I picked it up from 1ShotGear. Given that I am in Europe, I had to wait a bit but the pack is worth it. Very light, and has great organization options. I am 6,4" and 215, and it wears perfectly for me. I would love to see 3 changes: 1., Far better and more robust zippers (so far it is ok, but might get forced a bit in winter months, and then it is a bit suspect), plus the zipper running down one side for better access 2., Webbing on the shoulder harness for attachment options - There is no need for load lifting but adding some webbing could give us more options 3., 1800 ci is great and it keeps you disciplined with gear, but 2 100-2 300 would be a sweet spot for a daypack I use it in the German-Austrian-Swiss Alps and so far it is great. With discipline, it is easy to get as close as 80-90 meters to local mountain goats and they have a hard time picking you up. They are a bit more chilled since tons of people hike all over the Alps and they are kind of used to them. :) The subalpine camo also confuses a lot of locals, thinking you belong in the military (got some questions about why I wear this color scheme), since most of them only see solid hunting colors. Otherwise, it is a great day option. If the next generation is an upgrade, I will jump on the wagon.

I bought this pack because of its low profile and ended up loving it. Im 6'6" and its almost like the bag is built for tall guys. I usually snag the top part of whatever bag i have on while climbing through thick brush but not this one. It stays low and stays put on your back. The waist belt storage is great and the big stretch pocket on the outside is great for stuffing an outer layer in when thing get a little warmer than expected. If it came in a solid tan olor I'd have 2 of them.

Great size, lightweight pack for a day outing. Holds a 3L water bladder easily. I broke it in on a 10 mile, 3000’ elevation gain summer hike and it performed flawlessly. No irritating rubbing anywhere on my shoulders or waist from the straps. Would highly recommend for a day hike or hunt.

I had high hopes for this pack but just realized I wasted my money. The zipper compartments on the waist strap are disappointing to say the least. They only open with one zipper, would’ve been nice to have the option to pull zipper forward or back to open. Also the material the waist pockets are made of is so loose and flimsy, it makes for a difficult one handed operation. The chest strap is ridiculously tiny. Would’ve loved to see some sort of molle straps along the shoulder straps for mounting of rangefinder pocket. If I haven’t complained about the waist pockets enough, the pockets feel like they are barely on your side but more towards the rear of you….well for anyone with a 38” or bigger waist anyway. I was excited for this pack as a lightweight run&gun option but unfortunately it doesn’t come in adult sizes.

I've used this pack for a couple seasons now and can say that I love almost everything about it. It holds a lot of gear, and all of the straps allow you to attach even more gear to the outer parts of the pack. It is super comfortable to wear even on the longest most challenging treks. The only gripe I have about it is how constrictive the top part of the pack is. This makes it really tough to quietly pull out gear (especially extra clothing) out of the main cargo pocket of the pack. Otherwise, this pack is incredible and accompanies me on every big game hunt all year long.

I don’t know what all the gripe is about, it’s an awesome pack. It’s lightweight, quite, has a low profile, and has the right amount of pockets and space for a full day hunt.

The only thing I would have like to see different is a quieter (fleece like outer layer). Maybe you could make a slip over cover with some zippers strategically placed(for access or rifle barrel protruding out the top and bottom)

Extremely light weight and comfortable pack. I had been looking for a day pack that would carry a full day's worth of gear/food while hunting Elk for 8-10 hour days and this does just that. The low profile top never gets snagged on limbs and you can hardly tell you are wearing anything at all. If I am hiking long distance I can even secure my bow to the exterior straps to secure it confidently. My only complaint is the hip belt pockets are oddly placed making them somewhat difficult to access. I'm a 34-35 waist and the pockets seem to be more to my sides/back side then out in front where I can easily rummage through them. If I were a more stout person, I feel these pockets would be almost impossible to access without taking the bag off. .

I'm 5'11' and the torso is a tad long for me, not a deal breaker. Its a great day pack with lots of adjustment. The bow holder is kind of a gimmick. One thing missing, is a handle up top to hang the pack. I tied paracord on the bladder hanger and threaded it through the water tube opening. So far that is working for me.

