These are a great every hunt layer November on, don't think I had them in October, but are really light and I am sure they'd be good earlier too.

Not built for the hunt

They’re very warm and do a great job insulating in the field, but they just don’t hold up. I’ve worn mine on 2 south central Alaskan hunts this fall and they’re already just about ripped to shreds. I don’t even want to imagine how poorly they’d hold up in a more rugged environment.

Core Merino 120 Bottom

The Core Merino 120 Bottom is a good quality product that I use as a base layer. The bottoms does an excellant job at wicking away moisture during my hike to my stand.

Great Baselayer

They fit well and help with insulation, when needed, througout deer season. They font have the itchy feeling and are soft. Im 5'9 190lbs and the Lg fit me well.

The extra touch

When it’s chilly but not cold enough to warrant the stratus and the stand is on your back and you’re moving in these keep me just a little dryer than I would be after 2 miles in on public. Pairs well with traverse pants.

Go to baselayer

I’ve been wearing the merino 120’s as my go to baselayer for more than 10 years on September archery elk hunts at 7-10k foot elevation. Incredible wicking, always comfortable, and no bulk layering for those wild September temp swings. Excellent odor resistance. I’ve rotated two pairs of baselayers on extended backcountry hunts up to 19 days and I wouldn’t use anything else. I can confidently recommend these for extended backcountry hunts

Pretty happy with it, been in the woods for a week now and had them on since day one, even sleep with em to keep me warmer during the night. Its a safe bet , cant go wrong with those. Pretty happy with my purchase

This mid layer packs a big punch. Super thin but keeps you warm. I have wore them for 1 season and great when temps are just above freezing.
