The blizzard hat is extremely warm. We had quite a few weeks of below zero temperatures this year and my head was literally sweating. Again, one of the warmest pieces of Sitka gear I own. Downside is that it is a touch snug.

My favorite hat for cold weather. One of my only hats that fully covers my ears. I have both marsh and elevated and had one of those hats on my head for over 100 hunts. It keeps me warm, dry, blocks the sun, and keeps precipitation off my face. I need one in blaze orange.

One size fits all is one of only two issues that this hat suffers from. The second issue is the lack of a model of this same hat with a brim all the way around. With a noggin of 7 5/8", I must wear the hat with the ear flaps flipped up on the exterior instead of curled up inside. What would a fellow with 8" of grey matter containing skull have to do?

Nice hat. A little hesitant about the OSFA. However, the adjustable headband makes it fit perfectly. The earflaps can be folded-up when you need to dump heat quickly. When the earflaps are down, the hat is very warm and waterproof.