Lightweight and extremely comfortable for spot and stalk day hunts. This pack doesn't dig into your shoulders at all. The 25lb limit is perfect for me for a daypack. Enough room for rain jacket, gloves, watchcap, cookstove, knives, water bladder, and lunch/snacks. The optifade camo blends into the wooded and sage brush environments of Washington perfectly. This pack is also the perfect size for my 3D archery tournaments. Thank you Sitka for a great product!

I love this pack it’s amazing! There are only 2 things I would change. 1. The chest strap that connects both shoulder straps in front of your chest is located too high up on the shoulder straps. 2 there is no handle or loop at the top of the pack to hang it by when in a tree stand. I have had zero issues with the 2 little pieces of Velcro that tidy up excess shoulder straps. Not sure what that’s all about. Definitely still recommend!

I've have been struggling to find a quick day pack for long hikes but not an overnight trek. Being QUIET was the most important thing for me. I had the old version Ascent pack I think and it was super noisy, but of course Sitka's awesome warranty let me send it in and get fixed. I bought this to hold me over until I got the old one back - I love this one MORE. It has lots of straps on the outside to attach your bow or even pack out some meat or bone! IT IS SILENT! AND COMFORTABLE! While I loved the feel of my old one minus the squeakiness. This one is my new go to and that one will become my shed hunter/archery tournament/day pack.

I’ve owned the pack for over a year. It’s a great pack. The adjustment Velcro rubs. And the shoulder padding is shifting to the side as expected. I’ve used it for hunting and weighted hiking. It carries 25lbs of weight as well, a 3L water bladder pretty well. Had to put foam in the bottom to make sure the weight don’t rub through. Great Pack!

Fit well for me, the right shoulder strap had the extra slack secured with provided velcro. It constantly kept getting caught on my light weight hoodie making it fray. Tried to roll it multiple times different ways but didn't work and hoodie sleeve got pretty messed up. So I cut off the velcro and taped the extra slack. The over all space inside the pack is lacking. For daily hunting in Utah mountains only carrying the basics, kill kit, warming layers, parka, snacks/water, headlamp, first aid.... not enough space and hard to access items in bottom of bag.

There is so much I love about this pack. The problem is the fit. I’m 5’7” 180lbd my torso length is 19”. This pack is just way to big for me. The shoulder straps are as tight as they will go and the pack hangs down past my spine. I’m very disappointed that I will have to get rid of this one. It is unusable for me. The good news is my flash 20 is in good shape and will be spending another elk season with me. If your a big guy you may really like this pack. Sitka this is a start to a great pack. Make it smaller in torso length and put a frame of some kind in it to help with heavier loads.

This pack is exactly what its designed to be. I purchased this to be a day pack, something that wasn't to heavy but could hold all my gear. This pack is that and more. I have used mine a ton since I bought it this October. It is very comfortable and the waist belt holds it very steady and the padding on the back keeps you from sweating too much.

I enjoy all my Sitka products and thought this day pack would be perfect for carry my essentials when hunting in the backcountry for a day pack. Well, everything went well 5 days in a remote area with my pack goats. 20 mile days, plenty of Elk, the chest cinch was getting a bit uncomfortable but perhaps it was because I had a AR15 strapped onto the pack with two full magazines. Water, etc. The pack was quiet during my Archery Elk season. The only negative I can say about the pack is I wish it had exterior pockets with a zipper. It will prevent from digging into the main storage zipper. I ran into three wolves and I could have killed one if I didn’t have to dig through the main compartment to find my magazines. It cost me a wolf. However, overall I would rate this pack an 8 out of 10. Only draw back was no exterior pockets other then on the waist pan but to small for magazines etc. those pockets are for my range finder and my spot system. I kept the pack, and will upgrade the next pack available by Sitka.

Awesome profile and lightweight. I was pretty amazed how much gear I could pack away. I was even able to pack my fanatic bibs and jacket using the exterior straps for the walk to my stand last week. Perfect for an all day sit or less, it’s my new daily driver for hunting. Only thing I don’t like is there’s no top strap to hang the the pack while in the stand. But like others have done, I used the hydration bladder hook inside the pack and used a piece of paracord and a small carabiner for quick detach/attach in the stand. Overall I’m very pleased with it.
