Multi Use

The 220 is the perfect weight and warmth for layering when it’s cold and as an outer layer for a slight chill when I’m fishing. I have the 330 and it’s just too warm most times. I use the 220 as a mid layer hunting and skiing. Sitka is all about finding the right fit for the piece of clothing. I’m 5’9 160 and the medium is a perfect athletic fit.

Most comfortable and versatile base layer ever!

This is hands down one of the most comfortable base layers I’ve worn. The 220 is a great mid weight and performed exceptionally well in the back country during elk season and as a layer under my ski gear. Definitely recommend giving the merino series a try.

The cottonlike material is my favorite as dri fit (in my opinion) makes me think I smell. I’m a female and ordered the men’s instead of the women’s due to the fit in the shoulders/arms. The length has been great to pair with leggings! This is great for layering or on its own. Has a great light weight performance quality to it. A must for every hunters closet!

I live in Mississippi where I hunt Deer, Turkey and Duck. The Core Merino top is a staple for all three. On the coldest days my core merino top, ambient jacket and Jetstream jacket are all I need. I am 6 feet and 195 with 35 inch waist. I wear a large in all things Sitka.

Wash, Dryer Dry, & Wear Merino Wool?

I bought both the half zip top and the bottoms in XL. They are both very comfortable and don't irritate my skin which is great. It's also very nice that I can wash and dry them with my other laundry. That avoids the usual chore of washing wool separately on a short cycle with special soap, and avoids having to lay them flat to dry. I wear these for all my outdoor adventures in the cold, and believe me it can get cold in Montana!

Core Merino 220

The half-zip is a great option for layering. It breathes well removing moisture from your body. I wear this shirt 5 straight day on a Mississippi bow hunt. It never had an odor or smelled of sweat. Awesome garment, as with all Sitka gear, true to size.

Really like the feel of this shirt. Got in a solid color to wear just around as well. Seems like it fits true to size. Perfect layered over the 120.

I’m 5’10” 185 lbs. I purchased size XL. This medium weight merino has been perfect for Virginia November December season. The half zip is great to vent out or zip up when cold. I use a sports Dri-Fit T-shirt underneath and works well combined with XL Jetstream Jacket or XL Traverse Hoody or with a Dakota Vest. As the colder weather moves in, I switched to the Marino 330. The Marino wool keeps me warm and doesn’t smell like the synthetic. I also prefer the size XL as to not to feel tight and like the looser fit.
