Great layer for hunting in North Carolina. Not too hot, but still something to cover up with for early-mid season. Fits well, but it is meant to be a mid-layer, so it isn't very baggy.

Core Merino 220 - Baselayer Excellence

I have used multiple merino baselayers and midlayers over the years. I am pleased to say this new 120 and 220 merino pieces are the most comfortable I have worn. The Armorspun tech is really ingenious and means comfort and durability, which until now has meant a two-layer piece. Really impressive.

Was really excited this but on my first hunt after getting back for the day they had already came apart at the seam. Not very big but for spending good money I feel like I should get so thing that doesn't come apart on the first wear

Didn’t get to try it. Think I might return it. Maybe it’s the fabric section used to make this shirt I got but it has a ton of white vs a fanatic vest that has more dark shades with patches of light. I stand hunt the NE and it just doesn’t seem to fit the seasons where you might wear it as a top shirt in a stand. Only thing I might do is wear it as a base if I don’t return it. I was really hoping for a good shirt for warmer mornings that didn’t need a jacket yet. I’d love it if it was the same shade as the fanatic gear but it’s much lighter. Seems more like something to wear in the snow.

220 Half Zip

This is a great addition to my base layering. Used it first time this week, sunrise temp was 38 degrees - this merino 220 over a lightweight base and fanatic hoodie was perfectly comfortable for a 5 hour sit.

I am a fan of the material but not the fit of this half zip. I prefer a looser fit. For some reason this fits a little tighter than most of my other Sitka gear. Maybe size up if you prefer a little baggier fit.

Great fit and looking forward to giving it a field review this fall. Seems like a must have base layer. Quality seems on par for Sitka brand. I will update the review after the 2024 season.

Thought fit was good. I think the 220 is the perfect warmth. But it was itchy for me. Hopefully doesnt drive me crazy on the stand

Core Moreno 220 Half-zip

This half zip is exactly what I needed to top off my gear. Heavy enough to knock down the chill of those early morning hunts but light enough to be comfortable when the sun comes out. Will buy in other colors.
