as an early season jacket and does seem much more durable and warm. The ambient outer shell seems less protective in a light rain or abrasive situation with bushes. To be completely honest, I almost want to return it, given the price tag, feeling it will just be another item in my closest. I am a Sitka diehard and the majority of all of their shirts, vests, hoodies, and jackets are a core part of my hunting attire so please don’t take this as a knock on Sitka. I will pay up with the quality they put out. I’m just not sure if this jacket is best suited for casual wear.

Expensive but worth it!
Mid weight jacket. I was going to use it as a replacement for a fleece jacket that light weight. I usually wear three layers. I will only need two with this jacket. Very well made and look. Might be a little light colored for duck hunting but might just wear it around the city and buy another one for the hunt.

Works great as an outer layer, and looking forward to wearing it under a shell for colder and/or wetter weather. Every word of the Outside magazine review is true. Quality Control needed
This was a Christmas present so I was extremely disappointed as was my grandson when he put it on and we promptly noticed the the chest seam was not complete. There were two Small breaks in the seam.
