Ballistic Vest Reviews

Vest

Comfortable, well made, pockets are great

Great product

Love the vest. The magnetic closure seals the deal for me (no pun intended). Pocket placement is a little awkward but the vest permits easy access to jacket pockets so it’s not a big deal as I can use the jacket pockets and ignore the vest pockets. Bino harnesses make using the zippers on the zip cargo pockets a challenge. Ideally those zippers should be a bit higher or lower to make it easier to get around them with a harness. Hand pockets are too far rearward to be easy to use. But again, I just use my jacket pockets and no issues.

Best I’ve owned, if you hunt out west this vest I’d highly recommend, PS…. Don’t tell anyone, but remove the shooting pad and slide mega hand warmers in there and bam, keeps you warm too, ……..

Great vest

I like this vest fits great like the zip pockets. I was Leary on the magnetic chest clip. But works great no problems.

Elk Hunters Best Friend

Perfect design. I wear it over my outerwear and it fits perfectly. The best vest on the market!

This was exactly what I expected coming from Sitka.

Ballistics Vest...Vest for Life

I have a collection of blaze orange vests. However, none of them every really fit me well or lasted. The quality of them was poor. Earlier this season I invested in the Sitka Ballistics vest. It fits extremely well, the seams are good, and the pockets are located in ideal locations. I was so impressed that I ordered two more for my son and daughter. I am confident the ballistics vest will last for many years of hunting.

Ballistic Vest fits just like

Ballistic Vest fits just like it should.

Excellent vest

Excellent vest...roomy, handy pockets, with a simple, slick, magnetic closure. Slight drawback is the material is a bit noisier than wool when moving through brush. For most situations, this is not an issue.

Great vest

Nice light vest. Fit my needs

Love the fit. It’s nice

Love the fit. It’s nice to have a blaze orange vest (not a coat) that has exterior pockets. The adjustability is a great feature.

Well made .

Ballistic vest

Will never have to buy another one for the rest of my hunting career!

Just about perfect

The only drawback is I can't make it any tighter around my torso. I bought it to fit over my hunting clothes during a very long and widely ranging rifle season. I just wish I could shrink it down a bit more on those 50 degree days when I'm wearing less under it.

What a great best. Lightweight

Great vest. Liked the zippered pockets and the easy on and off.

Top tier

I personally am a loyal buyer of Sitka’s orange logo competitor, but there’s no denying this is best blaze orange vest on the market.

Most useful piece of hunting

Most useful piece of hunting orange I own, but finding the right size seems tricky. Definitely order at least a size up from normal.

Great product I am very happy with it. A lot nicer than other vests I have had.

What a vest...I have been

What a vest...I have been using them for years and they are the best on the market hands down.

I’ve worn cheap blaze orange

I’ve worn cheap blaze orange for many years just to fulfill the legal requirements. Those vests didn’t fit well and they covered up the pockets of my outer layer. This vest is a little heavy but it is made well. The clasp and pockets are nice. The pad in the shoulder removes easily for those like me that don’t want it. This vest will last me the rest of my life!

I love it I wish there was a pouch for birds.

This vest is the best

This vest is the best of the best. The pad takes it to the next level. They truly think of everything in each product. The magnetic clasp is great and holds strong. Would recommend it to anyone.

Quick delivery worked awesome for what I needed it for made with quality!!

Is it a lot for

Is it a lot for a vest? Yes but if you are layering with other Sitka gear this is what you want. It is cut to fit with other Sitka products and lays perfect with items like the incinerator bibs and jacket. I like the clasp and how it is magnetic. The built in shoulder pad is nice but not needed so it is nice that it is removable. I am happy with the vest but would only buy again if it was on sale.

I initially went with the large, but after receiving it I exchanged it for the XL. It’s quiet, and seems to be durable, have taken it out 3 times so far. It’s a simple but affective design

Best orange vest I’ve worn.

Best orange vest I’ve worn. Very well made. If you have to wear orange you might as well have a useful piece. Great pockets. Easy on/off. Material is quiet and durable.

This vest is designed nice

This vest is designed nice with its fit and closure. But, and this is a big but, the fabric is terribly noisy. I wear a complete Fanatic set which is silent in the deer woods then I have this vest that is one of the loudest fabrics I've worn in the woods. I would say this would be great for everything EXCEPT big game hunting. It's simply too noisy for pursuing whitetail. I love all my Sitka gear , this would be great for small game hunting, but definitely not what you want in the Maine deer woods.

This is a well designed

This is a well designed and built vest. The best fits well and the material will stand up to what ever you throw at it. I really liked the zipper pockets and the magnetic front clasp.

I believe this will be

I believe this will be the last blaze orange vest you would ever buy. Worth the money spent.

Great little lightweight orange vest

Great little lightweight orange vest with lots of pockets and quiet and comfortable. I don’t deer hunt a lot, but when I do, it’s on me.

Four stars for me. The

Four stars for me. The product itself is well made and fits perfectly. It’s the lack of features that I would have liked to have in a $100 vest. One, shot shell holders in pockets, two, a separate compartment sewn in the back for upland hunting birds e.g. quail, grouse, pheasant etc and then finally is a clip or eyelets on the back to hang a hunting license. Many states don’t require to have it hung visibility but it’s nice to be able to and not have to put diaper pins holes though the back to hang one. Just my two cents for my uses. Good luck out there people and be safe.

This is a really well

This is a really well made vest. The material is sturdy and the magnetic clasp is great. Fits true to size, I got a large and it fits over my large Jetstream jacket with ease.
